2201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this statiscally possible in a lottery? on: October 03, 2022, 08:21:18 AM
You will find the probability of getting a single such a number is D/N = 6/55 , therefore the probability of getting such numbers six times in a row is = (6/55)6. Which is at around ~0,00000168.

Which means you have an about ~1 in 600k chance but its still possible.
Your math is wrong.

You have odds of 6/55 when drawing the first number only. Since the numbers drawn are not returned to the pool and cannot be drawn a second time, then after you have drawn the first number there are no longer 6 possibilities you can choose, but 5. Similarly, there are not 55 balls to choose from, but 54. So the odds for the second ball are not 6/55, but 5/54. The same logic applies for all future balls. So instead of (6/55)6, the actual equation will be (6/55)*(5/54)*(4/53)*(3/52)*(2/51)*(1/50). So the odds are ~1 in 29 million.

AH yes.

I completely forgot that lotteries do not use the same numbers over again. That was completely wrong math due to my forgetting of how lotteries work. Tongue Of course in that case you would be right. The odds of getting 6 numbers all divisible by 9 are way lower than expected and almost unrealistic to achieve. But that just again goes to prove that this was no accident. There definitely was something fishy going on here. Everything was premeditated and I am guessing some relative/friend who got the winnings numbers decided to tell another relative/friend. If they do a bit of analytic research on the network, they might find something interesting.
2202  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Privilege to teach Bitcoin in church on: October 03, 2022, 06:56:48 AM
A church? That might be somewhat unorthodox but I am not against it. In fact, although it seems like a strange, almost alien-like concept to teach about a financial instrument in a place of worship, it might be a good place to find Bitcoin believers who have good reputations within their own community. But then again, if your target is gullible people, then ironically, church might be just the right answer. (Just my perspective)

That being said, I do not want to sound negative. Especially since this is going to enrichen their lives instead of making them poorer. So all in all a good thing. I am sure that they will spread the word among more and more people! Good job! Bitcoin helps people regardless of their beliefs or social/financial standing in the world.
2203  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to choose an online casino? on: October 03, 2022, 06:20:13 AM
...

Actually I would not find it too shocking if competitors would pay other people to post disparaging remarks on other casinos if it was compulsory to gain market share. It just doesn't make much sense now because there's a wide range of casinos to choose from, whom each have their own market share, so it would seem like a labor intensive task to begin disinformation campaigns about other companies and plaguing review sites with a bunch of made up stories. Could've been a viable strategy back in the day I suppose, there weren't a lot of platforms out there. I remember when PrimeDice was one of the only legitimate and reputable BTC dice platforms out there. Now, of course, there's many.

Yes that is a possibility. However they would be risking getting caught doing an illegal act. And that would completely ruin their business. No matter how careful they are, everyone slips up at some point and somebody talks or points a finger and tada! Caught and in jail (or paying a lot of money).

Not sure anyone would risk doing something like hiring individuals for incentivized libel/slander.

But even then the casino in question, if they were a good casino, would quickly be able to dismiss rumors and keep its good name clean. Furthermore as you say, its quite a labor intensive task, therefore I doubt anyone would want to go that far to cause minimal damage with maximum legal risk.  Thats why I rather do my research by searching for negative reviews about casinos/products/services/people.
2204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this statiscally possible in a lottery? on: October 03, 2022, 05:24:49 AM
Yesterday, many people were surprised on the result of our lottery. The number that came out were are all divisible by nine. There are many speculations now that the lottery is rigged and the result was already fixed. It's just hard to believe that since they always do live draw to show transparency about the result. What do you think? Is this really possible in lottery?

Well lets see what the mathematics have to say about that...

Since we have a one or two digit answer, we can safely assume that there is a set of integers from 1-55 which are also divisible by 9.

Let D={n|n ∈ N : (n = positive integer up to a maximum possible number of 55 which is also divisible by 9.)}
You will find the probability of getting a single such a number is D/N = 6/55 , therefore the probability of getting such numbers six times in a row is = (6/55)6. Which is at around ~0,00000168.

Which means you have an about ~1 in 600k chance but its still possible.

One might say that people are freaking out over a cool coincidence. But 433 winners?. Oh cmon. Someone spilled the winning numbers, it seems like.
2205  Economy / Gambling / Re: How is your casino profile looks like? on: October 02, 2022, 02:44:44 AM
Not sure if everyone's comfortable sharing their wagering stats. Scammers lurking to fish for more info and that's how I got scammed before.

^THIS

This is exactly the reason why I was going to post that this was a dumb thread. OP and some other people here have absolutely no concept of OPSEC and then after a few weeks we see them in a different topic, crying about getting scammed.

If you were to ask me, I would make sharing this kind of private information banned by this sub-forum.

Who knows, OP himself might be fishing for data that others are stupidly providing him/her. I really do not recommend anyone post such private information like: Which online gambling casino they play at, how much they have won, what games they play, their average winnings etc.

Very bad OPSEC, people!

The President of KAZAKHSTAN said that they will be ready to legalize Bitcoin and crypto transactions if there is more demand from its citizens for it. This is a very good thing because considering KAZAKHSTAN is a country located in the Central Asian region and is also very prosperous in its economy. Hopefully in the near future more people can use Bitcoin and crypto transactions so that they can request legalization from the president for Bitcoin and crypto transactions in the country.

Of course, Kazakhstan is a rapidly developing country with a very great potential, and now they are discussing the legalization of crypto, but at the same time they complicate the work of the miners. Back in February of this year, it was proposed to raise electricity prices for miners and later it was nevertheless implemented: source.

Tokayev is not against legalizing the cryptocurrency and is also not against the work of miners on the territory of Kazakhstan, but he will not miss the opportunity to make money from this.

Exactly. The "leaders" of Kazakhstan have been stealing from their people for decades.
2207  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling, tourism and legal gambling age for gamblers around the world. on: September 30, 2022, 08:32:24 PM
I would be extra careful with gambling in foreign countries. There are always people looking to screw over tourists in the most heinous fashions possible. And I do not only mean scammers and crooks, but also the government and regulatory bodies. Although also calling them crooks is not too far from the actual truth. There is a lot of illegal gambling in some asian countries which do not really care about your age or whether you are treated fairly. In most Europeans countries the gambling is quite bland due to the fact that its been over-regulated to death. So for example, in Germany you will find it hard to play the same kind of games as in Las Vegas, for example. So I do not recommend gambling in Europe.
2208  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos Exclusion of Chicken Invaders: the Xmas version (My favourite) on: September 30, 2022, 07:48:46 PM
Chicken Invaders looks and sounds a lot like the game "Alien Invaders" and by a single look I can see thats its based on the same, shoot-em-up concept. Its a skill-based game so I am not really sure as to how this pertains to the world of gambling? I doubt a single casino has this game except for the one casino you seem to remember? Either way why not just play the original space invaders without gambling? Its just as fun if not even more fun due to originality?

I wonder whats so special about the xmas version?  Roll Eyes

Online gambling casinos won't go near skill based games due to their unpredictability and the fact they can be easily exploited. Someone could code a program based on an algorithm which beats the skill-based game everytime. How do you avoid such exploiters?
2209  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Beware of new SCAM on google play! SoBit: Bitcoin wallet on: September 30, 2022, 07:36:54 PM
just lost btc through a scam wallet on google play market. if you type in 'bitcoin wallet'. you'll see SoBit: Bitcoin Wallet. it has 5 star rating & it would be first or second on the list. beware. once you send funds to it, it sends out btc somewhere else after confirmation. i couldnt believe it at first but then after going through 1 star reviews i realised i wasnt the only one. makes me wonder how can google allow this scam to be on top?

This sound quite serious. You might want to bring forth a few details of exactly what happened as well as posting the evidence that you have. The best effect on investigating sobit would be if you posted this thread in scam accusations sub-forum here on Bitcointalk: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0

The people on that board might be able to help you out or you might find a few comrades who have had the same experience as you with the SoBit Bitcoin wallet.

Personally, I would not trust any Bitcoin or Altcoin wallet which does not have the full approval of Bitcointalk. I would also do my own research (at least on google search) whether or not someone distrusts said wallet.
2210  Economy / Gambling / Re: BC.Game-🔴🔴🔴BET RED IN CRASH!🔴🔴🔴 Find More Unique Games! on: September 30, 2022, 05:50:39 PM
Have 677 refs. Have cashed out multible times.

Rewards for most things on the site is being adjusted down (ref bonus, wheel etc).

But still I will say well paid.

That sounds like a lot of hard work. To be able to get around 677 referrals is quite the talent. How did you manage that? Are you perhaps an Influencer with a large Fan Base/follower-base? Or are these 677 referrals all over the span of a long time period?

Either way, impressive work! Gotta give credit where credit is due!

If you do not mind us asking, how much reward did those 677 referrals bring you? Even if you get a few dollars each, thats nothing to scoff at. And if you get repeat profits you could make a career out of referrals...

BC.GAME seems interesting, never have tried it out before but I do not mind trying new things. Their reputation also seems squeaky clean. Anyone have some recommendations for me, for starters?
2211  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: buying low and selling high on: September 29, 2022, 09:59:09 PM
is using spot trading to buy low and sell high for few dollars a good practice? a close relative said he was able to grow his crypto portfolio this way, is this a good practice?

Yes but instead of selling, I would rather hodl. And I would DCA (Dollar Cost Average) my dip-buying funds and thereby incrementally making money while not taking losses. I find thats the best complimentary strategy to implement into your broader trading strategy. As far the broader trading strategy goes, you would need to study on technical analysis and fundamental analysis. Thats the minimum. After that you still need to get a feel for the market and learn to never panic-sell (selling on emotion)...

Also important advice: do not listen to anyone except yourself. Don't let the signals of others become your signals. It will screw up your trading strategy.
2212  Other / Archival / Re: Don't worry, bitcoin is cyclical on: September 29, 2022, 08:14:43 PM
If people just adhered to their own hodl strategy and did not fall victim to the temptations of emotional thinking and decision making, we would all be so much richer right now. But alas, the fact remains that people are only humans and will continue to make mistakes that they should know better than to make, is nothing surprising. Thanks for the motivational thread on why you should not sell, especially panic-sell. I imagine threads like these do stop many noobies from making mistakes during volatile events like dips (corrections).  Once we see Bitcoin adopted by the world and once every single Satoshi has been mined (or at least close to almost mined), we will hopefully see lower volatility and less whale market manipulation.
2213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Free, community-driven Bitcoin education project on: September 29, 2022, 07:48:53 PM
Its very nice to hear that you have put in so much work into what you believe in! I think however, if you were to move this post to the Project Development subforum, then you would get more hints, tips and advice on your project than you would posting this in the Bitcoin Discussion subforum.
Here is the link to the mentioned PD subforum: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=12.0

You will find many capable and extremely professional developers who have walked the path that you wish to walk. I suggest crowdsourcing your knowledge a bit from them.

If you need help navigating the forum, you can just ask here on this thread or https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=help.

2214  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Warning - Stay Away - Cyber.bet refuses to pay commission on: September 29, 2022, 06:17:14 PM
I would have to agree with the other posters in this thread, unfortunately. You should have done some minimal amount of research. Had you done so then you would know that Cyber.Bet already has quite a bad reputation. It would have taken you 2 seconds to google the words "cyber.bet" and "scam". The first search result would have yielded bitcointalk and it would have linked to the scam reputation it has built for itself on this forum.

I see such topics and things almost everday on the gambling subforum and 99% of it could have been avoided with a simple 5 minute research on the online gambling casino in question. Next time DYOR. I doubt they will give you the money. Best to move on.
2215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you change your mind on gambling ? on: September 29, 2022, 04:45:11 PM
You are a core gambler,I mean you have a reserved or particular time that you use in gambling everyday, just the way some of us are,we even add gambling expenses to our monthly budget because we gamble to entertain ourselves.
A new government came into power, and enacted a law that nobody should gamble anymore in the country i.e gambling becomes illegal. Will you just behave yourself and abide to this new law that is depriving you from having fun as a good citizen ? or will you ignore the law and keep on gambling since there are online casinos that you can gamble secretly with your mobile phones with out no one knowing ?

Everyone has their own subjective view on things like gambling or obeying the government. I for example do not care at all about obeying the government but I understand that some laws and regulations have a good reason for existing. So I obey that "peaceful and productive order of things". Thats not the same as to obey the authorities. As far as gambling goes, I would not care about any legal or illegal restrictions on something that I enjoy doing. If my country were to ban gambling, I would simply find another way to gamble. Unless there is a very good reason for banning gambling and not just moral-high-road politics.
2216  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Is Faucetpay paying bigger withdrawals? on: September 29, 2022, 03:13:56 PM
Hey everyone,

i just stumbled across the wager races held on faucetpay.io (micropayment wallet & faucet site).

They have a daily $1,710 wager race in which the top 10 most wagered user will receive a prize according to their position.

I want to play there and hunt the races, but im unsure if they are paying bigger amounts, as i know they are legit in the way of paying smaller (few $) withdrawals.

The first place even gets $1,000 and i was wondering if they actually pay the users who gets first position, maybe you have some experience with faucetpay and bigger withdrawals. Smiley

i would appreciate your opinion & experience in the comments.

Faucet collection and gambling sounds like an interesting marketing approach to keeping users on your website. Keep them long enough and they might start gambling. Especially if you put in a minimum withdrawal limit. So they would basically have to keep coming back to your site to earn enough to redeem their earnings. Thats pretty genius to relate this to gambling. Those two things compliment each other quite well.

As far as the website, I have never used it before but it seems legit to me. They have active social media and there is nothing sketchy about the site.
2217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Parents And Their Children In Gambling.. on: September 28, 2022, 09:31:26 PM

What do you make out of this story, should we really allow our children to live such a lifestyle like gambling and night clubbing, most especially, when they are still under aged?

Let's discuss about this..

I do not think we should let children live a life like this because to me, and to a lot of people, this would constitute mental abuse of children. Their brains are not developed yet and they need adults who teach them good from bad, right from wrong. The last thing they need is to grow up around gambling and night clubbing. They will act differently than the other children and might become outcasts which will have very damaging effects on their adult years.

Kids need to have  a childhood. And to be around kids their age. Thats really important. If the gambling/night-clubbing parents are social outcasts, this can reflect very negatively on the child's development as well.

Except bitcoin...

you surely have lost some power as a reliant contra indicator recently..  I hope you are doing better this time

I keep saying that you are. If we were to follow an indicator which tells people to "buy now" every time a certain llama posted something bearish or anti-Bitcoin in WO, then we would have made a huge ROI by now.

Which to me, is just fucking magical.

Good ol' Pitago.

Once this backlog is done being worked through and those coins are dumped on exchanges, the short term panic should be over.

And then the long term panic sets in. I see people spamming something like "Keep Off Exchanges!" on social media. Even our dear Do Kwon also has 3k Bitcoin to move around before he goes to jail. Just in case his new wallet seeds get "lost".

2220  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Reputation on: September 27, 2022, 07:34:18 PM
You're a professional like a lawyer or a teacher in a respected university, will it harm your reputation if people around you or your students discover that you are into gambling, you're not really a compulsive gambler but gamble for entertainment, how will you explain this to people around you or will you explain to protect your reputation or just ignore them.

I doubt that somebodies reputation cannot be mended. If anything we don't live in some asian country where "face" is the most important thing in the world. Everybody makes mistakes and its completely fine that they do. But whenever a doctor makes the same mistakes we forget he is human and instead tend to think he has now become a lesser being. Someone not to be trusted. Which has a bit of truth to it. But depends on the situation.

I would take a gambling doctor over a doctor with a reputation of making many wrong diagnoses. Although I would be careful with my money around a gambling doctor. He might try to sell you unnecessary medicine or prescribe unnecessary treatments to make some money.
