and i am not crying about GHash
iam crying about cores and errors and beagleboards

Did you try switching pools? I had over 10% hardware errors (as reported by bertmod) and many cores disabling. After I switched from Eligius it went down to 1.2% with no cores disabling. Many people have reported similar findings.

That was the entire point the HW errors were known to be on Eligius. They weren't present on other pools like BTCGuild. We used the miner I had taken to the states and pointed them at both. We had ~14% on Eligius, and ~1.5% on BTCGuild with the same device. Whizzkid had known about this and was trying to solve the issue, we sent him a box to do so, in the end one of our software engineers had an idea he wanted to try and did so over the weekend.

Make my day! Say thanks if you found me helpful Smiley BTC Address --->

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

i have to agree with @Avenger
is past many time users report this situation and @orama say only yesterday enginnear start working patch

we pay lot of money for see slow support?

You paid for 400GH or maybe less and you got 550GH or 680GH(depending on your batch) and you are crying for 10-20GH? whiners will always whine!

Slow support? I get e-mail replies the same day. No idea what slow support are you talking about.
Do you even have a miner? wizkid was being very generous saying it was "at least" 10-20GH. I know in my case it's more like 30-40GH. And now obama reports 14%! That's about 80GH - is that inconsequential you fool? People are voiding their warranty oc'ing their miners to get much less than 80GH extra out of them. People are paying thousands to buy devices that produce as much as we are losing due to poor knc coding. That's not whining buddy, that a very legitimate complaint. And I see this as another f-up that a certain company won't take responsibility for, to try to maintain their "flawless" record!!! Haha, flawless. It would be flawless if it was left to people like you to joke off 80GH like it was nothing.

WTF?
KNC owes NOBODY an apology over the doggone code. I's called "development." Especially since you got MORE hashrate than u paid for.
Would you like to wait for your miner 'till the code is done being tweaked?
O'rama    don't sweat them...  Peeps with half a noodle in their head know, and appreciate....

Thank you for showing us that!

ok now i am even more confused then before, lol..

the neptunes are 3 th/s they should make close to 1 btc a day?

At todays difficulty, yes. By the time you receive it, only a fraction of that, and by the end of next year, probably just bitcoin dust.
How much and how fast exactly difficulty will go up is anyone's guess, it depends among other things how many people think like you, but its not going to remain where it is now. A hint:

If YOU got 550GH or whatever, you seem to think everyone got that. Why is it so impossible for you numbnuts to see the world from someone else's perspective? I know exactly what it is - it's "F*** you, Jack; I got mine" -itis.

I'll remind you for the 7 millionth time of this gem of knc's not-too-distant-past.

Hi,

We understand your concern regarding your miner not performing as well as others, however as your hash rate is higher than 400GH/s we cannot issue a RMA. We are continuously working on the firmware to improve performance and stability.

You can twist and turn and say whatever, but you can't change the FACTS. I'm more than happy to keep pointing them out.

I guess when they took you up on the alien spaceship Phoenix, they conducted some experiments on your brain. And it seems they left you with permanent die0 noodle0 issues Wink But that's okay, I guess it's a "development" issue...

So, for Eligius users....

"Limit the work_id counter update rate. Update it only to the number of
works actually consumed by the FPGA, not to the number of works send."

would be cool if someone report back on results & a walk-thru directions for others.

Jelin... I smell your firmware update coming....

I'm really happy about this because Eliguis is my Fav pool

Now next time O'rama has info like that he can share.... He might not even post it, and make us wait for a firmware update, whereas nobody would have been the wiser except a performance increase on eligius.

Metaphorically you are "biting the hand that feeds us"... please stop that, you could cost other members btc earnings over being rude.

Here's another fact for you to check....
Do you remember what the guaranteed hash-rate was when you bought your miner?

I'll go one better - I'll tell you exactly what my Jupiter was hashing at the pool when it arrived, (many weeks later than promised, many thousands of dollars worth of btc already lost because of that):

260GH/s

Is that 550GH? Is that 400GH? Is that more than I paid for? No x3.

And when I informed knc of this massively under-performing piece of shit (and I used much nicer language than that when I contacted them), did they go out of their way to help? Did they say they were sorry to have shipped me such a piece of trash? Did they try to come to any kind of compromise to fix it without it costing me thousands more? And did a company, that tries to pretend they value their customers, ever contact me via this forum to see if they could work things out? No to all of the above. They don't give a shit.

I think their own official forum exists so they can compile a list of people who are critical of them and then fuck them over should they need an RMA. It sure has nothing to do with answering customers questions!

Let's face it, knc are just another sleazy asic company who are only interested in taking people's money and doing the least they possibly can to fulfil their obligations. I'm pretty sure they were going to take everyone's money b4 Xmas. But once I wrote they'd be seen as greedy bastards for doing it, they went back and removed the line that mentioned "Friday" from their last newsletter Grin

But back to the point. Now - are you & others going to continue telling me I got more than I paid for??

Of course i have a miner, unlike you Smiley Check my other posts. I even had a board go on fire and it took 3 days from the moment i sent the damaged board until the moment i powered up the new board. Anyway you are complaining for 14% on a single stupid pool after Jupiters got over 50% increase in hashrate (from 400GH to 680GH)

Ok KnC are a shit company. I'm ok with that. It means that nobody will buy their products except their happy customers. More hashing power for us.

By the way Avenger still hashing with 260GH? How long did it take you to repair your miner?

and i am not crying about GHash
iam crying about cores and errors and beagleboards

I see what you are saying about hardware errors but how does the return compare.  Anyone with two similar miners tried pointing one at Eligius and the other elsewhere that reports fewer HW errors and see if the lower HW rate actually effectively means anything?  I was in Walmart the other day, looked at two large packages of toilet paper and wondered which was cheaper.  I pretty much knew but took out my cellphone/calculator and did the math.  The shelf label on one said like 7.7cents per unit cost and the other 6.6 cents per unit cost while doing the math shows one was 77cents per roll and the other 66 cents per roll.  So, the labels were off by an order of magnitude unless there are only 10 sheets of paper per roll and that isn't the case.  Is what's being reported accurate?

Sell your miner then.  You just sit here & whine & cry & lie.
At the time October orders were offered on June 2nd, Jupiters were guaranteed to be 350 gigahash... upped it to 400 on june 26th  you got over 400. Those are the facts.
KNC also continued to do RMA's despite that email you posted, that's not even yours.

Paid shill IMO.  As no one would put in so much effort over falsities compared to average opinion for nothing.

Something to keep in mind:

They originally were marketed at X hash rate, and ended up averaging over 500 which a lot of people then used as a platform to sweep away issues. Example, "stop complaining, is it more than the advertised price? Then you'refine".

That's fine and all--until KNC starts using the new average hash speeds, as the advertised price. Which they did.

Which is why we still have people complaining. What was promised for the first run was less than what was delivered--awesome. However, there are folks complaining about the issues after those first few orders. So I can understand why some folks are angry.

The company took the stance of "well this is the new standard". So if it's the new standard--even if it's an October unit--some folks are displeased if they're stuck in the 400's, and rightly so.

Well the twenty-four hour average hashrate for our November Jupiter is up to and around 700GH/s.  While it was advertised at 650GH/s so yes we're very happy.  Our day one October Jupiter had a dead board and they replaced it within a week.  So even tho we lost around 5BTC during the wait they still fixed it promptly.

Who'd buy a fucking broken piece of shit miner? I wouldn't sell it pretending it was working, like some might.

And lie? When did I lie? Like you told everyone you got free boards from knc and then started to say you didn't? That kind of lie? Liar?

You really need to crawl out of knc's ass you sad little gimp.

you got over 400. Those are the facts.

Wow, I didn't even notice that once again you told ME what I got!! That's funny. Even when I told you what I actually "got". What is wrong with your knc bought and paid for brain buddy? It's definitely a "development" issue. Maybe knc or the aliens can get in their and reprogram - this Phoenix1969 batch went badly wrong. Here's hoping for the Phoenix1970 firmware.

Seriously. Avg 700 on ghash with basically no how errors. Certainly not losing 20gh except when running eligius. Since that has been repeated soooooo many times in this thread, anyone who was sitting on eligius losing hashes had nobody to blame but themselves.

I am tired of the trolls, I just don't get it. I've done spectacular returns with my jupiters, what a terrific choice going with knc compared to any other company. If you are just an angry nasty person who has to bitch constantly, you should just sell your machines. There are plenty of buyers out there still paying more than you spent initially, plus you will have mined a bunch of coin by now.

You're right avenger, I don't give a shit what happened to you. You fail at life, and things should go wrong for you. That's what happens to dirtbags. Yep, I'm a paid shill. I made BANK on knc. Suck it.

the problem seems to be only with November Jupiters, not that I have one

my October Jupiter runs 560GH/s and under 1% HW errors
forgot to mention at eligius
