Do you feel shameful for being a gambler?

Unless and until you not cheating anyone we no need to shameful. Gambling is if anyone doing its up to him what is shame on it being gambler may be done for fun some time it become habit of him so I don't agree that some one feel shameful for being a gambler.

I cannot find any shameful stuff for being a gambler.  I have been gambling for decades now and I have not affected my family and relatives negatively.  I only play with my free money and always make sure that I won't use any money that is allocated to my family needs.  As long as we are doing good, enjoying the gambling games and not affecting anyone negatively, i believe there is no reason to be shameful on being a gambler.

In my own opinion, i am not ashamed for being a gambler and i do not hide to my families and friends that i gamble because i also play with them. We only play for fun not for profit because gambling is also the reason that we strengthens our bonds with each other. There is no reason to be ashamed because everybody has a dirty things to do.

You should only be ashamed if you keep wasting your money but if you are playing with only small amount then it is fine. The only thing matter is wether you spend alot of money or not but even if you do with your own then it is fine. Some people have alot of fortune that they can keep on spending without even worrying about it

It's not about you did something wrong but there are situations that it is about your own ego. It's shameful when you are living in a community or society where people see gambling as something bad or ugly. We don't have to feel ashamed of it but I feel those people who are living in those places that I mentioned.

Play with a mindset of having fun and dont play with the intention of getting alot money or trying to be rich. If we keep playing with intention of trying to be rich then we will keep losing more. These are my 10 rules when I was an avid gambler

1° You Can't become rich with betting! You can make a big win, but in a long period (what we are talking here) you CAN'T become rich! A good percentage of winning is only the "sure win" and no it can help to become rich Smiley .

2° Play only an amount of money that you are ready to trash in the rubbish (litterally), because, if you play to win (like an all in) it's really hard to win in a long period of betting, also the skills of a better are every time stressed due the high risk.
 (The money management it's the best approach to a long period winning streak).

3° Bet only in a site/bookmaker that you know! Don't trust in a site with HIGH quotes and strange way to withdraw money. Don't trust in a competition made by unknown sites, If you are betting with crypto I can suggest DirectBet.eu .
Try to follow forum / user / group, where you can read analysis of a bet, impression about a match , so on....

4° Take a pause between the bet session. Depends in your quality, but every 1-2 hours make a pause where you "breath again", take a look of the previously betting session, drink water Smiley etc....

5° Never (so far) trust "tipster" that claim high winnings, because, it's not a statistic success, but only fortune Smiley (I have a good basic of statistics and only a tipster for a specific league/sport is plausible, other try to create a good crew, to spam sites, clickbaiting, sell "bet" etc etc....

6° NEVER play (to win) if you are: Tired, stressed, bored, angry etc etc..... There is a strong effect come from the morale of better.... 

7° Even if you can, try to bet LIVE (and see a streaming of the match): for at least the 70 - 75 % of betting.
You have to place At least 90 % of betting in a competition/team that you KNOW WELL! 
Never play "easy" results with big amounts, like "A vs B 3:0" because if you don't know the team names, other info at so on....

8° Try to apply a rule in a betting (an elastic rule sound better Cheesy ) ....
Like... in the horse racing with more of 3 miles with hurdles some one as correlated (with a good R and good causation), when there is no an horse "strong favourite @ < 2" .... the horse quoted from 7 to 10 are really favourite, also when a 3 -6.99 horse run. Yes I know it's sound strange, but It can really work in a long period.... 
Another 2 easy example, in a dog greyhound, very often the position 3-6 are (no handicap) are unlike by the runners, due the high number of collisions during the run...
In wta tennis, the top ten after winning a set are really favored to take a final win....

9° Play ONLY when you are sure to win! But REMEMBER: there is not an easy betting [RULE 7] (at least for the 99.99% of the case), because, everything it's possible Cheesy , and when a bet it's really to simple to win... is not quoted!!!!
Don't trust (again) tipster, likewise some one on facebook that sell H/F time bet of rigged match... ( I don't believe in this user, because if you play by yourself you can become rich with only one bet!)

10° Last but don't least.... Don't play too much events in one toto bet! 
Yes! don't make "a long long list" in only one bet to pump up the prize.
@100 x 2 btc = 200 btc... with 1000 bet 0f 1.10......

The @100 is not only a Cheesy happy number, "i can become rich" but it's a probability number, that your events will be set winning! 

Trust me Cheesy bookmaker want that you try to catch this high prize, because more match together implies more difficult (and I think with some numbers it's really impossible win). 
A good friend (in the real life) use to bet from 6-10 bet every time like handicap, over 2,5 etc etc.... 

Him can get really the 90% of single match, but for only 1 every time him loose!
Why?!? Because if you play 6-10 single with strong quotes more @1.70 so far, you can protect your self for the "lucky bad of the last bet". There is also a psychological correlation, to see the prize get up, the vast majority of better, try to place the "surprise" or decide deliberately to point to more bet.

Enjoyment turns out to be different later on when you are already changing your mood towards gambling which is commonly do happen on most gamblers.They say that they do play for fun it doesnt really matter at all but it would really be an another story when you are losing up money and chasing it which would possibly to cause even more problem regarding on financial and if people on your place do see that situation then it would really be a shameful thing.

In many cultures and countries is gambling consider as a bad thing which only the poorest and silliest ones do. Many gamblers try to hide that they gamble from their friends and families and feel really shameful for that. Do you consisted gambling as a bad thing? Do you feel shameful or proud for being a gambler? If it is shame what you feel what do you about it? How do you hide you're a gambler and who do you hide it from?

That can be shameful if you are not a responsible person and you are making gambling in your first list before your family and duties. And that is making gambling as a bad habit if that is bringing them a very bad result. I'm just hiding that I'm gambling because I wanted to hide it since my family already knew about it.

Definitely right. Especially when you are just gambling to be entertained then how this can be shameful? When you are gambling with your extra money after paying all the monthly dues, done with the groceries and providing all you family needs and making a gambling just a little reward for a job well done then nothing to be ashame of.

No, I dont feel any shame at all for being a gambler, be ashamed if you did something wrong just to gamble like getting loan or selling something that you own just to play, its not a good habit for a gambler to do that and that is very shameful.

that is correct gambling is completely fine as long as those are your funds which you are using the moment
you start taking loans and give fake promises to people and take moeny from them you should surely be ashamed
of yourself as you already risked your funds now you are risking the other persons funds as well

Yeah, Being a gambler isn’t a shameful thing until or unless its effect ends up on you and if other people get hurt from your gambling and even then you are not stopping gambling, then you should feel ashamed of yourself.

We don’t have any right to stop someone from gambling because everyone has his own private life and disturbing his life isn’t a good thing but if you come to know that the person who is gambling doesn’t owe that money, then you should definitely stop him because this stopping will save him from bigger crisis.

I also thought of this and ask why would people be ashamed if they gamble? Can’t they give themselves some break and let loose? Agree with you pal. As long as you havent done any bad things in gambling you shouldnt be shameful. Also you feel ashame if you are addicted to the gambling like you have a lot of debpts and also loans that you should be ashame.to the people youve borrowed money. Shame or not to be a gambler is definitely different from everyone. Many people who think gambling is not a good thing, and when they know we are gambling, it can be embarrassing for us because we are considered doing bad things. But there is also no matter when considered like that, there is also a shameless and ignore all the assumptions of people.

My answer is no, why would I be shameful. I guess it's not a sin and I am not committing a crime either, for others who think gambling is very dangerous, that would only mean that they are not responsible enough to engage in a risky game. What I see is that bitcoin is a form of entertainment and based on experience, I enjoy doing it, so it's not a sin to have fun when you are not hurting others.

I agree there is nothing to be ashamed when you are gambling. Although in our country gambling is also considered as not a good habit, I personally think that the worst on gambling is how one person would control his or herself over it. People gamble due to different circumstances and not all their reasons are due to addicition. For me gambling would only be shameful once you already stepped on other people while doing it, or you gained big debts due to lack of control over yourself when you gamble and the worst to be shameful is when you forgot everything especially your obligation to your family, friends, work etc due to gambling.

That's correct that it's a shame gambling with stolen funds. It's not shame to gamble if it is your own funds, it's just we can't judge people thinking that gambling is a shameful activity. Also it is a shame that when you gamble and then your money are lose that nothing left in your pocket and you still gamble.
