that's just how it is my friend... the best mining rigs are always going to be in high demand. We need to get in early - waiting til september isn't going to help either; you'll need to get that order in sharpish... same thing will happen and by the time you see them ready for build, they'll sell out.
I should also say, Sp-Tech methods have been top notch, right from their self-funded batch 1 SP10's to the final batch, everything they have done has been right on the money with regards to customer service and quality control. I managed to get an SP10 from the 2nd batch and i'm glad I did - it's now mined almost 4BTC and I can see break even looming up ahead in the next few months. However, I was scraping my pennies together for more SP10; i've also missed out it would seem...

It's expensive.  I paid the list price on the web page, plus customs import duty. But where it is located it had to be quiet, discreet, and secure (the cabinet is lockable). It's in an "office" type of environment and I didn't want anyone interfering with my rig.

Yes, this is right, I added some info inline. There are no 'ideal' settings since it depends on corner, temperature and other stuff. The dependancy is complicated and the SW tries to find ideal settings. The colder the system the more efficient it is, in slower corner the temperature effect is stronger.

Thanks for the info RoadStess.  It has certainly given me some more ideas on how to fine tune my SP10.  What I'm really looking for is what the column headers on the ASIC stats page mean.  For the most part, I can figure them out.  Here they are listed below, and my assumption of the definition, or a question mark if I just don't have a clue.

temp	(mine is always 0) - not measured because of PSU i2c problems.
leading zeroes	? (mine is almost always 39, I saw 38 once)
L	Group of ASICS - there are 24 labeled 0-23
Vtrm/max	? - voltage settings register in DC2DC vlt Voltage in millivolts for this group Wt ? Wattage for this group Am ? Amps DCt Temperature in Celsius of DC2DC crt   logic related to state of scaling, not interesting for end user Gh Hash rate of this chip group in GH/s Ov logic related to state of scaling, not interesting for end user ID ID of the particular Hammer ASIC (192 of these altogether) aTMP Temp of this Hammer in Celsius - smaller then 113 is under sensor level, 113 means between 113 and 119, 119 is top limit and SW starts downscaling this ASIC Freq Clock frequency of this Hammer. Depends on voltage/BIST/temperature. The higher the better. Top realistic limit around 630Mhz Th delta between current frequency and thermal maximal frequency Bt delta between current frequency and BIST maximal frequency Engn Bitmask of enabled engines. In low voltages some engines fail, and some have production defects Wn Shares found per ASIC Can somebody fill in the blanks and provide acceptable ranges/ideal values to which we should strive when tuning the SP10?

I'm able to access the shell, but how does one view the CGMINER screen while it is hashing? And to exit it, restart it while in the shell? I do like the graphical interface since it does have all you need, but more or less out of curiosity. Thanks.

If i'm not mistaken to see cgminer you have to type "cgminer -dr". To exit what? Cgminer? The shell window?

I don't think cgminer can be viewed in ssh, it would be nice thou.

for some reason screen command isn't installed.
could dev team please include 'screen' command configured to view cgminer in a future update of the firmware. 

BTW, minepeon did have screen command working with cgminer and cgminer could be viewed by typing 'screen -r' in ssh session.

thanks for the reply.

your code does work well, but only showing accepted shares scrolling up the screen and occasionally you see the miner speed flashed on bottom line as you can see in the screenshot below left.  But is it possible to see cgminer like the screenshot below right, where you can see [A]accepted/[R]rejected/[HW]hardware-errors



I'm pretty sure that screen command needs to be installed and implemented correctly to display cgminer like screenshot above right.
No rush, if it could be done for a future firmware upgrade would be great.

I believe (and correct me if I'm wrong, people) that cgminer needs to be compiled with "ncurses" support in order to generate the interface you are wanting.  "Screen" allows for textual 'multitasking' in a CLI environment, and is useful for running a CLI-based program in the 'background' on a single SSH session.
