There is nothing wrong with gambling for as long as its not illegal in your country or its not forbidden in your religion. And there is no need to be ashamed if you sometimes gamble just make sure that you use your own money and you don't get addicted in gambling.
Indeed, there are different factors which makes gambling a shameful thing (for some people) such as in the community you're living, the culture, religion and beliefs and also the legality of it. But in my opinion, it must be shameful if you became addicted to that it literally affects you psychologically I think that the main factor can be that gambling is not legal in their religion as well as in their country, on other side even thsoe people where gambling is legal in their coutnry but still they are playing gmabling without any limit and they are in fact losing everything so they may also be feeling sameful whiple playing gambling. I think if a perosn is addicted to gambling he should at least play gamboling in a limit so as to minimize the risk of losing his money. |

In many cultures and countries is gambling consider as a bad thing which only the poorest and silliest ones do. Many gamblers try to hide that they gamble from their friends and families and feel really shameful for that. Do you consider gambling as a bad thing? Do you feel shameful or proud for being a gambler? If it is shame what you feel what do you about it? How do you hide you're a gambler and who do you hide it from?

No, I most certainly do not. Especially that I just ovcasionaly play gambling games when there is only something that I want to experience or something that I just really want to do out of boredom. Otherwise I am not an addict on playing gambling games. I just dabble occasionaly and is not a hindrance to how I function everyday and that is important |

If you are playing online who is going to know about that and when it comes to online gambling it is much better as no one will track you down or you wont be having any record in your bank details if you are having troubles with the community you live.As long as you are a level headed individual there is nothing wrong in gambling. |

Only if I'm addicted but I'm not and I only do it very occasionally. And also, gambling here in my country is considered past time of people especially the poor peoplonede that do it everyday and we see it just as normal.

Well, as the world's trend today, mostly people are often liberated as they have their own choice and decision of what is their going to do as long as its not against the law. These generations consider gambling as a sort of some fun and leisure to enjoy and relieve stress and i think there is no wrong of that, unless we do a bad things to fulfill our gambling needs. |

Yes that make sense, if a person play gambling with his own money, and he is playing gambling in a limit and never increase the limit so as to increase which he do not afford to lose, he will not feel the sham, because he is not taking money from other but is investing his own money and if he is even losing money there should be no problem to other, because he is losing his own money. |

Nope I don't feel shameful being a gambler ,
In fact I am proud to be one when my friends and I are talking I often tells them about it.
Well it depends on where and which society you are living. At some places gambling is considered as a Sin or crime and no body is allowed to paly gambling. At those places, if people find to be involved in gambling, it will be a shameful thing. But in most countries Gambling is allowed and therefore there may be no share to be declared as a gambler. and in religious countries gambling is forbidden so theres no way that you and your friends can talk such things,and maybe OP was born in place that gambling is just part of daily living and even their parents are considered as gambler and so as the community..and i gues theres no need to be proud of being gambler since this is not a good means or profiteering |

You make your own decision, you should know the risk and your chances when you start to gamble so you will not regret in the end. Don't mind other people, just do your thing, if you are happy with what you are doing and you have the capability to spend in gambling then do it with freedom. |

There is nothing to be ashame it is my chose to play with my money lose or win money this is my chose to make i just want to have fun so why been ashamed of gambling. It is something that change my day so why to stop
If you live in a country where gambling is allowed, you have no worry about your activity hence you could say you won't be shame because of it. But, for some people who live in a country where gambling is marked as an illegal activity, they will be shame if someone else knowing their activities cause gambling can be considered as crime. |

Gambler is accepted by our society and it just depends on the person on how it affect his life. I just play occassionally so there's nothing to be ashamed. I will not also be ashamed if I do it many times a week as long as I'm not harassing people to have some money to gamble.

Yes that is right, if a person feel shameful being gambler then you should stop playing gambling. But i think people only feel shameful when they are losing money and even when they are losing everything, their family and their friends always objecting them. I think they should play gambling in such a way that they may not feel shameful on their gambling activity. |

Gambling is known to be for entertainment purpose only because it's the house that should be profitable. There is nothing to be shamed if you are doing it responsibly and that means you are having fun knowing how to limit your loses. They will get that feel only if lose some dollars and by that their family suffer from financial problems. If they play for once a month means, they may lose a low and it will not affect their family finances. Gambling is just a paid game,play it very rare to avoid unwanted loss. |

Only we have to feel if we are a gambling addict,because we can't even control our mind so its a shame for us.
There is nothing wrong with the gambling it is just a fun purpose like playing other games but it will rewards us with money if we are lucky.And we need to risk our money of we want the big rewards.
