Time for that breakout? Smiley

Probably and hopefully. We are waiting bull market for a long time.

Finally sub 200k XMR for sale. Perhaps the announcement of Crypto Kingdom has incited a rush on Monero.

Do you guys realize Monero's pretty much just gone down since mid June?

Why do you keep listening to the same voices that got you into this mess in the first place?

Or is there just a fresh cycle of noobs that keeps filling the place of those exiting?

I consider the 1-2 week Mintpal pump in mid-June to have been a one-off and I thought it was stupid at the time (I said so at the time and I sold into it). If you exclude it, the price is pretty steady the whole time (though to be fair it is near the bottom of the historical trading range right now).

I have no idea who bought during that pump but whoever that was has the mess, not me.

Thank you for your concern for others.

Yes some people are a bit optimistic for the short term but there is no reason to be pessimistic.

#1 is because of high emissions.  They are however coming down.  The reward was over 16XMR/blk in June and as shown below it is now under 14XMR.  Everybody likes round numbers and one such number is 13.888 which is the block reward where less than 20,000 are mined a day.

 Last Reward: 13.8221 XMR
 Last Reward: 13.9692 XMR
 Last Reward: 13.8221 XMR
 Last Reward:  14.1005 XMR
 Last Reward:  13.9750 XMR

#2 is waiting for necessary improvements for XMR to be able to be used by The Drooling Masses®.  Although I am one of The Drooling Masses I have been able to mine and use XMR due to motivation.

#3 is the FUD of the last 3 weeks which is coming to an end one way or another "soon".

May I also point out that btc has been in a decline since June as well.  XMR is niether a shitcoin nor a P&D

@smooth, your welcome although at this point I'm not in a mess Smiley

Well one such Mass-Appealing Thing® is the first ever virtual world that uses XMR (or any crypto btw.. Shocked) as the in-game transaction medium + accounting unit + way to load the balance.

No not really that. My way to give liquidity has been small bids and asks near the market that gives several fills per day with just 2-3 % profit per hit.

Wallmaking currently has the issue that an ASK wall is 300% more likely to be filled than a BID wall in equal distance so it requires a different risk mgmt approach.

Also I don't want to be more than 35% of the orders in any range, or 5% of trades.

Bid side collapsed hard, volume too. market seems exhausted. where do we go?
Yea.. forum activity and participation of prominent members also on the decline. I think there is overall disappointment that the database and GUI, which were just around the corner two months ago are still not here. I guess the majority of investors are in the red, which doesn't add much to the enthusiasm..
I started developing a service based on XMR, but put it on hold until I see clear signs that things are going in the right direction.

Its right before the timewarp attack by BCX should start so people are pulling out again. If no attack happens in the next 24 hours it should start to increase.

Jully 13, price was 0.0026BTC and there was 2.058k coins in existance so Moneros was worth 5350BTC
October 12, price is 0.0029BTC and there is 3.982k coins in existance so Moneros are worth 11548BTC

This makes Moneros 2.15 times more worth then they were 3 months ago. You will hardly find coin that can compare with this if at all!

Monero has something that no other coin (even BTC) has: Virtual World.

I think it's the fear hanging around (see McHaggis' reply), not what you've stated above. The devs never gave a timeline for these things. So basicly that can't lead to disappointment.

Yes I guess the fear is also contributing to the situation, today is the 12th, which is the final deadline BCX gave, we'll see how the market behaves tomorrow.. My assumption is that many sold due to the threat, but will not be in a hurry to buy back in when the threat is gone due to the reasons I stated above. The fact that they didn't give a timeline does not mean there was no expectation, just go over the various threads, and see how many people asked about the DB & GUI, I'm pretty sure there is disappointment. I remember that ItsAboutSharing stated that he is not buying the dips because of the absence of GUI. I didn't sell anything, but also not increasing my stash due to this. The developers have clearly shown their ability to handle crisis, which is great. But they haven't shown their ability to deliver substantial core features yet.

the only reason I am not buying more is that there will probably be a serious competitor in the next 6-8 months. otherwise I would buy much more.

there is place for one serious private ledger and that one will be very very powerful in the long term

moneros chances to be that one are quite high

I believe he said that his 22 days took us to late 10/11 or early 10/12 GMT.

Should be about 4:40 PM GMT as I type this.

Unfortunately, I suspect we won't get a definitive end-to-the-threat statement, which might be a market-mover.

If there is no GUI wallet before this then It will all be downhill.

Hey look I'm in a Moderated topic. This post will be deleted because I'm not delusional.
