I know its a coincidence but really it seams like every time we go over 7ph the blocks slow to a crawl. All the pool hoppers need to quit they are funking up the mojo.
JT
I stay here or leave a miner on this pool all the time or try to .but when its gets to slow I'm not gonna keep all my hash power here.

I hate these 12+ hour blocks, but I suppose we have to take the rough with the smooth and over the past few days, it's been smooth all the way.

What i have noticed over the last couple months is when we hit it big the hash rate goes up and the block rate go down. Gets slow for a day or so then the hash rate drops and the block rate increases. I have tried hopping a couple times but what i find is i stay here i get better payouts in the long run. JT

Boy I really threw a monkey wrench into this party heh ?
Every time I change pools I have that effect, I'm like a "cooler" at the casinos. The guy they have on hand to screw things up when a customer starts winning too much. I'm running on such a slim margin now that I'm chasing the last BTC... But sadly it is not coming... soon the power to BTC ratio will win and we all loose. Such is life, easy come easy go ! Bob

I'll never quit mining. There's always profit in it. However this is pathetic. So far I don't even think we have had single block all day. . Its either going over 7ph/s or w.e and we go mad slow. Or somebody is bringing us terrible luck. Or you really dumb pool hoppers. Hopping won't help you make money faster or more efficient mining. This is lame though oh well it'll pick back up again, it always does. But i doubt its not going to get any better before the diff rise in about 1/2 day to 1 day.

I, not being extremely versed in many aspects, assume that means we have had 3 so far today? I can google it I suppose, but what is the benefit if you specifically find a block. I have 1 found somewhere when I first joined. Just wondering if there is a bonus or just a stat for you to follow? Also what does it mean TX Fees + VarDiff? I am guessing VarDiff, is variable Difficulty based on your hash rate? Just a shot in the very dark ...Dont flame me please just trying to learn as I go. Thanks in advance for the serious replies.

Its good to ask what tx fees is or means i know but I'm still learning the terms , there is a lot i can't explain in more simple terms i some times mess lead because i don't understand it well enough to explain it so it makes sense . http://support.bitcoin.cz/Knowledgebase/Article/View/2/1/how-does-vardiff-work

TX fees are = to transaction fees extra btc attached to block paid to the pool by the network .... var-diff is as stated the variable difficulty based on hash rate so a fast miner isnt asking for work to often and a slower miner doesn't have huge amounts of time between shares..... you having three payouts is relative based on what your payout threshold is and hash-rate etc you received payouts today as yesterdays blocks reached 100 confirmations that 14 hr block was all we had solved up until about 30 min ago for the day so it will reflect in tomorrows payouts etc.

@wasikidding, everything you said I appreciate. I may have mis-worded something though.
Slush has not paid me out 3 times, but there have been 3 completed sessions for the 24th, the most recent completion actually happened on the 25th based on Slush time zone. The first took 4h 24min, second took 1h 6min, third took 4h 19min all time stamped for the 24th. I have not been paid out so to speak because my payout is higher then they total. But the balance for each session is sitting in my balance on Slush. So what I was under the impression is that each completed session was a block that was completed or solved. I initially commented on it because the original poster to my post said "So far I don't even think we have had single block all day", but don't the completed sessions = 3 blocks solved or finalized? I appreciate your patience with me. Thanks

Yes in that regard unlike other pools we mine in a session until a block is solved, slush's number stays the same as network block number we are solving climbs so yes sorry i thought you meant you received three payouts so that is why i explained that way unlike ghash which I believe has like a set time per session etc we run until a block is solved and then score is calculated based on total shares and last share etc to calculate our btc value for that solved block

Slush's pool does not appear to have it setup to notify you if a "worker" has gone idol like some other pools do. I'm NOT going to another pool. I tried BTC Guild for about 12 hours but I don't like it. I DO like the fact they notify you if a worker goes idol. DOES ANYONE KNOW IF I CAN MAKE MY BITMAIN ANTMINER S3's NOTIFY ME IF IT STOPS HASHING WHILE I'M AWAY FROM HOME; WITHOUT HAVING TO LOG IN TO SLUSH'S POOL ON OCCASIONS TO SEE IF THEY ARE HASHING OUT? I'm calling my ISP tomorrow to get a STATIC IP to have access to my home network, which in turn will give me access to my miners [To reboot or whatever might be needed]. I just thought it would be nice to be notified if they go idol / down [how ever you want to say it].

Sure... Just thought it would be nice to know within 5 minutes of them going down without having to check so often while I'm out of town working. Thanks for the reply...

Just curious... if you're out of town working, what difference does it make? You can't do anything about it and you will only be fretting. It's not as as if you are there when the alarm beeps and you can spring into action.
