I agree every pool can have issues, my problem lies where I have asked him why my reward had disappeared once the block was confirmed, for two blocks I received 1/100th of my normal reward with no change in my hashing rate.

If he can not even answer one of the 10 emails/support tickets then I will jump ship, as any payout is better then no payout which I am receiving now.

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Guys, move on and try another pool for a week and assess the payout.
For me I tried slush for a week and is trying the other pool (while continue to monitor slush progression).
I will say I glad I moved.

In spite of the recent issues I'm staying. There 's experience on here that speaks favorably of the pool and has weathered through similar times only to remain and for that I respect their judgment and gain the patience to stay the course.

Ever since Slush withdrew from offering support in this thread I felt it wise to leave the pool.
A private trouble ticket system is no replacement for public, transparent and open community discussion of problems that may affect many people.
Previously I left BTCMine when the operator went AWOL from the pool thread.

Personally I benchmark any pool on the support its operator offers through this forum.
Worth thinking about guys and gals.

Support via this thread is not scalable .. A good trouble ticket system is scalable... I'm not for or against how slush chooses to run HIS pool ... I understand that many people think as this as a community pool and honestly I think it is a community pool but at the end of the day, slush is head chief.. I guess what I'm saying is give the trouble ticket system a chance, the largest most successful organizations are built on the finest ticketing systems... Let's give it a little time ..

I have been trying to wait this out, to try the ticket system, but have never received a reply.  I am going to hold off on the move a few more days, only because I have been mining in this pool since 2011, have seen really rough times, but never been hit with problems like this.

Does anyone think is has to do with the recent flaw with the bitcoin exchanges? Maybe he's fixing that loophole? I half read that a bunch of exchanges had a loophole that did something, im to lazy to look now but if anyone feels like a google search you'll see what I mean. Maybe its just him fixing it and had to shut down part of the site to be safe?

I believe the issues is that Slush won't receive 2.0 until the trezor comes out. I heard that a lot of his energy is diverted to trezor. So hopefully the trezor comes out soon. So Slush 2.0 will be online.

It seems that various aspects of the Slush 2.0 plan have already been implemented (see https://mining.bitcoin.cz/news/pool-entering-new-era).  Like Vardiff (when I joined the pool, you would enter the miner hash rate/difficulty manually per miner), the ticket support system and other issues.  It is likely that some of the hiccups that we are experiencing now are 'teething problems' of the upgraded pool.  Trezor used to show up on the pool home page, but has disappeared a while ago, so not sure that Slush is still diverted in that direction.

Cheers

I've observed a similar dip, but it came back now.  Not certain that this affects the actual reward though.

The block was found when that happenned and my rewards on the stats page is only .0011 should be ~.0068  So i got 1/6th of what I should have.

My reward is also about 20% of the expected.  Give it a few minutes, I've seen it being re-calculated.  The bigger problem now is that the confirmed rewards are not applied on the Account page (so no payout).  Yesterday it got fixed after being ~2.5 times my payout threshold...Sad

My rewards also way down for  286654.
I am also yet to see any rewards from another confirmed block.

If Slush manages to fix whatever problem this is, do you think the rewards will be updated??

There were reward updates in the past, but usually it happened quite soon after the initial estimate.  This time it is taking too long, you may want to raise a ticket on this.  The issue with confirmed blocks is annoying as well  Sad

Same here, so it will be recalculated later probably.

Not 'If', but 'When'. Yes, I have no doubt it will be fixed and the rewards updated. Slush always fixes the problems, but he is not a magician, so give him some time.

I did not see such a 'glitch' now, but earlier just before finding block 286654 had a similar experience here.  Looks like it affected quite a few people causing a drop in reported reward for that block in the stats page.
