Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

right on the main page, on the side where it says Knowledgebase
http://support.bitcoin.cz/Knowledgebase/List

fucking over run with newbs and stupid questions. Doesn't anyone read or do any research anymore???

Nope, don't see anything where it is explained where one could have a close to typical number of shares and be rewarded 0. Lots of other good info though. And if all questions were answered before asked one wouldn't need support forums, now would we? n00b.

Back to my original post...my split of hashing with BTC Guild and Slush were equal for 5 weeks. But the last 8 days, BTC Guild payed out 3/5 of what I made here at Slush for the same hash power on both.

Likely your extra fifth was where luck fell but Guild hasn't had the best either in that period. You can try and chase luck but unfortunately luck just comes when luck comes.

Asicminer eruptor blades running on stratum proxy.. this stratum.exe returns meesages about deprecated version, and say I must update !   Hard to find those stratum proxy executables from slush !  Is it a prob from the pool or on my side ?   The Avalon is'nt connecting to the pool eighter !

EDIT : Ok, now avalon hashing but blades running on proxy still wont connect to the pool (the stratum proxy)
any other nice way to run a AM eruptor blade on the slush pool ??

FFS!! http://support.bitcoin.cz/Knowledgebase/Article/View/32/1/score-based-reward-system ! Read this entire thread and then tell me you don't know what's happening. Or better yet, read anything.
And if all questions were researched before asked one wouldn't need support forums. unless they have never been answered (everyone needs support forums)

Why is that CAPTCHA so insanely difficult?

I had to try at least 10 times before getting it right this time.

I'd say about 50% of the time I get it right on the first try.
35% it takes two tries
10% three tries
5% 5 tries.

It seems to be very moody.

Don't we want the hash rate to be less so we get more payout?

It doesn't matter as long as we can find at least few block before the difficulty change.

If the hashrate is lower - you get more, but less often.
If the hashrate is higher - you get less, but more often.

The outcome is the same and your daily reward is always ~= <your hashrate>/<network hashrate>*144*<block reward> (currently 25BTC)

Average CAPTCHA luck trending well below 100%... we should all move to a better pool.

While in theory and overall they may be true. With slush, it seems like we get the same amount of rounds if we are at 800 or 1000 TH/s yet the payouts are reduced by 20%

That's because the total network hash rate is increasing too. If slush percentage (about 3-4%) of the total network hash rate remains the same and you stand still with your hash rate, then you will slowly but surely see your dividends decrease.

It is hellish. I am dyslexic, and have 20/950 vision. My nose has literally hit the screen before when trying to get the damn thing right. I'm not sure why we even need one, these are not the codes that launch nukes or anything. Jeezus.

I'm also not sure why we need one (if we have locked the payout address, that is) and it's a pain.

But have you tried zooming in to get a magnified view?  If your mouse has a scroll wheel, hold the Ctrl key down while rolling the wheel to zoom in or out.  Ctrl + and Ctrl - also zoom, and Ctrl 0 (zero) restores to the default.

In English at least, all letters are capital letters and I've never seen the letter O, but Q is used a lot.
