Ok perfect, thank you all for the assistance.
Finding a lot of delta's or whatever it is. i'll let it run for a few days and see where it brings me.
Thanks again!
Are you finding only deltas or are you also finding some addresses? Only Delta's I just ran vanitygen64.exe and it took me exactly 20sec to find an address, (with the -i flag), so case insensitive. I didn't set that when i started oclvanitygen. I'm doing a testrun with the -i flag on the ocl version. at this moment it's already running longer than when i'm running the non ocl version and finding nothing. Regular version was 1.7Mkey/s and ocl = 50Mkey/s, makes no sense...

Oclvanitygen is using your GPU with the incorrect drivers - it should be a lot faster than the CPU but if you're only getting deltas, you're wasting energy.

Yeah but the Case sensitive factor is not that big of deal. already got a result, 7 characters, took 10 sec or so. But again, case-insensitive though. Thank you guys for the info and help!

Try downloading http://lifeboat.com/opencl.dll and put it in the same directory as oclvanitygen. (This opencl.dll is for 64-bit versions of Windows.) It's much nicer to run the ocl version on a GPU - you get faster and/or more complex results.

I do but so far I have only really used it to look for address collisions so I'm not sure that this method applies to nVidia cards.

This is a nice tool to use for generating unique addresses. Personally, I've already generated 1 CancERjdPNPnrUkipk47DG1yR9day1Tur in just under an hour, though I only generated it at ~97%Edit:~97.5% chance left, which was quite unlucky. Link of screenshot. Is there any one who generated a vanity address later than me (In terms of chance of generation)?

I'd like to see this done in such a way that one could have their address generated elsewhere, peerhpas even paying for it as a service, without the third party gaining access to the private key. There was some discussion about it, and it's certainly possible, but it seems to require code changes which are beyond my level of C...

Its possible right now. You can provide me a public key. I feed that into vanitygen with the -P flag; send you the partial(!) private key when Im done. You combine both private keys and have a private key that I have no knowledge off.

Vantigygen is a very interesting tool, not sure if we could compile data to compare how long it took to find certain strings etc.
