2061  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Older Man Treated Like Crap During Meeting with Entitled City Council Members on: August 02, 2019, 04:23:32 PM
Well I have some good and bad news for you:

Good news:

You can 'fire' these people on the city council. Though you're going to have to convince people that not only is the current city council doing a bad job, but that there is another candidate who will do a better job.

Bad News:

This is a tough thing to do on a city council, as not many people vote in these elections and you'd have to seek out the people who are pretty stuck in their ways.

2062  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: bittrex scam they did not open my account 12,7 BTC ( 134.000 dolar ) on: August 02, 2019, 02:34:12 PM
He messed up the screenshot but his story his weird and he didn't explain it correctly.
From what I understand one of his bittrex accounts is locked. Looking at his post history it's not the first it happens to him, he had a similar problem with another site.

Dude, you did something wrong with your account for sure.

Without a doubt messed up the screenshot, as it's literally just some random shit.

But yeah, you're not the first guy in the history of crypto to have his account locked. I am going to assume it's from now following some sort of KYC regulation that they asked you too. There's nothing that we'd be able to do here, unless you are able to show that there is some sort of wrongdoing on behalf of bittrex. That's the only way we're able to promote outrage.
2063  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Most safest and useful trading system on: August 02, 2019, 02:19:36 PM
I'm really going to kill the vibes in the trading section here, but the best way to trade (and the tried and true must profitable one) is to not trade at all. If you don't touch the trading scene with a 10 foot pole, you have the best chance of making money -- not only here, but in traditional asset classes as well.

HODL.
2064  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Video] How do Casinos make money? on: August 02, 2019, 02:04:31 PM
Thanks for the share up and i can say this is more psychological which i do really agree on what are the facts being pointed out on that infographics.

Just to point out some HE being mentioned on that video.

Slots HE- 17%
Keno- 25%
Blackjack - 0.8%
Craps- 0.8%
Baccarat- 1.06%

I fully agree on this line stated by a former dealer.

"I chose to leave because gaming exploits the negative characteristics of a human nature to extract as much money from each customer as fast and as frequently as possible."

This wont really be applicable on physical casinos but also on online casinos as well yet behavior can be seen either both sides.

There is a range for some of these though. I think slots are around 2-17 percent house edge. Blackjack is highly dependent on the player theemself, so that ranges from .2 - 2 percent. Others im not very sure of.

Do note that a large number of online casinos will actually use investors' bankroll in order to accept larger bets, this allows them to grow without their own money. They are obviously paying out profits to these people, but it's something to take note of as well.
2065  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Mega Yachts: The Latest Craze For Billionaires on: August 02, 2019, 01:50:32 PM
You do understand that these billiionaires do also donate large sums of money to advance research causes around the world, right? Even if they didn't, no one has to donate money -- they earned every penny that they have and they can use it they want that they want it, not the way you want them too.

Let them enjoy their money. For gods sake people are so fucking jealous of others people.
2066  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Mother's body ... sold on to the US Military for $6,000 on: August 02, 2019, 12:39:23 AM
This may sound horrible and I know I'm truly playing devils advocate here.

But what in gods name is Alzheimer's research center going to be able to do with a body? They probably have tons of them that they can do research and tests on to see what Alzheimer does to the brain and the inner functions of the disease itself.

Maybe selling it to the US military will provide them valuable resources -- in this case, $6000 to be used towards continuing research which is highly costly.
2067  Other / Politics & Society / Re: President Trump signs the 9/11 first responders bill on: August 02, 2019, 12:21:45 AM
What the hell are you on about?

When the towers came down there was a mass amount of asbestos filled walls in the building. When the walls came down, and all the dust went into the air. For most people this isn't an issue though, as they didn't have to inhale all of this. But for the police, fire department, emt, etc who ran into this then they're going to OBVIOUSLY have some problems with their lungs, cancer, etc.

Just thank the President and Congress for doing this, and thank Jon Stewart for bringing attention here. These people deserve funds and shouldn't be left to die by the US government.
2068  Other / Politics & Society / Re: US Congress Hearing on Cryptos on: August 01, 2019, 10:54:24 PM
It's a good thing to see regulations coming because that should ultimately lead to more exposure and easier access to the general population.
But short term it might be problematic for the market as exchanges has to adapt

The only reason that people would be happy to see any regulations is so that they know they're not in a gray area. Regulations aren't going to bring more people to the space, nor is the government going to bring us free advertising.

Problematic. The government is going to look out for themselves, and to look out for themselves they want control -- which crypto doesn't allow them to have.
2069  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [War Simulator] China vs US on: August 01, 2019, 10:46:59 PM
China would win, Do you realize the female Chinese military has more troops than the Americans+Canada+UK male/female combined!

How many female defenders would America have? Even if you take out cops/military, civvies still have guns. And we can guerrilla.

Let`s just look at some numbers

1.586 billion Chinese (all drafted into military)
350 million Americans (some drafted into military)

5/1 odds brother. Good luck, America has no fucking chance vs the Chinese. You seriously need to tell Trump to shut the fuck up. Go play a game of PUBG, CHINESE FUCKING HATE AMERICA.

https://youtu.be/fClgTuMzaJo?t=440

Ugh.

Are you going to ignore the fact that the US isn't just one of those minor nations that has no other allies in the world. The US, if they were attacked has a coalition of the willing that would LOVE to fight off the Chinese in order to protect America -- as Americans interests and businesses dominate the entire world. We're talking like all of NATO here.

Even just toe to toe, the US would destroy China with its advanced technological capabilities -- even with the amount of people that China has at their whim. Having tons of bodies and simple guns used to be how warfare was handled. Now people go to a desk, put on a headset, and start firing from drones -- war is not the same.
2070  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice casinos with API access on: August 01, 2019, 10:34:29 PM
Crypto-games offer api access for dice betting. The speed will be determent there by your bet size.  You could also bet with 1 satoshi  but you will loose out on the betting speeds. except on Mondays because they remove the limit at that day.

Crypto Games is without a doubt one of the most premier sites you could gamble with. Highly recommend.

Though yet again do note that nothing is going to be instant, and there are still going to be limits placed to ensure that a ddos attack (or something of that nature) couldn't happen on here.

Goodluck!
2071  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: WPN Earns Guinness World Record for $5M Venom Payment in Crypto on: August 01, 2019, 10:15:20 PM
This sort of thing is something that I can see Bitcoin, or Crypto used for. As to send this amount if Bitcoin you're not going to have to kill yourself with fees or something along those lines -- like with a payment processor, bank intermediary, etc.

It also allows whoever is receiving the funds to not have an issue with their payment processor, which is vital when you're dealing with large sums of money from something like gambling.
2072  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which is better Government run Lottery or private run Lottery on: July 31, 2019, 10:15:35 PM
Whether a lottery is run by the Government or a private company, frequent audits done by disinterested parties should always be done. The only trick is to make sure the auditors are indeed disinterested.
A good suggestion of yours, the problem here is being corrupt staff on lottery gambling and maybe there are too many of them inside of the company which is they can negotiate others to become one of them. Money is powerful and even us, we might be tempted if someone offers on us with a high amount of value just to make our mouth shut. Auditing is good but I think this time that they must use blockchain technology which having transparency and will detail all of transactions activities.

Something like this isn't going to be as easy as you say it is.

Thing about a reputable company who does audits who is hired to do something like this -- a lottery audit account isn't worth that much, so they're not going to jeopardize their company -- and jail time for the people that are involved, just to help someone else out (or to make a small amount of money for themselves)

It's not worth it. Audits are helpful and they do a very amazing thing if done by a reputable company.
2073  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which is better Government run Lottery or private run Lottery on: July 31, 2019, 08:12:25 PM
I mean I don't think its fair to say that just because in this particular instance the government has been caught doing shady things -- such as embezzling money, that shouldn't mean that all government run lotteries are scams and that private companies should come in.

This sort of gambling should be run by the government, for the main reason that these governments should be using the profits from these gambling activities to reinvest into the community.

THOUGH -- Government does run into this problem with the fungibility of money. Meaning that because they get money from the lottery and dedicate it to schools (or whatever they dedicate it to) They're going to then take the money that was originally going to schools and put it somewhere else, as the money from the lottery is able to cover what their initial contribution was.

People think that this system makes more money go into education --> NO. The same amount of money is there, government has just diverted where the initial money was going as the lottery is now covering essential services.

But sadly this is probably the best system we currently have. As private companies have no place in lotteries (in my mind)
2074  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump-Brexit, interlinked through Cambridge Analytica. on: July 31, 2019, 08:01:34 PM

I don't understand that the left think that Trump is this horrible guy who hates our country and so on. There's no reason for this sort of thought. Just because Trump (and the left) have a different view on how they're going to solve the problems in our economy, trading and so on --> That's no reason to beleive the guy has bad intentions.

Trump supported Brexit, we know that. There's no crazy conspiracy behind that, you can look at his twitter and find that he supports Brexit and likes Boris Johnson.

Not everything is a conspiracy, pull it together guys.
2075  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Video Game Addiction, a very real problem. on: July 31, 2019, 07:40:22 PM
Without a doubt a problem, but I do think that society does blow it out of proportion. People claim video games are the reason behind mass shootings, violence, and so on and so forth.

Video games may be a problem to some people, but I would much rather have people addicted to playing games on their computer rather then shooting up heroin, or using other drugs.

It's a problem, though the media and parents blow it out of proportion.
2076  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Youtube Creators Union on: July 30, 2019, 04:43:46 PM
Youtube will be like any other big company out there, they're going to attack anyone that attempts to join this 'union' and then they're just going to help out the youtubers that don't want this union. There's always another person in line trying to take your fame, so this isn't going to be hard for youtube to crush if it's needed.

But hats off to these people if they pull it off, cause Youtube is fucking garbage with how they give out ad payments and such.
2077  Other / Politics & Society / Re: I think this should be mandatory on: July 30, 2019, 05:31:41 AM
So what you're telling me is that you think that there should be a decentralized system to warfare? You truly think that governments around the world are going to think that this is something that is smart and something that they've want to sign right up for? No fucking way.

Governments want to be in control of their arms, not leaving it in control of an AI.

I also don't know how it could be established in what defining 'fired a missile' is. What if there is a misfire, or if something is under maintenance, or if people make missiles in secret. Too many variables for something that will never happen anyway.
2078  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [US Only] Subsidized gym memberships? on: July 30, 2019, 02:42:49 AM
As if the government would ever pay for full solutions to the problem; in regards to treatment.

Ah, you mean killing the sickly? (joke)

I think in order for anyone in a position to consider adding gym membership as a cost reducing means towards reducing medical costs, there would have to be multiple substantial (expensive) studies done. There are a lot of factors to consider, including injuries that occur at the gym, how much going to the gym X amount of times for Y amount of time doing Z type of exercise would decrease the risk of T number of common and expensive to treat diseases. You'd need to select groups of thousands of people from all each age group in the US for each variable change, and you'd need a sizable control group. You'd also need to observe them for... maybe 50 years?

I think this sort of thing is ripe for abuse though. As 'just going' to the gym doesn't really mean anything. I could just swipe into the gym and then just leave, within all of 15-20 minutes.

I see where you're coming from here, though I do think it'd be better to support education for people into healthy eating and the importance of working out rather then subsidizing businesses into making more and more money. Education has a much better payoff for us rather then shareholders just wanting their company to lobby for government subsidizes.

I don't know what incentive you'd get out of abusing the system? If someone is handing out free gym memberships to all of their members and you grab one just to skew their data I suppose? There wouldn't be any direct financial benefit. I suppose you'd make your insurance company pay an extra $10 per month, maybe less as I'm sure the insurance companies could A. open their own gym facilities or B. negotiate some crazy low rates for signing up a million members.

I don't mean an incentive from people, I mean more of a benefit towards gyms just offering people food in order to just show up to the gym once a month (or something like this) So people aren't actually working out, the gym is just reciving money for people to get more food or something along these lines.

You can't get people into a gym by making it cheaper -- places like Planet Fitness (in the US) show that even if a gym is cheap people will just sign up and not go.
2079  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What do the US taxpayers get from military postings around the world? on: July 29, 2019, 08:11:32 PM
Yep - The US certainly gets deals from their interference. They created the relationship between Russia, and China. Washington forced the creation of a new monetary system to bring down the petro-dollar for example. The military Industrial complex certainly makes loads of money, but that goes to the Eton/Oxford elite puppet masters and the bankers, and not to the American people. The US has lost every war that Washington has dragged them into, and this has led to a lack of respect for their military. I don't see how that makes US citizens safer. We seem to be getting closer to a war being taken to the American mainland, and that is a result of Washington's support for terrorist countries, and their sanctions against resource rich countries.

What's this talk about a new monetary system in order to bring down the petrodollar?

The US hasn't lost every single war that Washington had 'dragged' the American people into. And the US military is respected inside of the US -- outside of the US, that's something you'd be able to debate based on where.

The US is the safest its been in a long time, as we haven't seen any large scale terrorist attacks on American soil since 9/11.
2080  Other / Politics & Society / Re: conspiracy of Area 51? on: July 29, 2019, 02:21:22 PM
it has been too long that i have heard about this mysterious place and a few Alien stories related to this area. But some of the people are saying that the government is planning something big for the future and they do not want to know anyone about this. that is why they have spread the rumors and stories and fake news about that area.

But still i want to know what you people think of this?

IMO this whole "Raid Area 51" thing is just a psy-op. It may very well have started just as a joke, but I think they are actively using it now to not only basically honey pot potential domestic threats, but also test to see how effectively they can get masses of idiots to rally and attack a designated target based on internet rumors and memes. IMO this is just a dry run for a more serious version of a similar scenario. They would be dumb to at least not study the potential for this kind of threat because it very well could be something that external forces or state actors use to sow domestic unrest. Never underestimate the power of dumb people in numbers.

I think the government already knew that they could get masses of idiots beyond many things. Now they want to test if they're able to truly get anyone to do anything, besides just screwing around and talking about it on the internet.

I don't know if they're going to use this against anyone, or what the deal is -- but I can see the potential just like you.
