They will already be safe once inside the bubble as they are no longer allowed to go out until the conference or season will be over, except for some justifiable reasons. I like to see this as it's been awhile that PBA was stopped and they are already training now so it only tells they will come back soon.

The concept of the PBA bubble is starting to take shape now and the good news is the have the date on when to tentatively start the resumption of the games.

If plans don’t miscarry, the PBA will restart its suspended 45th season on Oct. 9 and end hostilities by Dec. 10 or 15 with a possible schedule of four or five game days a week featuring tripleheaders under strict health/safety conditions as prescribed by the IATF.

Looks like that it will be a crowdless games as the IATF is very strict with the implementation of the safety protocol.

Marcial said the board will evaluate various options to restart the season in the coming meeting. It could be a race to finish the season at least a week before Christmas. The options include a combination of tripleheaders and doubleheaders, games to be held four or five days a week and setting up bubble-like camps for the teams. Since the PBA disclosed that it is considering to create “bubble” camps like the NBA, at least 13 hotels have reached out to offer hosting services. Some hotels even suggested to transform their ballrooms into practice facilities and one provincial resort offered to build a tent for the games with the goal of promoting the season as a boost for tourism.

NLEX coach Yeng Guiao still considers Metro Manila as the ideal place to hold a PBA bubble once the pro league finally resumes its season.

Not only is a Metro Manila bubble going to be logistically viable and less costly, it will also allow teams to practice in their own training facilities, which Guiao thought would be one of the major issues should the league holds its games outside the Big City.

The champion coach sees good, old Smart Araneta Colisuem as the most suitable venue to hold the bubble.

Read the article and actually it is really a good suggestion, I'm really not into the continuation of the game cause I can't think of a place here where they can put all the players throughout the season without going out, like the orlando bubble of the NBA. So Coach Yeng mentions of staying in a hotel all throughout, and hotel-practice-hotel-practice, and I think it is the only way to have games, it can be possible even though we don't have a bubble. As long as all the staff and players are REALLY not going out, cause its for their own safety too. They shouldn't meet anybody who are not in the bubble, cause it will create problems to their safety plan.

Imagine the cost they will lose if one are tested positive and they have already started the season, I think they can't afford to see that, so yes, they will do everything to make the tournament safe for everyone and to protect their investment.

They have already given an estimated resumption date, and that is next month, so hopefully everything will work according to schedule.

A violation has a chance to happen even how strict PBA is. Remember when Japeth Aguilar got sanctioned during the pandemic because he got involved in a scrimmage. Another one, BlackWater held a practice even without the PBA's approval. There are lots of hard-headed in the league that feel special because they think they can get away with "palakasan" between teams and PBA.

I agree a big sanction should be implemented, a big fine plus suspension without pay. Actually, no need for strict rules as players should already know the supposed difference between right and wrongdoings inside the bubble.

We will certainly missed this guy, but honestly, I don't know about the diseased, so thanks for sharing though. With his retirement, this should open up an opportunity for new players to joined the team, but anyway, I hope we can also see him around, either as announcer or a coach.

In a recent guesting on 2OT with Carlo Pamintuan and Magoo Marjon, Fajardo rattled off Christian Standhardinger, Jayson Castro, Japeth Aguilar, Chris Newsome, and CJ Perez as the ones who have a shot at claiming the top individual award.

He is talking about the best players in the PBA right now, for me, I have no doubt with C Stand, Castro and Aguilar, but the young ones, I think it will take time. So what do you think, who will get an MVP award first, is it CJ Perez or Chris Newsome?

CJ player and  Bollick had a good rokie year in the PBA, I don't know about the journey of Chris Newsome in his rookie year.

They are both good but CJ is just quite a good ball handler and a shooter compared to Newsome and a good teammate as well, that's my personal observation and maybe some would not agree with me here. However, opinion coming from the best player in the PBA for consecutive season, it's full of truthfulness so I would give the guys mentioned a chance, let's see if they can win an MVP award.

I could not agree with you more lol. Without Fajardo this season, i have Cstand to become the MVP on this shortened season. This guy is unstoppable and can score at will now that he is with NorthPort. CJ Perez is one of the new kid that has potential to be MVP, all he just need to do is avoid being injured and be humble. He is fearless as what we saw on the FIBA championship against Serbia. Slashing against the giants in the middle  , he must be careful with that one as this might be the cause of his injuries in the future.

CJ Perez might get an MVP award in the future if he won't transfer teams. As we know, he is the main scorer on his team so chances of getting good stats are possible to compare if he will be traded to another team with another superstar.

He just needs to stay healthy and fit as much as possible. He is just starting and lots of room for improvement.

If things go right, he will be one of the future faces in the league. About who's going first to become MVP between him and Newsome, I think that shouldn't be a question.

For now, I will disagree with this.

Newsome has a supporting role in teammates. No need to carry the team by himself so performance and stats-wise, Perez might be ahead. Newsome is also an experienced player that plays under pressure several times.

Too early to say but maybe in the future, CJ will have the upper hand.

We can have a good competition in the MVP if Fajardo will retire, as long as he is in the league, he will dominate the individual award and SMB will dominate the team award, that's the reality. With what Fajardo said, I hope these player will be inspired, being praised by "THE KRAKEN" should give them some kind of happiness inside.

But after I had know that one of the athletic I had known had died because of the virus that complicate his present condition. Usually, an atheletic has different ECG result because the heart itself had been evolvinfg due to rigid physical activities. He has different rythm to which most likely athletic has and that when virus transmitted to him it went directly complicated through his heart lead to cardiac arrest. However, this is still an assumption with the story of people close to him. In regard, these players should be always careful not getting the virus.

Phoenix fires Louie Alas, appoints Topex Robinson interim coach

PHOENIX Super LPG fired Louie Alas as head coach of its team in the PBA, appointing Topex Robinson to take over in an interim capacity.

The Fuel Masters made the stunning announcement on its social media accounts on Friday, just days after suspending Alas for 15 days for breaking health protocols in the team's return to practice amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Good luck to this team, hopefully the decision would result to an improvement of the team.
