3041  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid-19 vaccination becoming a criteria to live in the world on: September 11, 2021, 04:02:24 PM
I now see a situation that the world is changing and is coming to a level where if you don't have a covid-19 vaccination clearence or means to verify that you have been vaccinated or have received the latest jab of the vaccine, you won't be allowed to buy or sell. I had in my mind that face mask was going to play this "devil's advocate" but no, the vaccination is getting serious with huge restrictions and therefore looking like it is the devil's advocate.

The government cannot compel its citizens to get vaccinated as it will constitute involuntary servitude, but the former can impose restrictions that would somehow force its citizens to get vaccinated. For example, they could limit the movement of people who are not vaccinated by requiring malls or any other services to show their vaccine cards as proof.

Remember that this pandemic has moved the entire world due to impact of COVID in our health. If the people are against getting vaccinated, they are actually going against Science itself. That is why, the priority of the government would always be our health as this would also impact an economic crisis in the country.
3042  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fate or lack of control - Gambling on: September 11, 2021, 10:49:19 AM
If we destine to lose let's accept but if we  win it's a good luck ,an we all know in gambling wether you win or you will lose and that would be defend in the fate of your the game. Having no control or lack of control it can leads you nothing cause a person who greed to win and if not responsible to play in the gambling and all of the labored will be gone.
Well, most of the time the destiny was to lose and it's an acceptable matter in the first place. That's the thing most gamblers lack and the fact is even people who aren't new will still fall on that behavior - lack of control.

I think few gamblers only, because if we believe most gambler has that kind of problem, then probably gambling should not exist as it's not good for the majority of people. The fact that gambling sites are still profitable is because addiction is just a small problem and it's happening to some people only, of course, only those who are not responsible.

I do think we can all agree that the root cause of any type of addiction- is lack of self-control and discipline.

The problem with gambling is that it revolves the expenditure of funds on a daily basis. You cannot engage into gambling if a person does not have the necessary capital to do so. What makes it more appealing is that sense of hope of hitting the jackpot that may potentially double or triple your initial bet.

As someone who experienced the other side of the spectrum, having a good support system is essential in combating addiction. Knowing that everyone or your peers are supportive of helping you is a big factor that made me changed my life for the better.
3043  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING: Skill-based vs. Chance-based on: September 10, 2021, 05:43:12 PM
I think everyone in this thread would agree that it depends on which game because there are some that's skill based like horse race, probability based like dice, and a bit of both like poker or blackjack.

From the word itself, "gambling" is a game of chance. But, there are some games that can at least increase the odds on your favor. For example, while you cannot absolutely predict the pool of cards in poker, you may have a vague assumption of the hands of your opponents depending on their facial expression and other different factors. While the game is based on luck, you may increase your chances of winning by adding that extra bit of edge on your favor.

But from its nature, gambling is always chance-based. Even if you have all the algorithm prepared, one cannot just predict 100% the odds.
3044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advice on honest earning on: September 10, 2021, 05:24:59 PM
You have a variety of options actually. As another user has pointed out, you can offer services under the marketplace if you possess the necessary skills needed for a project. For example, there are users who offer signature designing, web development, or other services and they look for business owners to hire them.

If you do not possess or have any experience with the above-mentioned examples, assuming from your post, you can participate also in campaign signatures. You are very coherent and concise on your english. I do also assume that you are knowledgeable about cryptocurrencies so this would be a relatively easier job for you to rank-up.
3045  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Setting up a gambling business on: September 10, 2021, 03:51:27 PM
Am beginning to pick interest in gambling but I don't have any computer code knowledge but will love to operate a gambling site and will like to get some advice from the members of this forum, I have the capital to run the business until it starts making profits.

Before you setup an online gambling website, I highly suggest that you check your current laws on your country about gambling. If the law prohibits from operating such, then you already failed the first step. In addition, if the laws of your country allow you, then you should hire someone who is knowledgeable on that field. Though you may have the necessary capital, it is relatively difficult to look for people who are also knowledgeable about coding, etc.

Another thing, even if you do have the capital, you should do your research about the requirements needed.
3046  Economy / Economics / Re: Where to invest my 10,000 USD on: September 09, 2021, 05:39:54 PM
I recently got 10,000 USD after my FD (Fixed deposit) matured and now i want to invest all those in the crypto world as the returns are best here.
Please suggest me different places where i can invest these 10,000 USD in the crypto currency world as i never done big investement in crypto before so please give me some ideas.

I highly advise you to diversify your investments by allocating them into stocks and cryptocurrencies simultaneously.

You have to decide on which investment instrument you want to invest majority of your money. If you plan on receiving short-term gains, then you may want to invest into BTC since their value is highly volatile. If you plan also on investing on long-term, I do suggest purchasing some stocks on blue chip companies or you could also buy BTCs and HODL them until the next fork (3-4 years from now).
3047  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: F1 Formula Sports Racing - Sportsbet.io promotions & discussion thread on: September 09, 2021, 05:04:54 PM
I am more curious who will fill the "missing spot" (left by Russel). Will it be Alex Albon or will it be somebody else? That part may be a bit complicated...

Yup, your prediction was correct! Alex Albon did fill the spot as he signed the deal for Williams! To be honest, I am also happy for Albon for having the opportunity to race in a Williams car. His role in Redbull was similar as of Valterri's role in Mercedes. I do hope that he gets the spotlight he deserves in Williams, do an inferior car compared to Redbull.

Nevertheless, I am excited to see the changes in 2022 in the F1 car as this will put every team on an unfamiliar territory with all the innovations and ideas that they will integrate on the new design.
3048  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Uk most deprived areas have the Highest number of gambling outlets. on: September 06, 2021, 05:38:18 PM
Ohh this is actually very harmful to the society long-term. When you target a specific group of people towards an activity which is highly addicting, it only means one thing- profit for the business owners. Now, if you talk about the unprivileged sector of society, this may not only harm their livelihood but this would cascade into much more bigger problem in the future.

I do hope that the government can somehow intervene in this process by implementing a higher tax rates on these business establishments.
3049  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Signature Campaigns / bounty for Newbies on: September 06, 2021, 05:02:45 PM
I was looking at the Signature Campaigns and bounty for Newbies but couldn't find much option.

What are the options for the newbies here on the forum ?

Like what most have already mentioned, newbies cannot participate into bounty/signature campaigns since such accounts cannot wear signatures on their profiles. The lowest ranking eligible to participate into campaign signatures are "Jr. Members" but there seems to be few campaigns that accept such rank due to high transaction fees garnered. That is why, mostly, campaigns accept only "Full Members to Hero/Legendary Ranks" in order to maximize exposure and payments.

If you joined this forum primarily to earn, it is better to change your mindset already. Focus on improving your post quality so that merits would be the one chasing your account.
3050  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do not make curiosity to people around you while you are playing gambling. on: September 06, 2021, 04:46:40 PM
I am playing alone in my room and I don't go outside just to gamble. There's that much protocol because of the pandemic and it's more handy and effective to be careful to gamble online and even if without someone watching me, I'm good with that setup. Those who are free to gamble without any bad effect with their relationship to their wives and parents, then you guys are lucky because they are open to you as you gamble but not all families have that type of acceptance and openness towards gambling.

On the last sentence you pointed out, gambling is not perse bad. It only becomes harmful if the user spends most of the savings gambling instead of fulfilling their daily/monthly obligations to the family. I remember, my Aunt used to date this gamer guy who was so addicted into playing online games to the point that he allocated most of his savings into buying in-game items and cosmetics.

Like what most have mentioned, creating a safe and healthy environment to each family is essential especially if you have kids to raise. They see their parents as "role-models" and the last thing that you want is for them to follow your footsteps in a negative way.
3051  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Give me some investment advice on: September 06, 2021, 04:15:09 PM
I will use about 80%(About $2000 per day.) of my funds every day to invest in cryptocurrencies.

Can you give your suggestions? For example, 20% btc futures, 20% altcoin, 60% btc spot.

And how are your funds allocated?

My investments are diversified into 80% BTC and 20% into stocks. I would advise against trading especially if you are a beginner on that craft. Such activity requires tremendous amount of skill, experience, and knowledge on the market as the slightest increase/decrease could either make or break your capital. I would advise for you to invest long-term for BTC and wait until the next fork before you cash them out.

Though if you want to focus on short-term gains, I would suggest that you sell your BTCs once it reaches the price higher from what you acquired them in price.
3052  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The use of Bitcoin as a local currency! on: September 06, 2021, 03:53:36 PM
Everyone on the forum knows what Bitcoin is. We already know that many countries have removed this currency from the ban. I mean, will all the nations of the world use Bitcoin as a currency? How important will it be? It will not go to the good side to the bad side?I want to know the opinion-

I think you are missing a very important detail: BTC is intangible.

With this in mind, imagine having to transact everything digitally- this would put underdeveloped and developing countries at a prejudice since most do not even have access to basic education and food. This would put developed countries at the pedestal (makes them richer) and poor countries poorer! Though the idea may be implemented, I do not see it happening in the near future.
3053  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Compound Interest on: September 06, 2021, 03:29:03 PM
I remember that there is a saying about compound interest that "money makes money; and the money that earns the money, makes money!" 1 Like what most have mentioned, the mechanism of compound interest relies on the time you started investing. Obviously, the earlier you started investing using compound interest, the greater the returns maybe like 20-30 years from now or from the moment you retire.

Cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin to be specific) is a currency which is very volatile in its nature. When you observe its price history, one would see a upwards trend ever since its creation. Though there are some risks associated in investing into volatile investments, the returns are faster compared to your traditional bank investments.

So the bottomline is, choose your battles and timing. Invest on the right time and make sure that you would invest the value that you are willing to lose!

Have you guys seen the latest news about Valterri Bottas? It seems that he will join Alfa Romeo this 2022 and his seat will be replaced by George Russel! This is actually some great news considering that the skills and technique of Bottas is somehow hampered and contained due to the influence of Hamilton. Now that he is in Alfa Romeo, he can actually race on his own without worrying too much about his teammate!

As for George Russel, though many have argued that he doesn't deserve the seat on Mercedes, I am still happy for him as he is now on a superior car. I just really hope that his seat in Mercedes won't be another Rosberg vs Hamilton feud where they both clashed as teammates.

3055  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Friend borrowed 4 digits money from me, saying wait until BTC rises on: September 05, 2021, 04:58:32 PM
My question would be: does he obviously hiding a lot of earnings from me in day trading, that he would do from Mars to December? Or is he legit to say he is just waiting all this time the good time to sell BTC when it will be a good time(with a new laptop just for crypto that he bought, not a expensive one, but anyway)

I can't answer your question and provide an absolute answer for it but I can just speculate on to the existence of the funds you let him borrowed.

First things first, profiting in day trading is relatively difficult. As for newbies, there has been study published that around 97% of newbie day traders lose their money in the process and the remaining 3% earn as much as a bank teller. Though I am giving the benefit of the doubt to your friend (assuming that he is an expert on this field), then he probably made some profit out of the funds you provided.

Another thing, if your friend tells you that he's waiting 'until the price of BTC rises' can have multiple interpretations. The best course of action to do here is to ask for actual receipts and pictures of your fund.
3056  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESPN into a betting deal worth 3 billion dollars $$$ on: September 05, 2021, 04:05:40 PM
ESPN has reportedly been losing subscribers and revenue. They need a to secure new sources of income if they're to stay relevant. It would seem they've chosen to tap the gambling industry as the logical source.

Ahh yes, at the moment of desperation for revenue, tap the gambling industry and expect to make millions! Jokes aside, I do agree with you. In order to stay relevant at the scene, ESPN has to explore its options by considering crypto casinos in the near future as a new revenue source.

Personally, this impact would be huge at online gambling casinos as more and more big names are starting to invest/create opportunities in this avenue. Though the impact might be felt in the near future, the race has already started so it would be better to take it as an opportunity.
3057  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or altcoins on: September 05, 2021, 03:16:00 PM
It actually depends on your goal as an investor. Generally, BTCs are more volatile compared to other altcoins due to its price dominance on the market. With lots of influence affecting its price, some people take advantage of it by short or long-term investment. But personally, I would suggest diversifying your investments by investing into both.

As someone who invested to BTC, I prefer to invest them long term due to the potential forks that will happen 3-4 years from now. Though the top 10 altcoins in the market somehow follow the trend of BTC, I would still suggest investing on the latter.
3058  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do not make curiosity to people around you while you are playing gambling. on: September 05, 2021, 01:29:38 PM
You can play gambling, especially if you play online gambling but we never know if what we did in gambling can attract people beside us to follow us playing gambling without knowing. Always look around you before you spend your free time playing gambling and not making others curious about what you did.

So how are you playing gambling? Did you play alone in your rooms or in your home or in the public area or do you have a special room just to spend your time to playing gambling?

I think my gambling habits are heavily influenced by my dad and my grand father. When I was a kid, we used to own a cock farm for fighting in tournaments. My grand father has this huge trophy displayed on our cabinet and my dad followed then his footsteps on continuing his legacy. Currently, I stopped gambling but being exposed at an earl age where you see your family gambling had made me thinking if it was the 'normal thing' to do.

When I first incurred my loss while betting on some games, that's when I realized that I should stop from this habit, which ultimately lead me to quit gambling completely.
3059  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be more effective in the future on: September 05, 2021, 07:18:37 AM
The government banned bitcoin because of its uncontrollable nature. But that's not an excuse..because bitcoin is better that way. Give freedom to its users without any government intervention. It's worth it if bitcoin can be better in the future.
true as you said, indeed bitcoin has proven to be feasible for the future, because there is no government intervention and no third party interferes in bitcoin, we can do whatever we want, with the bitcoins that we have, maybe that's the reason why bitcoin is better for the future..

What the government wants is control over all of the transactions happening in their respective countries. If there is something that is beyond their control or reach, they would classify it as a potential risk to their power of control. That is why, there are countries that prohibit the transaction of BTCs or cryptocurrencies in their country.

While this may be happening to some, other countries see the beneficial of the blockchain technology in implementing it as an alternative mode of payment.
3060  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin assets cannot be blocked - is that helping terrorists? on: September 04, 2021, 06:09:33 PM
While most of the illegal activities in the world take place in USD and I am far from saying that bitcoin is actually worse than any other asset on that regard, I have read many news about the American withdrawal from Afghanistan and how the US government froze some billions of USD belonging to the previous government or perhaps (debatable) to the country itself. Obviously, this could not have happened if those assets were held in bitcoin or other crypto. It seems that not everything is good in self-sovereignty?

BTW, this is not a statement saying that Taliban are terrorist, just wondering about some other cases in which states were clearly linked to terror.

While I do understand that BTCs were somehow linked or associated in the past as an avenue to purchase prohibited or contraband items, I think this is not the case this time in Afghanistan. With the country being somehow frozen with their assets, they lack the necessary stronghold and infrastructure to support a widespread implementation of BTCs on their country.

Money is indeed power- one with the most resources can definitely take the tide of the battle. But in this case where the Taliban has control of the country, their problem would be funding (though China has expressed their terms into helping them).
