I'm willing to commit 10,000USD towards building a darknet ANC marketplace/exchange once AnonCoin Implements ZeroCoin

What is the advantage of associating anoncoin with darkmarkets? All of the resulting mainstream publicity would be bad and most people would use bitcoin anyway. Is there some benefit though?

In Brazil for example, a marketplace like ebay (named mercadolivre there) take a fee of 10%.

That is robbery.

I think we should be looking in this direction. There are several distributed marketplaces under development. OpenBazzars looks intresting. its beta release is at hte end of the month. https://github.com/OpenBazaar/OpenBazaar

also something based on OT might be the best option. http://opentransactions.org . they say they are going to implement voting pools which would essentially eliminate risk of theft. http://opentransactions.org/wiki/index.php?title=Category:Voting_Pools
I think that there are two directions that we could take (or both).

First, we could try to get ANC incorporated into the biggest open market platforms, such as OT, OB, and BXB. In the end, we would likely end up being just one of many altcoins being accepted, which is better than nothing.

Second (as suggested by K1773R on IRC), we could just fork one of these to be an ANC only platform (most likely OT). If we did this, to distinguish it from the "better known" markets, I think that we would have to go for 0% transaction fees. BitXBay (and probably the others, I haven't looked) have built in transaction fees that go to the developers, which kind of bothers me.

I didnt say it should be ANC only. I was talking about forking, mkaing it working for ANC and send a pull request to upstream. This way we dont have to spend somuch money. Just the usual approach if you want something to be merged into an open source software.
ANC only could also exist of course

Anoncoin has its own four page section in my book called Cryptocurrency "The Alt-ernative" Reference Book.  Here is the thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=483187.0

I will document all major historical events for ANC as well as the current coin specifications.  I have been working on the book for a few months.  If you would like to help fund this future publication, here is my ANC wallet address:

ANVLEZMHZYZRtS9mT4WNxunwLN7xi89imD

How many confirmations are there per transaction?

Here is the preview section for ANC:

I'll send u some Smiley Should be on it's way! Feel free to use my real name with my nick as middle name which I started with after breaking the anonymity.
Might be worth reading this, http://geti2p.net/en/blog/post/2014/08/15/The-privacy-solutions-project and with recent news it seems that Orignal is joining in on the Zerocoin implementation.

When do you plan to release the book? Hoping with Orignal we would be finished with ZC before you press it. Also please provide a link when I can buy it Smiley

I plan on releasing the book before this Christmas. I will be applying the finishing touches to all coin sections in OCT/NOV time Smiley

The association really doesnt matter either way. Originally all bitcoin was good for was buying illicit goods.

The reality is that clearnet is deeply flawed when viewed from a privacy perspective. I believe in a community free from the invasive spying of big brother and i think anoncoin is an excellent medium of exchange for such a community. A darknet marketplace and exchange would allow the community to be self sufficient and not rely on clearnet services. The benefit is independence and thats all we're really asking for anyways.  A self-sufficient, anonymous, unregulated free-market.

So refreshing to see real development. Great work on all your projects!

It might soon be time for the community to push on to get on more exchanges (with volume). Do anyone think that we might be able to lower the required "bribes" if we present the innovations to the exchanges? Short term it could bring them some volume, but focus should be on the real world adoption anoncoin actually might achive in the coming months/years.

I'm not sure whether it's good to adopt more exchanges. Sure more people might be aware of it, but in the end the Volume will split and divide to each Exchange, which is not a good thing at all.

I believe one of the reasons Bitcoin got so successful was the Price and the rise in price, this was easier to accomplish because back then there were fewer exchanges for Bitcoin - that's my thinking...

I'm not only thinking profit here, but we can't deny that price and the rise of it is one of the most powerful reasons for people to go on the Anoncoin website, to look on the Forum, to contribute.

Anyone else with the following problems with ANC?  My multipool operator sent earned ANC to me on August 18 at 2:01AM CDT, was not received and posted to my wallet until August 21 at 13:58 CDT.  The multipool operator states:  "The transaction hasn't been included in a block yet.  It should make it into a block eventually and be confirmed.  I have no control over this.  It's been an ongoing issue with the ANC network for a few weeks now."  That would seem to be a very strong negative against this coin.

It seems that Cryptsy still have problem for withdrawing ANC. To withdrawal 3000 ANC I had to do 10 successive withdrawals.

Only 1921 ANC have arrived now, four of the ten transactions sent were not included in a block yet (but I see them as unconfirmed in my ANC-qt).

It seems the transactions are alot of small inputs and this increase the fee tremendously!

Here is an example of one of such transaction:
http://ancblockchain.com/tx/7ede9c1d53fb78ba4e16140a1389eee22ea7afd2df2ed9d7fc93c8b663ae90d6

I requested  547.27272638 ANC but got only 136.7956816 ANC from 375 inputs with a fee of 0.59 ANC (cryptsy paid the fee, I paid 0.03 ANC fee)

In total I paid 0.3 ANC in fee (ten times 0.03 ANC) to withdraw the 3000 ANC, the process of withdrawing took hours because I had to do it ten times and right now 4 transactions are still not confirmed.

Please Cryptsy can you do something to not have such a big number of < 1 anc inputs?? This become impossible to trade at you exchange if you do nothing about those hundreds of small inputs.

Hello everyone,

Im currently investigating an issue with our ANC wallet where the blockchain isnt picking up the majority of our send transactions. We apologize it took us so long to spot the issue. But we are working hard on correcting it and getting the unconfirmed transactions pushed to the blockchain

Some of them get confirmed after a simple restart of the daemon but others do not/ Ill keep everyone informed when I find the solution

Thank you for your patience Smiley

UPDATE:

I think it comes down to transaction sizes. Our daemon is sending transactions that are too large to be accpeted into the chain. Im basing this on the fact that all unconfirmed send transactions have unusually high fees paid. Our default Txfee is .01 ANC and the mean over the last 1000 transactions is 0.10169169169169 which is why our withdrawal fee is set to .1 ANC

Code:
anoncoind listtransactions "" 1000 | grep -A 1 -B 4 '"confirmations" : 0,' | grep fee

Our daemon is up to date so ill be going over the source to see if I can find anything that would cause this

Yes I have the same problem with huge transaction from several small inputs from Cryptsy, the transactions refuse to be included in blocks.

Meeh, K1773R, can this be solved ? Cryptsy, what is this dust?

Thanks

Cryptsy suspend the account, someone(s) must be mining directly to the exchange & more than likely lurks here - STOP before your suspended.

@meeh & team - great job with all the updates and progress!

Yes, I am on the anonmining.com pool and it took a couple of days for an autotransfer to actually post to my wallet.

It was only 5 ANCs.

What gives?
