If I understand correctly a new blockchain for Dero has just been released? Could someone please sum up details and implications?

The new blockchain changes from the old traditional PoW blockchain, to a new custom DAG-PoW blockchain.

This has enabled extremely fast block times, currently averaging around 10 seconds, with much increased tps capabilities, i think it was somewhere around 500 something, and is scalable based on resources.

It has implemented bulletproofs to reduce transaction sizes.

Increased resistance to attacks, supposedly truly eliminated double spending, shadow addresses, and eliminated orphan blocks.

I mean, it's one of the biggest upgrades in all of crypto right now and nobody knows about it lol, and others well they're too busy getting worked up over the ASIC resistance debate.

Thanks for the summary and all.

When moon ? When lambo ? 😂 😂 😂
It's a joke of course, know that the team has our support after the decisions it made. Just in the future, we will have to make efforts on communication.
Thanks for works Smiley

When will the source code be released? All I ever hear is "in a few days". But the devs said the same thing after atlantis and it turned out to take nearly a month before it was pushed to mainnet. Can we actually expect it to be "in a few days" or not?

Jesus, why does it matter so much if its out in three days or two weeks? Do you have a rare disease where you will die if you can't see it in time?

This may be true, that good code helps against certain diseases.

I'm curious why block times were moved from 9 seconds to 12 seconds from testnet to mainnet and why are TPS 75 when (if i'm not mistaken) testnet was upwards of 350 tps to as high as 1,000 tps and Atlantis was claiming around 500 TPS prior to testnet / mainnet? What is the plan going forward to scale that? Are you guys planning to do a write up explaining what you hoped for, what you're currently at, and what you plan to do to improve the network scalability in the future or the avenues you're considering for scalability in the future?

No problem, looking forward to seeing the continued development of Dero, it is really one of the more interesting projects out there.  So many copy/paste and poor coders, this is obviously something different, from talented developers.

Dero has very talented and experienced developers indeed.
Has anyone reviewed the Atlantis source code yet? Please post your findings.

Re: TPS. It was a bug on the testnet stats page showing transactions per block, not transactions per second. The block time was increased to allow for smooth block propagation. On a fast network should be able to get higher speed in the future. It is currently the fastest trustless network at the base layer.

Yes PoW is still cryptonight. Make sure you update your wallet/daemon to latest release and resync to see your incoming payments. If you still don't see your payments afterwards, contact your pool operator please, or contact me on Discord/Slack if you are on official pool

Is it possible? I thought that mining directly to exchanges wallets could cause coin loss...

We don't recommend mining directly to an exchange, and instead we encourage people to mine to their wallets, and send it to the exchanges from there.

The DERO project is really interesting and intriguing in that it will be able to create a unique modern blockchain technology with increased reliability, confidentiality, security, ease of use and portability

When will the source code be released? All I ever hear is "in a few days". But the devs said the same thing after atlantis and it turned out to take nearly a month before it was pushed to mainnet. Can we actually expect it to be "in a few days" or not?

By the way, this is one of the reasons that the token is not yet bought on the observation sheet. When the deadlines are broken, then this is a very bad sign of a normal project, it always does everything within its terms.
For me it is fundamentally.

They need to build a public structure first before releasing a Open Source code without NDA. Going Open Source doesn't mean free to reproduce/fork or free to use without authorization.
