saw this article...  looks like congratulations are due to KnCMiner for their recent investment (60m) to build more datacenters.

http://www.di.se/artiklar/2014/8/28/de-bygger-sedelpress-i-boden/

the google translation of swedish looks like this...

So this beats Bitfury's 20M$ funding? Pretty surprising!

They got 20 Million for just the batch 1 and 2 pre-orders for the Neptune.   Plus the early and current mining income.

Then the profits from the Mercurys, Saturns, and Jupiters sales.  Plus the early and current mining income.

Getting 20M$ in sales is one thing and getting 60M$ in funding is a totally different thing.

the article didn't specify which currency the 60m was.  could have just as easily been $ or SEK (Swedish Krona) for all we know.  we should wait til we hear a proper release or more details elsewhere before assuming it was $60m, which would be a pretty sizeable bitcoin investment by a huge margin!

People from all over the world come to KnCMiner because they think it is the most exciting company to work for.

He and GP Bullhound recently received a contract to bring in fresh capital to KnCMiner, $ 100 million to be used to build four new data centers.

Well, with any luck the difficulty will go so high that they go bankrupt.  I think we're probably 50% of the way there!

With some of this VC funding into these large farms, one has to wonder if the board(s) that gave the OK have any idea WTF their investments are reliant upon.

As predict, bitcoin might ramp again over 1000usd by Q4 or next January, 4 bitcoin will worth 4000usd, then with in 4 months, that will double investment again, but that's kind of gambaling.

It's just a matter of time when the price of Bitcoin surges. When US economy tanks, the writing is on the wall, people will start pouring their money into BTC again.

i feel there will be at least 'one more final push' down to shake out the 'weak hands'

and that could take us down lower than many will be able to stomach.

but for those who already shorted, it is just a matter of buying back in at the 'bottom', then.....'m00n'

months, not weeks

I think that knc is going crazy. Concracts are too expensive and for a limited time !

https://www.kncminer.com/products/1ths-of-bitcoin-mining-for-6-months

How the fuck with that ROI?

4 bitcoins for 1 tera/hash for only 6 months. I think that ROI (with all calculators) is impossible

I'm trying to figure out why cloud mining is such a rip off right now. You figure that there would be some price competition to bring the prices closer to reality.

For now at least, I'm sure that sooner or later their will be less profit doing that, than running a legitimate business.

We're open for business.

Today we’re proud to publicly announce the opening of our new cloud hashing system KnCCloud.com, delivered from our Clear Sky mining farms in the polar region.

Now that we’ve delivered most of our 20nm Neptune Bitcoin Miners we’ve got overcapacity from the expired ”Plan B - Hash While You Wait” offers. These were all delivered from our 7+PH/s Clear Sky mining farm in the north of Sweden. Now for a limited time we’re selling that overcapacity in packaged online mining contracts.

This is powerful Bitcoin mining made easy.

Our farms are naturally cooled by the surrounding arctic air and exclusively powered by renewable energy. Our miners and workers enjoy a clear sky view as we keep our hangar doors open for natural circulation.

Our 24/7 - polar night, midnight sun - operations features:

* Up-to-the-minute stats with graphs on your mining history.
* Individual payout threshold settings.
* One-click calculation of sharing balance among addresses.
* KnC Clear Sky Pool (PPS).
* 2-factor authentication & SSL-protected admin area.
* Split payouts onto multiple addresses automagically.
* No hidden fees (no setup costs, no maintenance fee, no pool fee, no energy tax fee). The price we market is the price you pay.
* No ”+-5% fluctuation” (we absorb fluctuations with our margin mining on top of the pool) - the terahash you pay for is the terahash you get.

Get in early - limited number of packages for sale.

1995 USD for 1 TH/s (6 months) ≈ 1.99 USD/GHs
(≈333 USD if calculated as a monthly expense)

5495 USD for 3 TH/s (6 months) ≈ 1.89 USD/GHs
(≈915 USD if calculated as a monthly expense)

8995 USD for 5 TH/s (6 months) ≈ 1.79 USD/GHs
(≈1499 USD if calculated as a monthly expense)

All applicable costs are included in the packaged contracts.

These online mining contracts are payable in bitcoin and bank transfers only and sold as full 6-months packages (they can not be paid monthly) and are non-refundable. Activation immediately upon confirmed full payment.

This offer is only available in select territories (we're working on expanding this list as quickly as possible).

Best,

The KnC Team, Stockholm, September 2, 2014.
