742  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: October 23, 2013, 04:36:27 PM
I made a mistake while re-arranging funds and wrongly sent 100 BTC extra to a player's cashout address. I don't know if anyone is keeping track, but that's a lot of value these days.

Fortunately, the player was "Nek" on Seals and on Bitcointalk. I was able to get in touch and he has returned the funds. We are extremely grateful for his help and honesty. As much as I love our players, I don't think it would always work out so well. Nek is definitely a good guy.

Thank you for your kind words! I am glad that I could help. It was the right thing to do. Mistakes happen all the time, but they should not have to be disastrous. Not when you know what is the right thing to do to correct them.

Nevertheless I'm still lucky because FreeMoney and SealsWithClubs, besides their grateful and kind words that I deeply appreciate, rewarded me handsomely for the return and I am very pleased and I thank them.

I feel much better now than I would have if this situation ended up in any other way.

Hello,

[Note my obvious bias as the long time SealsWithClubs site pro & affiliate manager]

IMO there is no way that Satoshi Poker should get a rating higher than SealsWithClubs [4.5 satoshi vs. 4.4 SwC]  This really disappoints me because I thought that finally there was a "real" bitcoin gambling list that I could reference as a player.  Here is the quote:

"The player traffic experienced by Satoshi Poker is comparable to that of Seals With Clubs. During our tests of the site, we found that there were over 200 players online"

This is simply untrue and poor due diligence by BitcoinReviewer.  I understand the point of the project is to SEO the site and sell advertising.  It is a fine model, so long as they stick to their guns of "Honest Bitcoin Casino Reviews."  In this case, it was a simple trick from SP to display a large number of "connected" players similar to SwC on their website so anyone glancing at the site would think they are a major player and not a complete ghost town.  A quick view of http://www.pokerscout.com/ or a quick launch of both poker clients would have told the tale:

Both clients are sorted by # of players sitting.  SP has 1, single, solitary player waiting for micro-limit hold'em action.  SwC right now has over 100+ real money bitcoin poker players at 17 cash tables with 14 of those tables having more than 5 players.  Simply put, we are the only place for bitcoin poker action and there is no close 2nd place at this time.  You could play a wide range of limits and tournaments at SwC all day today or sit alone on SP.  I am extremely proud of the hard working team that makes SealsWithClubs.  Tireless hours are spent constantly improving the site and managing a large player base to provide low-rake bitcoin poker you can trust.  Our site started with Freemoney sitting alone at the SwC tables in 2011 waiting for anyone willing to play for bitcoins.  A small group of highly motivated humans have built the site starting from that one man's humble first step - so when I see reviews like this I am so angry that a small trick from a competitor has lead to gross misinformation being published.

Usually do not feel compelled to comment on such things, but this review site is extremely well designed and I think it will eventually rank high on google - so I could not stand idly by this time.

Mikon, can you consider to add/ 20chips 1BTC Guar deep/ on Saturday or Sunday at 4 pm.Run it 4 weeks and see if it catch up,It should help to expand peek hours that day and give players with smaller bankroll some tourney to look for.I don't think it will have much overlay if any,as a matter of fact I am willing to put up 1 BTC to help cover your looses
if I am wrong.

Done. Sunday 4pm ET, you better be there.

#listeningtocustomers

I am really irritated as well as having extreme tooth pain. Rearanged dental appointment so I could play in 2.5krill. I signed up fo both previous to running the 2.5 and 1.25 and played a 10 after. I zonked out from novakaine and was logged out when I woke up 10 after 2pm.  I logged back in and not seated for 2.5. This is pretty aggrevating and has happened to me once before. I clicked and saw I was registered for 2.5 then went back and registered for 1.25 as that one 2 hours later.  Then when went back to look wasn't even registerd for 1.25. NIce to rearane my schedule and not be seated.

THis has happened once before. Don't know if getting logged out had anything to do with it people can't always sit at computer 24 seven bathroom phone etc.

without drilling you on the spelling, as you seem to be on prescribed drugs for your tooth ailments, let me say that rules must be in place so players don't abuse the krill-rolls.  There was an issue in the past with players registering far in advance not wanting to miss free equity and then forgetting leading to many tables of sit-outs.  We will keep tweaking rules so frequent players like yourself don't get shut out.

I think it was unfortunate idea introduce essentially the same tourney 1 hour before successful / Deep 3k Guarantee /.Pick one.

MTT schedule is a work in progress.  Thanks for your input, at this stage we are always tweaking the schedule.

but one staple of that schedule has always been the...

BIG BTC

Thanks! They turned out really well. Zippo does an outstanding job on the printing. I don't know what it's called, but the printing is raised a bit and has a really nice feel.

My original idea was to create a series of these and trade them for mining equipment as the difficulty increases. More for fun than anything else.

I would definitely like to get one of these off you.  Would you be willing to ship, sell?

Sure. The custom printing and low qty make these a bit more expensive than the zippos you find at truck stops  Grin

I'll sell and ship it for .38 btc

Cheers!

I too would like one of these fine devices.  PM sent.

email admin at sealswithclubs dot eu for all game issues including connectivity.   We have a multi-year history of always making things right, no matter how big or small.

Dang terrorists found the server safe house

Later reports were that it was not an attack, some hiccup in the system of tubes

2.17 is the tits well done Grin I finally have sound on the client

tyvm.  I spent most of last week trying to code that in there real good.

Okay:  some preliminary gripes, concerning the Mac version.  Most of them besides the first are minor stuff.

  • As noted earlier, there is no 32 bit version, so many of the Macs still in use will be unable to use it.
  • Player notes function not working.
  • The slider is virtually useless, because the slightest drag turns the bet into an enormous bet.  The only way to make a specific bet is to type it in.  There is no way to increment it by units of one big blind.  Even the web client could increment by units, like 20, 40, 60, 80, 100, etc. by clicking to the right of the slider.
  • When you've folded your hand, you can no longer look at the cards you used to have by mousing over your avatar.  This isn't really useful anyway, but it gives you a chance to rabbit-hunt while waiting for the next hand.
  • The disconnect/reconnect feature still needs a little work.  However, just being able to detect when it's disconnected is a huge improvement.

all client issues or suggestions fire along to x at sealswithclubs dot eu

as our long time players have seen, SwC has been listening and implementing player suggestions since we started.  This is certain to continue, we greatly appreciate suggestions / bug reports.

1)  seems like 50ish ppl were able to be connected still

2)  early reports are DDoS attack

3)  we do not negotiate with terrorists and consider this, like the times before, to be a technical challenge and we won't sleep until we beat it.
755  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: October 15, 2013, 12:02:45 AM
Why is there always 0 registrations for the krill freerolls?  Huh

Also what is the average amount of players for each krill freeroll.

there are a bunch of krill-based freerolls requiring various krill levels and paying various btc's.  They are regg'd under your "my account" page and do not open for registration until a few hours before they pop off - that's why it's 0-regg'd until right before they go, and that rule is in place to help kill non-playing registrants

Bots are not allowed to play at Seals.
Thanks.  Seals should put this on their site somewhere.  Also, I want one of those groovy avatars, when's the next avatar promo?

On the Seals-faq page is probably good:

1)  we will put this in the FAQ section soon.  I thought it was generally understood that we do not allow them.  Furthermore, one day years in the future when our human-playing experience is so super-awesome we run out of desirable features, I want to make a "bots-only" area of SwC, and *really* see what you nerds can do, allow a human to play with the full knowledge they are playing vs. a bot.  IMO super-low-rake 10,000 hand bot v bot HU cash game matches.  Would be epic to watch.

2)  Groovy avatar promo MTTs are running weekly.  I think currently you have to win the Saturday 10k + we give Grindabit 2x per week to toss out in their sponsored MTTs.  Check there / SwC chat for exact details.
