By the way, those 3 players you mentioned above are my exact bench for this GW since I have a lot invested in them and I know I will want them after the blank.

Went a bit crazy this week and made 4 transfers, even though 2 were a bit sideways. I know i had to do Fernadez to Salah and Kane to Nunez but I could have skipped on Mahrez to Saka and White to Trent. Made this one just because I wanted Saka and then needed to remove White to make space.

Actually just realised even Wolves have a DGW so if you think Liverpool will misstep, might actually be a good idea to put a player in from there as a hedge (which I just did haha, not because of a misstep possibility, just to put someone on the bench in case of worst case scenario).

I tried understanding about this budget system (sell price) but I probably only will pay attention later on. I cleared out my team drastically some weeks back, don't remember getting much more for Salah who'd been in it forever...

That's because Salah, was barely/never high in demand, and you most likely would have even lost some budget for having him all through this while, but it's not going to be a very important factor to consider for anyone that barely have a player for more than 3 game weeks, they'd hardly ever be caught in between those heavy fluctuations.

I'm still caught up with the sacrifice needed from me to be able to afford Darwin Nunez, but would he be worth that risk at the end of the day ?

It is worth it, because if you sell a player this game week for another, and you can't bring in the same player the following game week because there is already a difference of 0.6m within that week because you sold and need to get him back, if you really want to understand what we mean, whenever you're using your wild card, just transfer out all your current player and save the changes, then try to bring back all the exact players back again after you've saved the changes and see if your budget would be enough to have them back.

It's exhausting, but it's all part of the game and itis very significant because, it will be terrible to see and highly inform player but can afford, those pro FPL players that have been paying attention to the prizes since the beginning will be able afford 4-5 premium right now without stressing too much, and when could be the best time to get all the best players possible, who wouldn't want to have De Bruyne, Saka, Salah, Rashford, and Kane, Haaland, Darwin upfront all together in the squad at once, more so without sacrificing the likes of Tripper, Shaw and Trent at the back line.


For example below is the most expensive squad in FPL right now, Imagine what players like Morvilz7z, Trofo or Icopress would do with that kind of budget at their disposal, especially if they already have the likes of the must have Haaland, Rashford and what have you, They'll practically be unstoppable in this double game weeks, wouldn't you agree?

Sorry, Liverpool fans, but this guy's injury history suggests he might not perform as well as expected. Right now, I'm envious of Kane owners.

I feel sorry for Buwaytress, who has been watching and hoping for this bum to come up with good games after good games..

This is only first game in double game week, both Darwin and Nketiah can play in second one and make up for this one with couple of goals. It is just perfect FPL, you go out of your way to bring in player just to see him benched. Will be happening more and more as season comes towards the end and fatigue starts to set in.

Good thing is that most of us have both, so you aren't actually climbing or loosing position on this decision.

I totally get the value of paying attention to price/budget system, as pointed out above, $110m is 10.2M more than my squad value, and that's an entire 2 or 3 players upgrade. I actually think FPL should pay more attention to this aspect. Value increasing/decreasing more.

But anyway, I'm like Ige, I don't care and it doesn't have a single iota of impact on my decision... for now. Then again, penalties don't even change my mind either =)

@harko: Nunez? I can't say for Fantasy, but he'll be worth it (and according to stats on and off the ball, minus actual goals, he is still the value we paid for, haha)

That was fianlly after being able to come up with a somewhat no so wise decision to bring in Darwin Nunez into my squad and Trippier was the price I had to pay, Initially, I settled for Olie watkins who's been in a red hot but I'd prefer Nunez with two games to play over Olie, and Trippier for Coleman was my sacrifice that I had to make, now I'm having 3 Everton players at my backline, against Aston Villa and Arsenal, very crazy stuff as my backline looks very week, but I think I can live with that for this week simply because I've not been getting much points from my defenses to begin with.

Nunez might be more of just a caution, but if he's indeed out for both games, no one is coming to rescue me because none of my bench players is having a fixture.

Nketieh is another overrated player on my team; he's someone I always have an excuse to have on my team, but with the way Traossard and Martinelli are playing, I think his days are numbered.

Injuries are a common occurrence in football, and players require time to recover and regain their form. It's also worth noting that even after an injury, players can surprise us with their performances. Instead of focusing on the negatives, consider your team's strengths and weaknesses as you prepare for the upcoming games. And keep in mind that there are still many weeks left in the season for players to make an impact.
I think I will lose a lot of points in the next rounds, I will try to sort things out from here on out.

Goodness me...why did Hendo have to move to the left?  He and Matip had one job on that trick set piece, stay in front of the goalie, that's it. Probably cost TAA and Salah owners 15+ pts in the end, it was going top bin, Guaita had no chance of catching that.

Annoying start of the BDGW, with some key players not starting, others blanking...etc. I was kinda forced to use my FH chip this week, likely to end on a small green or grey arrow, still my FH team is projected to outscore my otherwise -8 team by 25 to 35pts, plus i don't have to keep triple Liverpool going forward....Lol

Personally I don't rate strikers who blank in more than 5 games unless you're making an impact or making changes to goal like Harry Kane does When he's not scoring, he's assisting his teammates; I can't say the same for Nketieh; he doesn't have much of an impact on the team, he doesn't scare the hect out of defenders, and he's only playing well right now because he's in a more balanced team. If there was any good alternative he would be sitting on the bench due to his recent performance. For the record, Messi at 23 has already won two Ballon d'Or..

Stop treating him like he's some 17-year-old Academy kid when he's fucking ruining my FPL party; I'm his manager, and I have the right to to say shit to underperforming players.

Perhaps he felt Firmino was too selfless to be his main striker, because I see no reason Darwin should play ahead of Firmino

Man! Emotions is part of the game so is injuries too. I understand that but it's hurt when you have a cargo to catch and some players is letting you down.

I was thinking just the same and was coming here to write about it What is worse the ball hit him in the head, part of the body which is very easy to move out of the way, just duck man.

I have already seen that ball in the goal and judging by Trent reaction he did too. Really bad start to double GW, only good thing about it is that is equally bad for everybody.

Saw your comment late but yes, our own players cost us. I used the FH chip too, the biggest pain was actually slotting in Nunez to DGW opportunity so that was a blank up front.

Alcaraz and Watkins luckily gave a trickle of points but it feels like a poor week using FH and only getting 50 points.

Probably stupid of me also that Harrison was in my bench and got 6 points, while those actually on the team didn't match him.

I am thinking you didn't know but Darwin injury is actually shoulder. He got it even before CL match but played it under pain killers and lasted 60 minutes. So the destiny of your team is literally on his shoulder 

I transferred him in knowing about injury but I thought it was nothing serious if he played that CL match. Unfortunately I don't see Klopp risking him so soon now that he has some other attacking options back and after he was not even on bench last time.
