Did anyone learn anything from the BFL liars? never trust a asic company period Cheesy they say one thing do another...and it'll happen with every asic company too Tongue if you owned a asic company and was able to make knc dc, would you stick to your promise? hell no you wouldn't Tongue and if you said yes you should go work for BFL or any asic company hehe

seems like everyone is a scam of some kind here, keep finding it thread after thread. Sad

did knc actually deliver their litecoin mining hardware?  just got to this thread and only read the last few pages of rage :/

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

BTW, one of the pictures is an absolute horror show with endless rows of Jupiter modules hashing.

As PsychoticBoy said, it's disgusting. It really is.

Not more than 5%? This datorhall is probably big enough to be 100%+ of what they shipped to customers.

All our earnings are disappearing because we are competing against this (I copied it to imgur so I could embed it):

Thanks knc - assholes Angry

Here - blast from the past - lest people forget what kind of MFs they are

Looks Nipy and Tity were the latest physical miner we could purchase from knc.

Also, A/C's have an efficiency of ~30% which means it would take a 4000 watt unit to remove the heat from your 1260 watts worth of gridseed blades.

Um AC have an "efficiency" of 300% to 500%+.  They are heat pumps.  1W of electricity is sufficient to move 3 to 5W of heat.

I feel like such an idiot!   Embarrassed Would you believe I am working night shifts right now?

I apologize, but a fan is about a thousand times more efficient in MOVING heat than any "Air-con".

Besides there nothing wrong with running the equipment at its operating temperature. Google's stage 3 colo uses very little cooling; the colo is about 80F all the time, Google saves over 1billion in cooling costs a each year!

There's loads of goodies in this 1700 thread forum. Avenger has a knack for finding this crazy (but true) stuff. I just reposted it to help put this back into perspective.

I thought the mining farm was simply hosting for customer ASICs?  They said they would never mine with more than 5% of sales to customers!
Wait I'll see if I can find a link to the quote...
Here it is!  https://www.kncminer.com/pages/faq <-- see question #2

Yeah, they didn't actually keep that promise.

And that's not the only promise they didn't keep...

their mining farm generates about $500,000 usd a day. They won't be going bankrupt anytime soon. They're just greedy bastards which is why they delay the refunds.

Sam Cole told Forbes they are making 8,000,000 SEK a day that's $1,203,552.00 USD currently.

The only article I remember was one on a Swedish website that reported knc were mining three million kronor a day, which I calculated at the time was
3,000,000.00 SEK = 458,525.01 USD

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=170332.msg6057284#msg6057284

They are still mining $1million+ each week, so I also find it hard to see them going bankrupt any time soon.

That is terrible.  So they have driven the difficulty up using our per-order money to fund the operation and neutered our pre-ordered miners in the process while at the same time suppressing Bitcoin price by dumping them on the market as they are produced.  Did Sam not say they had a "Customer first" policy?!  Huh! Platinum member of the Bitcoin foundation to boot...

Yeah, it seems you have to have a questionable CV to become a platinum member nowadays... And a great deal of (customers') money.

16 May start refund

28 May:
Quote
Hi,

Usually it takes 10 business days to process refund but it will take longer this time, as finance department is extremely busy and loaded with work.
Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do to rush up the process.
Apologies for inconveniences caused.

Best regards

I see that they have Bitcoins. Why would they pull the rubber?!

Spond announced that the SP30 will be more than 6Ths - 0.46w/Ghs , KNC will be in real trouble with the coming Neptunes if they dont deliver on time and within specs.

Also a potential mini-SP30 here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=630749.0 Only if we get 400 units!

KNC, Spondoolies, and every other popular asic company will soon be cloud contract only.
Why do I say this?
over 50 Chinese asic manufacturer reps showed up to their meeting. http://www.coindesk.com/private-china-meeting-bitcoin-mining-industry-leaders/
Only 3 of them have delivered so far. (including avalon)
Soon there will be so many china asics, there will be no more pre-order bullshit like black friday at walmart, and the prices will drop to the point they simply cannot compete. China will put them in cereal boxes and cracker jacks!
= diff so high that it creates dead bitcoin days and a shortage while everyone saves up an entire year to earn their first satoshi
I smell a price rise coming.
The time to earn anything substantial (BTC wise) with a miner is growing short IMHO.
Kudos to those who were lucky enough to get spondoolies early on...

you are wrong, there is plenty of time to keep adding to our rigs (granted we are better off using hosting services now). you are just spreading FUD.

I think so, ASIC miner is not so stable, usually earlier failure, also users OC too often and with up spec, so makers really hard to measure RMA repair responsibility, so cloud mining is the trend of them makers.

Nipy and Tity also the last physical miner I would like to buy from the market, after that I will soon transfer to cloud mining after knccloud enable.
