Guys, I don't have any money in BF, I'm just an observer. But I think this needs to be your last straw- I would quit letting Danny make excuses and demand the full explanation.

He clearly can't keep promises, so I wouldn't trust him. Ukyo is either a scammer or a liar who can't keep BTC entrusted to him safe. Either way, he has lost all respect from me and I don't see why anyone should still be sticking up for him.

Start filing your lawsuits against Ukyo or whatever your contingency plan is.

I demanded a full explanation from the start.

Ukyo definitely lied.  First he lied saying that the issue was a technical problem with the wallet, and then he lied again telling us on IRC that the funds were all safe.

I agree that a lawsuit is the best way forward.  The discovery process should bring out some answers at least.

Unfortunately, I'm beginning to think you are right. Sad

Now, is it better to get a lawyer in Texas, since that is where ukyo lives? What kind of lawyer should we be looking for exactly anyways.

The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

Worth noticing is that prior to BitFunder closing down these USA Laws caused BTC Trading Corp - btct.co to wind down as well.
But somehow Burnside (the exchange operator) managed to sent out every last satoshi to its users without any hiccups.
He even went for extra efforts patching bitcoind daemon just to be able to sent out the whole remaining dust.

No law was prohibiting him from returning users' property.

What US-LAWS? I mean if its the SEC then someone believes they would take half the bitcoins and let half of it in the wallet? Or is it really the hacker story that has to be hunted down now? If its a hacker... you know the hacker already knows you search him. No use in silence.
This better makes sense once explained.

Please ALWAYS contact me through bitcointalk pm before sending someone coins.

This whole thing just does not make sense. This is the point when they even stopped posting made up explanations. I strongly urge everybody to post negative trust ratings for everyone involved. That is, Ukyo, Graet and Cryptocyprus. Those people who do not know about the Bitfunder scam should also be warned.

Danny seems to imply he personally has a large number of coins tied up in this matter, and that's why he's involved.

Which would put things in a somewhat different light.

There are still approximately 386btc available in the wallets. These coins will be paid proportionally to all owed users, based on current user balances, by Monday night.

All old withdrawal requests will be removed and each user will need to initiate new withdrawals when this new balance is ready.

Full instructions on how to access the site to process these withdrawals will be provided by 5pm (GMT+2) on Monday 16th December, when you should be able to withdraw the portion of available funds allotted to your account.

So where the coins at?

8 months is that all, I too have seen way too many scams and didn't want this becoming another. I do have an extremely personal vested interest in getting this resolved. One that will make many people struggle for words when they realise just how petty they have been and I have taken the stance that every single person will get their coins back before I receive anything.

If I talk about what has happened it will break US law. I am easily held accountable whilst I live in Europe.

It is now down to Ukyo to post the link. 2/3 hours and you want to string me up for it.

So, is the reason you talking about it will break US law possibly that Ukyo committed fraud, promised to give you your coins back if you covered for them, and commenting further would peg you as aiding said fraud?

where is that link?
I will remove my negative rating for now when I actually get a portion of my funds (at least 5% seems reasonable)

As was saying in the one of the other threads on this, the 'legal reasons' Ukyo does not want to tell us what happened are much likely along the lines of 'I can't tell people that I gambled with all of their deposits, and then continued to take more deposits to pay off interest on loans,  because that'll make me more culpable in a court of law'  then instead of some reason like 'FINCEN took my coins and told me not to tell anyone so I can't share it for legal reasons' .

The 'legal reasons' Ukyo can't tell us what happened are self-serving, the legal reasons are for him, not us.

Oh and hey thanks a LOT for fucking up my Christmas Ukyo. You are not going to be able to walk away from this, with 2 million owing to random internet people. You really fucked up man.

.SUGAR.

Anyone who has Ukyo's address PM me along with where you found the information. I'm in Texas and will pay him a not-so-friendly but legal visit.

There's no way any of them are serious or they would've found the info themselves.

P.S. Caught this from IRC a few minutes ago.

Either you own the bitcoins(private keys) or you don't. However with moneroj, nobody knows what you own.
