   Now Australia is batting. New Zealand won the toss and took the filling.  Australia have lost 6 wickets so far.  108 runs in 34 overs I think they have to play with wickets now. Otherwise they have to be under pressure. If Australia plays very well in this match they can score 120 runs. I think Australia will be all out in this match.

You really cannot compare the 90s Australian squad or the 70s and 80s West Indies squad as the team does not depend upon one or two players but the entire team was competitive and would battle till the end. You cannot expect every era to have an elite team.

Coming into the match between Australia and New Zealand, Australia is once again struggling with the bat. Lost 7 wickets and Steven Smith is the only player battling. If they can score above 160, i would be surprised.

New Zealand condition is very poor in the 2nd ODI match. They managed to score 45 runs by losing 6 wickets. Where their target level is 195. It is not possible to bring the match back in favor of New Zealand as like Australia turned around in the last match. Maybe after a few more overs, they will end this match by losing the all the wickets.

Australia won the third match, and won the series as well. But once again, their top order collapsed. And it was poor bowling from New Zealand as well. From a total of 117/8, Australia managed to recover to 195/9, as a result of contributions from their lower order batsmen such as Mitchell Starc, Adam Zampa and Josh Hazlewood. The last two wicket partnerships added 78 runs and proved to be very crucial in a low scoring match. Not very impressed with captaincy tactics from Kane Williamson. He should have used Boult and Henry to wrap up the tail.

Cameron Green should be given enough raises because he did really well in this match. In my opinion, Australia was on the verge of losing this match. But Green was there till the end. And that certainly helped Australia a lot. Alex Carey also played well. He and Cameron Green did the bulk of the runs. This match wouldn’t have been this much competitive at all if the top order of Australia did something good. They obviously did not do good enough work.

As you said, they have failed consistently to perform well. There are a lot of ICC tournaments coming up. The Australian selection board is going to have a headache about the opening prayer and also the top order of Australia.

Cricket is very funny game, and you can't call team loser until last ball bowled as we have in today match which was played between Afghanistan vs Pakistan no one was having any faith in Nasim Shah, but he has done for his team and hit two amazing sixes like this can happen in any match as we have in first ODI between Australia vs New Zealand 44/5 in chase of 233 mean they have no chance but then Alex Care and Cameron Green both done 150+ partnership and win for their team amazing game and skills from these guys.

Australians are rich in cricketing talent, so they can do much better in coming days because they have one of the best system in cricket world which is giving them great cricketers, but now it's time for them to have few changes and bring few youngsters which give them better results in short formats and give veteran players in test squad because this change can give them better results for the future in all formats.

The Afghanistan – Pakistan match was really unbelievable. There was a genuine chance that Afghanistan would win that match, according to me. In addition, who could have predicted that the number 11 batsman would hit two sixes in the first two balls of the last over? To be honest, I believe that he also got a couple of favorable deliveries because, if I remember correctly, both of them were full tosses. In spite of that, those still had to be put away as well.

Regarding Australia, I think they have a lot of really good players in the pipeline, and I agree with you on that. However, I have no clue as to why they are not bringing them forward for consideration. There is a possibility that they are trying something new to experience in the upcoming ICC tournaments. Really disappointing performance from NZ today, they should have chase down this small total of 195 rather then falling at 82 runs. Highest scorer was Mitchell Santner who scored 16 runs. Aus lost 8 wickets for 117 but Starc, Zampa and Hazlewood took the score to 195 runs. Zampa took 5 wickets also.

The pitch was completely a bowling aid pitch. This was well understood by the batting of the Australian batsmen. As the target was only 196 runs. So New Zealand players should have batted responsibly from the beginning of the innings. But before the end of 10 overs, New Zealand lost three valuable wickets for just 14 runs. And in this match, New Zealand was not able to get back on track. Kane Williamson scored the maximum 17 runs for the team.

Mitchell Starc's performance today was exceptional. He remained unbeaten on 38 runs. And also managed to pick up two wickets. However, the performances of experienced batsmen like Warner, Finch, Labuschange and Stoinis were very disappointing.

in the past we have seen that the Australian team has done a very good job when they have a good amount of experience on board, but in this day and age where the players in every team have to be really quick and enthusiastic, is it really the best approach?
there is no doubt that the team needs some young players on it, i am quite sure they have caught enough players in the pipeline

My problem is not with Australia selecting experienced players. Rather, my issue is with Australia sticking with oldies despite their repeated poor performance. They should replace players who don't perform. And this is the reason why today's Australian team can't be compared to the squads from 1990s. yes, on that problem, i have to agree with you, Australia is still going on with the really old generation which is obviously not performing as it once did, i think Australia really should give chances to the younger generation, i think at least they should give them are chance because i believe they will be able to perform better perfect to what the older generation of Australia is doing right now

i believe they should keep two to four old players in the squad maximum, other players should be young and are currently performing well, i know that players are going to know a lot more with experience but the problem is if their bodies cannot do what they are supposed to, all that knowledge is going to be worthless

When the form dipped everyone was writing Virat Kohli off and if he failed in this tournament he would not be playing in the World Cup team and hence the pressure was on him to perform and confirm his place and hence the emotions after scoring his maiden century in T20 and a century after a long drought.

I too had the same thought of New Zealand winning the match as 195 is an easy target to be reached. None were able to make steady partnership. Kane Williamson managed to score little, but he wasn't able to keep it up and fell to Zamba. As said four Maiden overs out of 5 overs bowled with 2 wickets is very rare. By the time New Zealand should've taken chances than defending.

At the moment, New Zealand and Australia teams are almost equal in quality. Both teams have a lot of talented and experienced players. New Zealand lost the first two matches. The main reason for this was the performance of their batsmen was not good. Australia set a target of only 196 runs in the second match. Still New Zealand could not win. If the New Zealand batsmen can play well in the third match, they will win. But if the batsmen are not able to play well in the last match then Australia will win the last match easily. But my guess is that New Zealand will come back in the truck in the last match.
