Bangladesh bowlers have done well. But Bangladesh will win the Test match, even against the strong New Zealand, I did not even dream of it. Bangladesh can fight hard. The match will probably be competitive if Bangladesh batsmen can play well. However, I do not believe in the batsmen of Bangladesh. No wonder they lost all their wickets before 100 runs. We have seen a lot of poor batting from the Bangladesh team.

Bangladesh bowlers good bowling was destroyed by Devon Conway century. The good thing for Bangladesh is Devon Conway is no more on crease, so there is a chance New Zealand can be bowled out at 350. Seeing the recent performance of Bangladesh I don't think they can win the game but they must try to chase runs and remain in the match. This will give there players confidence for future games.

Bangladesh is in trouble now in my opinion as Newzealand has been able to score 317 runs and they still have wickets in hand. I am not sure whether Bangladesh batsmen will be able to chase this target. If NZ is bowled out for 350 then to it will be a struggle for Bangladesh batter to chase that target.

Both Shadman Islam and Mahmudul Hasan Joy have given a good start for Bangladesh against hostile conditions. They are at 41/0. Bangladesh is still trailing by some 287 runs, and I don't expect them to take a lead in this match. But if the middle order also provides some support, then it is possible that Bangladesh may end up with a decent total. Then everything will depend upon the spinners in second innings. If they can repeat what they did in the first innings, then there is a real chance of an upset at Mount Maunganui.

Yes Quinton de Kock retired only from the longer format, the fact is that South Africa did not play much Test Cricket in the past 3 years and yet he thinks that the work load is too much and he is not yet 30 years and over all the Test team is not in a good position either as the pressure to perform is upon him as well since they do not have solid players in the longer format.

He took this decision primarily because of his family. His reasoning behind this decision makes complete sense and I would have done the same if I were in his position.

It's tough to maintain a proper work-life balance while playing in all formats of Cricket these days which is why more and more players are retiring quickly from tests and ODIs and this trend will most likely not change in the future.

That's true, players too have the work life balance. At times they weren't able to manage. Quinton De Cock retired just because he has got a big responsibility playing all formats of cricket. There are players who are much concentrating on IPL and similar leagues which pays them good. For an year they play on few such leagues and enjoy rest of the days. This looks good for them, but this could ruin the cricketing slowly.

Bangladesh as a team has a tendency to show some glimpse of becoming good team but unfortunately nowadays its once in a blue moon kind of event. I really hope that they compete with the same intensity in next 3 remaining days and produce some cracking match for the spectators.

Bangladesh collected 175, losing only 2 wickets. Mahmudul Hasan Joy is unbeaten on 70 runs. Young players of Bangladesh. The batting of this 21-year-old player is good enough. He scored 70 runs off 211 balls. His batting is also awesome against destructive bowlers like Southee and Boult. After a long time, we see any opening batsman of Bangladesh playing well.

A good day of test cricket for Bangladesh, above all else they dismissed New Zealand for 328 runs then strong execution with batting. They manage to get 175/2 runs at the end of day 2 and trail by 153 additional runs. Fantastic batting by Bangladesh after quite a while. Solid effort by youngsters so unpleasant surprise. I'm convince that they will lead against New Zealand which will be exceptionally intriguing to watch.

There were only three contributions from NZ side Devon Conway, Will Young and Henry Nicholls. Apart from these three there is no noticeable performance from any NZ player. Good thing is Bangladesh are in game and they needed such opportunity badly. Bangladesh must take advantage of this momentum and try to win the game.

It was excellent response but i wouldn't say front seat. Match is pretty even atm, 1 day won by Kiwis and 2nd day belongs to Bongs.

Despite their brave effort, i think Kiwis are fav cause Bongs will bat last and chase could be difficult. Happy if proven wrong.

After losing very badly at home against Pakistan now Bangladesh done very good and having few new youngsters in their team specially @Mahmudul Hasan Joy who is playing his second test done very good job in difficult New Zealand conditions this could be very good for better future of this youngster. But still we have one point that Bangladesh is going to bat in fourth inning which is never been easy here, so currently they need some very good innings from few players like Mominul Haque, Mushfiqur Rahim and Liton Das because this could be very important if they want alive in this test match after having very good comeback in second day play.

Yeah.. same here. Never expected Bangladesh to be so competitive, and that too under hostile conditions. Right now, New Zealand do have the best pace attack for any test team in the world. But only Neil Wagner was able to trouble the Bangladeshi batsmen. Biggest disappointment was Kyle Jamieson, who has remained wicketless till now. And the most important thing is that the Bangladeshi batsmen are performing so well, without the presence of some of their star players such as Shakib al Hasan, Mahmudullah and Tamim Iqbal.

Bangladesh is playing so nice. Litton das and mominul the settled batsman out at the last time of third season . Both have missed century opportunity. I think the match will be draw if not happen miracle.

It was a good day for Bangladesh as they ended the third day 73 runs ahead of the opposition. The Tigers are playing some excellent Test cricket. Bangladesh took the lead in Mount Maunganui after Mominul Haque and Liton Das hit a couple of fine eighties. This team lost terrible to Pakistan in their home soil recently. It is really incredible and unbelievable how well Bangladesh batted and bowled on New Zealand soil. The best you can do is draw rather than win in these conditions.

Virat is struggling with upper back spasm and misses out the match, no 100th test celebration for him in this series, may be in India? And surprisingly KL is leading the team. It looks like Rahane counting his days, he might not get any chances when playing in India, may be few games when playing in SENA countries as he's one of the good batter of pace despite his poor run.

Props to Bangladesh, so far they dominated 3 out of 2 days. They have 4 wickets in the bank and if by any chance they manage to add 50-70 more runs then their chances are looking really good.

Excellent batting from Bangladesh team, have done this batting  after a long delay but this proves that they have the potential to perform well. Good thing is all of there batsmen contributed, all batsmen are in double figure which is positive thing.

India not in a good position in there first innings, there no 5th batsman is on the crease at just 58 runs. SA must try to bowl out India as early as possible. Kohli is injured? I think he must take some break. Sometimes taking a break is better then keep playing in bad form.

I am not enjoying the match between Bangladesh and New Zealand. Because I thought New Zealand would easily win the match. Since we have seen the performance of the Bangladesh team in the last few Test matches. Bangladesh lost and the performance was very bad.

But today, I was a little surprised to check the scoreboard. New Zealand did 328 and Bangladesh did 401/6. As far as I am concerned, this is the first lead of the Bangladesh team against any country outside Bangladesh. Bangladesh is ahead by 73 runs.

Really?? Thanks for sharing this stats. This is much needed performance from down and out Bangladesh. Mominul Haque (c) and Litton Das played a vital role in getting such lead. Bangladesh must try to get lead of 150 and then try to bowl out NZ.
