This morning a non-bitcoin friend sent me this video clip http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4xueqvdb-8 & as a great believed in synchronicity I was interested to see if it will reflect in the bitcoin price charts. It's a scene about a bear cub that gets stalked, hunted, mauled by a big cat but is then rescued by a really large bear.

If someone were to eat the bids building up at 12 & leave a big ask there that to me would reflect the clip nicely imo, do I think it will happen - probably not quite like that but I'm pretty sure that there is one very big grizzly out there watching & waiting for his moment.

Disclaimer: all my liquid coins are in USD atm.
2244  Economy / Speculation / Re: [SHARE] Your Personal Analysis (only post with pictures) on: September 28, 2012, 09:04:12 AM
An attempt to cancel out all the pirate noise & just assume that there has been a general increase of interest in bitcoin since June & that it will continue along those lines

pic

Why would general interest growth be a linear process?

No reason that it has to be, but any move over the blue line would show increasing interest & a move bellow the red line a fall off in interest or profit taking, with a price around the yellow line showing a similar linear growth that's being going on for nearly 4 months now if the pirate noise is ignored.

This is probably a very naive way of looking at the trend but maybe the sort of reasoning some others may follow instinctively especially if they're not in to serious TA, I'm interested in how we continue to travel within that approx 1 btc rising band & if it is really a general trend or will it break down (or up) soon, just my personal analysis (or one of them) of what may be going on atm. I'll update it in about a months time if we're still within the band.

Edit to add: For contrast here's an example of bitcoin exponential growth when ignoring the bubbles, particularly in mid 2011. (taken from http://ieet.org/index.php/IEET/more/koch20120927)

This is perhaps irrelevant, I am 100% non techy, when I did try to log in the site seemed to want to connect to some port of mine which I denied, maybe it's just normal & harmless but I don't remember it trying to do this before, pse excuse my newbness of what that may be about or nothing , after it went to 504 timed out.

5 days ago I applied to enable ACH withdrawals for my account, I sent my bank details & ID, but so far have received no acknowledgement or response, I haven't deposited any funds as yet or started trading as I wanted this to be in place first - along with smooth running of the site & evidence that all would now be likely well to trust funds here, also site is down for me.

Astrology wise tomorrow is rough & Saturday is dire with a full moon to top it all off on Sunday, I will be amazed if we don't have a weekend of doom - but hey it's bitcoin & manipulations rules Grin

Deposit of 300 btc.

Deposit made on: 2012-07-14

Weekly interest rate: 0% (was 1.9%)

Weekly or compound interest: Compound

Current total (deposit + interest earned): 342.24770357 btc

My deposit is number 432, was due to be re-payed on the 8th of September, as these seem to be being re-payed with the lowest deposits first rather than in date due order I guess that my 300 BTC is well down the queue - has everyone who deposited less than 24 BTC been refunded as yet?

I also bought 10 single coins & paid for them instantly in coins using the seller's laptop & my Yubi keys - just so easy & efficient.
Do you have OTC? I can give you a rating for this one Wink

Hi, many thanks & for the coins, I tried again to get on OTC & this time got as far as installing the GPG tool & creating a key but then it says send key failed, error = 0 & I can't send it to keyserver either, I just have the sec line & not uid or sub so I don't think that I can use it, the info on it shows the Key ID & Fingerprint which I guess is the public & private key but I think I will have to try again with someone who can walk me through it in person. I allowed it to connect with everything it asked for on my Mac but am a tech newb.

Edit: It may be not working because I have 2FA on my gmail & haven't set that up to be working with the mail app, in the past it failed & was a pain to try & find out how to get that working again.

Edit 2: OK I managed to get 2FA working for my mail & have been able to send an encrypted & signed email with my PGP key which I've registered on OTC with my IRC nick: Otoh - but I haven't worked out how to list things yet & not sure if I registered correctly as yet.

Edit 3: OK finally I think that I got registered correctly & can now list stuff & buy etc: http://bitcoin-otc.com/viewratingdetail.php?nick=Otoh

Bitcoin's horoscope for Monday September 24, 2012

Remember how you used to feel at school when it got to the end of term and the holidays were coming up? Nothing mattered quite so much. Your thoughts were already starting to fly far away from the stresses and strains of the classroom and the playground. A big change was in the offing and this was making you feel justifiably excited. It's appropriate now, to allow a similar mood to lift your spirits. You're so very near to a major turning point in your personal fortunes. Take today's troubles with a pinch of salt.

Saturn now at the mid heaven of your chart teaches you that short cuts won't work for you at the moment. You have recently learned that lesson through your hard experience. Your success when it does come will be built on your really solid preparations. Heavy responsibilities may be weighing you down just now, but this can also be a time of promotion and recognition. You will soon reap what you have sown in previous years.

Bitcoin's Weekly Outlook from 24th September

The Sun is in your chart area which rules your career so you will be more ambitious this week. You are keen to be noticed and aiming for a more prominent position. Recently you may have been forcing yourself into situations that basically aren't good for you. Now you have got to stand up for yourself more. New experiences will give you insights into the world. This time is all about getting rid of the old and bringing in the new.

Transits are shown as the outer green symbols moving round anti-clockwise, here's the next one of interest when Venus transits/conjuncts Bitcoin's natal Saturn on the 22nd of October 2012
