A lot of people don't trust or respect the Anon branding.  My personal view is indifferent but I do admire some of their work.  Although there is a lot of uneducated and ignorant people waving that mask around even if it is with the best intentions.  Using official Anon branding may backfire, but it could also pay off if you get a lot of their hardcore supporters onboard with this project.  I've mentioned Anoncoin to a few of my hardcore crypto friends for a good while now and some of them are really put off by the fact that Anoncoin uses the official Anon branding.

I think that they are put off by the fact that Anonymous leaked the wrong name of the police officer in Ferguson. That is a pretty serious screw up.

What is happening about the hashing algorithm?  Dogecoin which has a much higher hashrate than Anoncoin is moving to AuxPoW with Litecoin to help strengthen their network and avoid an attack on their network.  If the community doesn't want to merge-mine with Litecoin have you thought about switching to a new hashing algorithm?  Like either the new one Vertcoin or Feathercoin is choosing.  There's a lot of Scrypt ASIC's out there now and one biggish miner could easily pull off a 51% attack on Anoncoin for LoLz.  I'd personally prefer the coin to AuxPoW with Feathercoin so that I could fire my 280X OC up

For GPU mining imho a good thing is multi-POW like myriadcoin.

To attack such a chain 51% shall be had on 3/5 algo at same time. Scrypt can be kept, then 3 GPU algo then scrypt-N or a new one from FTC or VTC why not.

It is just my opinion, I dont know if we shall change something...

Yeah I agree Myriadcoin multi-PoW may be a good idea.  The coin can't stay on Scrypt any longer unless it goes to AuxPoW with Litecoin like Dogecoin is currently doing.  While Dogecoin currently has a much bigger hashrate than Aononcoin and they're doing something about it.  To just leave things as they are is only opening up the doors for attacks on the network and the resulting disaster.  My favorite option would be AuxPoW with Feathercoin on its new GPU algo or possibly the Myriadcoin multi-PoW idea.

And here u get them. I was in talk with orignal now, which is maindev on "Purple I2P" as it now is named. Since I've helped him a lot with the C++ router, and uses much time on ZC because of all the math (waste when he got degree in math. if he help me now, I can help him more afterwards, removing a lot of time I'm using to study the new math). He would probably help me now, which in the end will speed both developments up, since I help him a lot now, but could have done more if it wasn't for ZC. Since he knows math and I know the Anoncoin source, it could go quickly. We have discussed a lot development and delegation of tasks lately, and it was here this was now mentioned. But we will talk more on Monday. If this is the result, it will be win-win for all parts 


Also, Awesome as hell!! I connected with i2pd, now Purple I2P on IRC 23:15, and it's now 01:48 and still not disconnected, nor has i2pd crashed!! It was also there the discussion took place

I will get back when I can confirm more with post on sigterm

A person has to laugh. Do you understand that Anonymous is not a group? And also that most people who hold anoncoin do so for its use of the Anonymous symbol, not for anything to do with zerocoin? You are destroying any value anoncoin has.

Each person who uses the Anonymous symbol does so on their own. They don't speak for anyone else. The name released on that twitter by the same one(s) who released audio was bryan willman. The actual officer involved was darren wilson.

Apparently a fake facebook page was set up by the police dept to draw away people looking for that officer. A photograph of the officer who shot the person was available hours after the shooting, and was seen by those who leaked that name.

Do you know if Gnosis is still working on ZC or did he quit?

Gnosis is still doing the RSA-UFO stuff.   He just doesn't got time to write code. However, it seems like it's decided that I and Orignal (I2Pd main dev.) will finish the Zerocoin implementation now, with Gnosis's RSA-UFO implementation. Orignal got a higher math degree himself and Zerocoin seemed like an easy task for him with help from me who already know how Anoncoin works, or coins in general for that matter. - But I get back to you guys on Monday (when he was going to read whitepaper) or later with more about what's going to happen.

Much of this is because it would benefit both projects since I can do and has done a lot on i2pd as well. I'm writing first server node as proof of concept now. Next is profiling, after profiling it's stable enough to be the underlying transport layer of Anoncoin. Implementation methods already discussed!

I spoke to the developer by email, and he would like to add support for anoncoin, but for a fee of 1000 usd. I'm not too happy about paying to play. At the same time, though, the project appears to be underfunded, so perhaps this fee would go to a good cause.

I really think that it would be great to associate Anoncoin to these darkmarkets from the start. This might be a good opportunity. He claimed that anoncoin integration would take a month, perhaps less.
