Any plans to do an ASIC profit switching pool like you do with ScryptGuild?

OMG!!! Brilliant idea!!!

i'm not sure this idea is worth such an orgasm. i've looked at a profit switching pool and found that it will simply switch my rig to the cheapest alt coin of the moment (i think, the coin at which I can mine the MOST volume). I'm not so sure I want to switch to coins which are worth 0.00000001btc at any given time.
If this is to happen, how would we ascertain which coin is 'most profitable'?

No plans on adding any kind of SHA256 switching to BTC Guild.  Within a week there would be no SHA256 coin worth mining but Bitcoin.  The only reason SHA256 profit switching/multipools are able to work right now is they're too small to have any noticeable impact on the altcoin market.  If you've been paying attention to Scrypt coins, you'll notice that the profitability of switching pools has been decreasing as the multipools are becoming a larger and larger share of the overall scrypt hash rate.

His scrypt pool automatically transfers to BTC. It works really really well for scrypt, perhaps it could do well for BTC as well however it may be a conflict of interest since he already owns one of the best BTC pools out there Smiley

sure, i understand the switch can work quite well with scrypt, but I would like so see someone with more intelligence than I (not a difficult task) compile a SHA256 profit switching pool that works well.

multipool has a SHA256 switcher as well as an scrypt one: https://www.multipool.us/index.php

Are you sure this *just* happened?  difficulty did just increase, yesterday iirc.

I mine at Kano's Pool because it pays the best and is completely transparent!  Come join me!

Yeah I dropped from 0.03(something)BTC a couple of days ago … I just did the math on a couple of profitability calculators, and something is wayy off Sad

The PPS rate quoted on BTCGuild.com is correct. You can calculate it for yourself:

PPS rate = blockreward / mining difficulty * (1 - pool fee)
            = 25/4250217919.8695 * 0.925
            = 5.440897e-09

PPS rate quoted on BTCGuild: 0.0000000054408975

There is no "fix".  It's pure random chance.

Chance is kicking out butts this last week+.
Not as bad as other pools are getting killed though.

The luck really is shit right now, switched all my miners to PPS. It sucks doubling your farm only to see the same payment. I think I'm pretty close to being done with mining, not worth the effort or stress.
