Do you feel shameful for being a gambler?

It is not a bad thing.. gambling is the last tool that a poor guy can use in order to earn more money, and he will lose it all.

Those are only stereotyps that the society has built, there are millionaires gambling all their millions in a single game.

In many cultures and countries is gambling consider as a bad thing which only the poorest and silliest ones do. Many gamblers try to hide that they gamble from their friends and families and feel really shameful for that.

And i do not feel shameful because i dont like gambling, i only use to play it when i am with some friends or when we go to a casino just to have some fun in there.

No gambler should be. It's not something to be ashamed of.

I did a gamble but not a lot so I'm not shameful. But I've seen a gambler addict that is not ashamed about it. They are already trapped in it that they don't care what they do or what will people think of him doing it and getting addicted with it.

I also see a lot of gamblers who are not ashamed to be gamblers. They often tell me about gambling and I just listen. I'm not a gambler and I would be embarrassed if being a gambler, but they're not because they feel so. We can not force them to be ashamed of being gamblers, that's their choice. For me, I don't really care about my relatives because  I am making money own money and I have the right to gamble, I can listen to their advice
but I won't follow their orders. As long as you are old and matured enough, you can make your own decision even if you gamble and lose but if you enjoy there is nothing to be ashamed of.

I would be fine with alcohol and gambling because i believe i have a good control over myself to not overdo things and not go out of the scope of my reason to get addicted to stuff that could prove fatal in long run of my life.

I think the positive or negative remarks on gambling solely depend on the individual. A person may start gambling because his peers and friends do this regularly. So, he starts gambling as a result of interest developed by others. Having said that, there are some countries where gambling is forbidden or discouraged. In this case, a person who is regular gambler will be ashamed to some extent.

Thats depending if you let other people know that you are gambling or not because most people will not let the others know that they are gambler. Even if your country allow you to gamble but that kind of thing is just not possible. People tend to keep quiet about them being a gambler because it is not something good to boast to the other

No you must never live where you do usually gamble together with your family for the sake of fun , that's a live which rarely happened to people in other side of the world. Yeah it's always depends on where do you live what culture etc. it's has a big role on deciding whether you have to stay quiet or just act normal with your "gambler" status.

At some cultures including mine, gambling is a very bad thing to do. Something that is perceived as the cause of the financial ruin of those who do it. No matter how adept we are in gambling, whether we can control ourselves or not, gambling is still something bad in the eyes of the people.And as a gambler I certainly do not want people to know my habit because of the impact that I can get when people knowing it can be very uncomfortable.

The thing is we cannot force people from avoiding gambling therefore we just have to educate them on the risks of gambling so they will realize early or they will be more careful to avoid doing things that would lead to financial problem. I am a gambler and I started young but until now despite of the many trials I have encountered in gambling, I am still gambling and fully having fun now.

I see some hypocrisy here  .  Anyway, I do believe that a gambler should not be in anyway ashamed of themselves as long as they are not bothering other people.  Gambling is established as  a leisure activity if moderated and often times give a positive effect to those who have self discipline.  Anything that is uncontrolled is devastating even eating which is needed for our daily survival.  So as long as we are in control, does not affect our family, friends, neighbors and other people negatively, there is no reason for us to be ashamed of playing gambling games.

Being a gambler im to shame and so anxiously to lose my money. Not all the countries does have good stand when it comes to gambling and if you are just a traveler or an explorer that pass by to the countries where they have that type of rule, it's better that you'll take the precaution and follow on what's on their rule and not what's on your mind.

you might live in a place where gambling are allowed , legal and a usual thing. but think and look at different view where things like gambling are prohibited , a gambler alienated and nobody care how rich you are as you earn it from gambling.

Actually some people do care if you are rich from gambling. If you can win from gambling that would require massive luck and if you can become rich then people will be amazed by that. Alot of people that are rich from gambling doesnt really let the other know about because some people think it is not appropriate to tell anyone about gambling

people with idealist thought won't get shaked even you tell them that you become that rich because of gambling , they will remain ignore and hate about the way you make money , it is not legit for them , some people consider it as hurting other people in other side.
