Hashking, the deal for reduced repayment to me is now in default & so void, I no longer will accept any repayment from you at all - instead I will help you to see that this wasn't such a good idea, I practice what you may call something like Voodoo - anyway all the best with your sanity & stuff, adios...

Pirate pool all paid out!

Good luck everyone on the Feb draw!

Many thanks, it appears that the PP bet I made on Hannah's behalf this month was the winning hash (if taken in order of the PP bets placed), so lots more good karma to everyone who entered & thanks from my niece too who I gifted some bets for & thanks also from me, much appreciated! Best of luck for the next months to all!

I'll pass & let one of the many more tech savvy ppl here explain or bitlotto himself maybe, btw bitlotto we're at 1 week from results having been announced tomorrow & 10 days from the draw (*hint, hint - winner's payments - cough, cough*)

Edit: kbf also check the 'How the hashes are done for pools' link in my post above or on the BitLotto site which explains how it all works I believe.

...

Are you short Otoh? Wink

Well, effectively yes I am - but mostly as just wishful thinking re timing, I wanted to buy back in a lot late last summer but didn't have the funds, I sent some things to auction & got an advance against them for about 1/4 of the expected proceeds which I spent on Bitcoins but only now have the balance cleared which is on it's way to Gox atm, in the mean time I've watched the price rise from $11 to over $14 so some correction in the next week or two would be fine by me but np if not - I think 2013 may be very bubbly with many chances to re-buy lower, like every 5 to 10% up or down then sell/buy 5 to 10% of one's holdings repeatedly - but always holding on to at least 50% of them what ever. Also I like Litecoin a lot Wink: http://explorer.litecoin.net/address/LcLJUZtRyLTs9uNqfWZijo2mFnMbdoQTfb & plan to keep stacking there as could be much upside as things start to roll out for it this year.

Edit: I was also wondering if the potential problem/s were more about ASIC developments etc rather than the btc price at, I see that bASIC appears to be going/gone TU in true FU style https://www.btcfpga.com/forum/index.php?topic=1041.msg3093
2067  Economy / Speculation / Re: wow, bitcoin's astro birth chart is full on! on: January 10, 2013, 03:43:03 PM
I see that there was some nice synchronicity between one of the Bitcoin birthday pics that I posted here on the 3rd Jan & the BitLotto result for the 4th Jan where I had recommended the Pirate Pool this month.

Bitcoin's horoscopes for Thursday January 10, 2013

Rural roads are often littered with the corpses of poor unfortunate creatures that have been mowed down by the passing traffic. This is not because a succession of vindictive motorists have made a special effort to seek out and destroy the local wildlife. It is, at least sometimes, because those animals freeze in terror. They don't know or understand how to get out of danger's way. A part of you now foresees problematic potential in a series of imminent events. But you don't have to just stand there and let them happen.
2068  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] Bitcorp Mining Company - BTCMC 60+ GH/s, clear ASIC upgrade path. on: January 07, 2013, 09:36:13 PM
"Once we hit 80%, accrued dividends will be paid out and the claims process will be closed."

'I have verified 80%+ of shareholders.  On February 1st, the dividends held in trust (150 BTC) will be paid out to verified shareholders to the address submitted with their claims."

So now it's wait another 3 weeks, doesn't really surprise me any more how this is panning out & I still think that Nov & subsequent dividends should not be marked as suspended & zero but actually shown as owed & put aside in a specific public address rather than just deciding unilaterally to hang on to them after they became due.

What is God's name are you talking about?  There were no subsequent dividends after Nov.  Should i just create some?

Dividends have always been on the first of the month, and that will not change.

Oct 2012 due 1st Nov 2012, we have to wait 3 more weeks for, even though you said it would be paid when 80% of the claims were in & they are.
Nov 2012 due 1st Dec 2012, but was cancelled on the 6th Dec without any consultation or vote by the share owners.
Dec 2012 would have been due 1st Jan 2013, but also now just being held by you & not paid out without stating how much was earned/due.

Jan 2013 due 1st Feb 2013, you plan to just hang on to that too it seems.

so it goes...

Edit: the only reason there are no subsequent dividends after Nov is that you just decided unilaterally to stop paying any & instead to hold on to any btc that have been earned.
2069  Economy / Gambling / Re: [BITLOTTO] Jan draw over! Next draw Feb 1! on: January 07, 2013, 07:34:44 PM
Was this the address for the Jan Pirate Pool?

http://blockchain.info/address/1pMZJi4eA144ChzXtsS8sCzrJADcXeAWR

which received 6.644 btc in total ---> 6.75 btc with top up.

& with the very first bet there from 13mLYBrRZ3fQzTCvr3araxZPRbBZxbCNG8 of 0.2 btc winning it for the pool.

Edit, just remembered/worked out all 6.75 btc from the pool use that first tx to generate hashes from, as per the How the hashes are done for pools info.

& which win 35.39/6.75 = 5.242962 per btc bet or approx 0.5243 btc per 0.1 btc bet each, or a fraction more if your 0.1056 btc top up contribution isn't counted as a partial winner too.

Edit 2, If it was easy to do then having some of the result's txt file bolded/highlighted would be nice, ie something like this maybe (note, needs a wide screen to view formatting in two columns like the original correctly here):

MIXED HASHES (Determines winner)                                                                 BITCOIN TX HASH

I sent my info in on the 6th Dec & got this reply "Thank you.  Keep an eye on the thread for more info, and we should have this resolved in the next 2 weeks. "

It's now 4 weeks & even allowing for the holidays some update should be given as to why this is taking over twice as long as planned. Huh

Happy 4th birthday Bitcoin! Smiley

http://www.lawmemo.com/images/blog/birthday4.jpg

Or more exactly, Happy 4th birthday blockchain, as the first block was made on the 3rd Jan 2009, with today's aspect of Mercury square Uranus being one of the keys to your year ahead there will be a lot of inspiration, originality & invention but it will be hard to put this effectively in to practice unless attention is paid to practical advise & moving ahead at a steady pace. We have the new moon in Capricorn to look forward to on the 11th Jan when things should be clearer all round for you & expect good fortune around the 26th Jan. There's also influence now from tomorrow's very positive aspect of Mars trine Jupiter which helps with successful activity & starting new projects for you this next year.

Bitcoin's year to come 2013

If there’s a single phrase that sums up this year, it’s 'fresh perspective’. With your ruler Saturn accenting new plans or projects and those interesting and, often, unfamiliar individuals with whom you’ll be pursing these ideas or objectives until 2015, the more you explore, the better. This begins with the powerful Capricorn New Moon on 11 January. List your goals then, but ensure they’re flexible, as changes in circumstances but, more importantly, unexpected offers will transform your thinking. By August you’ll be in unfamiliar territory, and have to rely on others. Challenging as this is, by the year’s close, you’re instincts will be stronger and you’ll have learned to trust as never before.

Once who ever sent the funds to 1TBZjmXho6mdGhoESaMV2svtqJXYtWfEp realizes they messed up I expect that they would google the address, as it's in your profile it brings up some of your posts ie: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=129037.0 where they would be able to see who to PM, but this current thread doesn't show up or isn't prominent in search as yet but may become more so if you added the address to the thread title, eg: Re: Random sweeps into my public wallet 1TBZjmXho6mdGhoESaMV2svtqJXYtWfEp totaling 519.704 - Lost and Found?

If they search the forum for 1TBZjmXho6mdGhoESaMV2svtqJXYtWfEp though then this thread is the first hit already here. We should make side bets on when they will find out what they've done & the total they'll have sent by then - I'll guess the 28th Dec after sending another 500 coins to it.
2075  Other / Archival / Re: Random sweeps into my public wallet totaling 519.704 - Lost and Found? on: December 25, 2012, 08:39:54 PM
Fascinating indeed, I suspect a FirstBits typo myslef <--- (didn't mean to do that but there you go, so easy) as others have suggested, lots of kudos & good karma* to you for posting about it, maybe someone's offline storage stash address got typo-ed & they haven't been monitoring the balance, or a Casascius coin/savings bar where someone read the FB address incorrectly (quite easy sometimes).  I can also see a cool film script though if you mixed this kind of typo with say a 'Bangkok Dangerous' style assassin for hire's remunerations etc now that Swiss banks are so useless (UBS - cough, cough*). Hmmm, some anon just sent me 5k btc again - how strange, oh well back to the news: Reports are just coming in of yet another suspicious death linked to the mysterious ZTT group, the Zeta Taco Triad.

edit: possible FB Typos for 1TBZjm ---> 1T8Zjm   1TBZim   1TBZjn   1TB2jm   1TBZmj   1TBZj   = nope so far

As LoweryCBS found, 1TBZm = https://blockchain.info/address/1TBZm3dGkbz7VggzzPAGaXh4hvHxJZNCJ is most interesting for it's high value TXs & I bet this was the intended recipient, it will be interesting to see how this unfolds.

Bitcoin's horoscope for the week of 25 December 2012 ~ Prognosis for Bitcoin in 2013, Part II

Together we will work to dispel any unconscious attraction you might have to demoralizing chaos or pathological melodrama. I just created this new address in my blockchain.inf/MyWallet - 12LFYVWKz5wWaofhHGnB5EXtkJwGV2yGAy - as you can see it has the word GAy at the end.  Can I get the private key for that address and sell it, is that possible.

1FabuLous... perhaps, but if it's at the end then:

1...CuteButt maybe, both as easy, combined though may be a winner for you but rather hard to hash

2078  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Melting Coins? on: December 24, 2012, 08:09:26 PM
Anytime that the metal content of issued coins becomes greater than their face value then ppl take them out of circulation for their melt value, it's happened many times, usually for PMs like gold & silver where there is np reselling, if it has ever happened with say copper coins I'm not sure but in times of wars etc copper becomes too much in demand for use in coins often, scrap dealers/recyclers buy any metal with market value at spot price minus their commission np. Many gold & silver coins are sold for solely their melt value, sometimes less & can always be resold as is or refined in to ingots say if it's worth doing.

I made a vanity address for my niece & would perhaps be interested in funding it this way for a reasonable premium, maybe others would too - I wouldn't be surprised if it was being planned for a long term investment &/or gift.

Edit: I collect coins & have sold 2 since 2010 for between $80k to $100k each, they weighed 37.22 grams Au each, melt value approx $2k each.
