741  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you cheat in gambling? on: June 22, 2023, 09:10:25 PM
Will you try a trick to win on casino game machines if you were told and it is a 100% working trick to cash out? Will you bet on fixed games if you get the tip early?
Have gone through most of the comments that are above me and most of them are claiming they won’t cheat any casino, but the funniest part is that most of them don’t really mean it, some of them are just saying it, it’s easier said than done, but when they are in the situation then then won’t even think about it twice. You shouldn’t just judge yourself too early till you are in the situation. How will you feel after gambling with all your money and you keep on losing and you are being introduced to a trick which is going to help you will back your money and some profit, just little people will be able to allow the money go without cheating.

Am sure some people which make comments on this thread will be looking for fixed matches, if you are looking for fixed matches it’s the same thing with cheating the casino, I don’t believe most people that are saying they won’t cheat a casino even if they are opportune.

And the given example of the OP how to cheat a casino is placing bet on a fixed game.
I guess some bettors are really placing bets on a supposedly fixed game. But how sure are you that it is indeed a fixed game?
This may happen in sports betting but with classic games such as hi-lo, dice, crash and others, I don't think cheating is possible here.
And that I agree with you, for sportsbettors who think they got a hold of such information of fixed game, they will probably place their bets hoping the tip is true.
742  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NFT/METAVERSE price movement, prediction and discussion on: June 22, 2023, 08:36:21 PM
The hype of this coin already over and has been take over by another hype coin such as AI coins. If we see the marketcap there so many NFT/METAVERSE coin has no value and disappeared like a ghost. I hope AI coin can perform better than NFT in this year.

The hype is over for Metaverse and NFT, but in the future Metaverse and NFT will always be used by people of the world,
it's just that it takes time, and the latest news is that NFT will be used in rockstar games, namely GTA 6, so hopefully that will happen.

The hype may not be over but it is waning down. Now, we are seeing which projects can possibly survive.
And on this regard, we are seeing that metaverse backed by popular companies are the ones that might sustain their presence.
Some examples are MANA, SAND, and APE. But still, if you are an investor on these platforms, you need to update yourself with their progress.
And each metaverse project has their own market behavior because it depends on how the team behind it is making progress with their developments.
NFT coins on the other hand are still doing good as they have large trading volume, however, a lot of them already exited the market.
743  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teaching Bitcoin is not do or die on: June 21, 2023, 09:59:44 PM
I am very happy reading your contributions and making people to understand that it is not proper to stress yourself on people who are adamant to learn about bitcoin. I am a living example,I could remember some time ago, my uncle that started his bitcoin journey early in 2012,told me about it but I find it difficult to digest and I left him alone with his stuffs. Late last year, when I went to visit him,he was living a  better life than before and when I asked him he told me the same old story of bitcoin and how he has profited from it. I got more interested in it and from that day I do keep on visiting him to teach me more and from that time till now I have being following up to learn more and I also invested into it to understand how it works. I regretted not taking it serious when he was willing to teach me in 2012.

Always remember, just wait for the right time for someone to approach you on this market.
Not everyone is willing to listen the first time they heard it, just like you or me.
As much as possible, the person is willing to learn so he will also do his due diligence on his own.
If you shove it on their face, they will likely be pissed and will blame you if anything goes wrong with their decisions.
744  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How quick do altcoins pump in bull run? on: June 21, 2023, 09:41:21 PM
I reckon it varies from altcoin to altcoin? Though if it's a really bad coin and the hype just got to it, then a day or two is more than enough for it to suddenly dump. If it was a good coin though, and some just hyped it up to profit a bit but still have a solid group of investors on it, then I reckon a week or two would be the frame before it goes down again (on the first pump that is).

The thing is it's really hard to identify good altcoins in the first place, so I suggest just selling them the moment you see a good enough profit margin from your initial investment. It's not too late to reinvest again anyway if you see things are going pretty well (in some cases, probably.)

There's no concrete answer to what the OP is asking here as there are many variables in play.
What he can do is keep tab with the progress of the coins he is holding onto.
He will know where they are heading if he is also subscribed to their social media channels.
He should not only accumulate those coins but check the progress every now and then.
A lot of alts are going down without any prior warning. So one should be careful on holding too long.
745  Economy / Gambling / Re: l0tt0.com on: June 21, 2023, 09:13:23 PM
Hey @dewez, congratulations on launching your new l0tt0 website! I must admit that you've come up with an interesting concept for your games. I've never heard of someone using the last decimals of Bitcoin's price to determine the winning numbers before, and this definitely adds a unique twist to the traditional lottery format. I gotta check this out more to see how it works and what's the process to confirm the results.

Your site looks very "old" with the graphics and fonts coming from the old Builtin board days. I looks like the ancient arcade games that I played when I was still very young.

It might sound if I am harsh, but I am just brutally honest and I hope you see this as constructive criticism. I do not know if you are deliberately going for a 80s look, but I think it is too dated, compared with your competition.  Roll Eyes Huh

I think they intentionally created a retro feel for the brand in order to stand out from competitors.

Let us say, he really did intentionally create such retro feel, however, earning credibility would still take time.
From the dashboard of the 3 games, it seems only couple of persons tried their site, so maybe, they are all part of the team.
But checking above, seems some here already tried their site. Now, the challenge is to attract users to try their site.

@OP, how much is your minimum deposit/withdrawal on your site?
Are you planning to add other alts like LTC or doge in the future even if your site says bitcoin lottery?
746  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I Want to Trade My House for Some Bitcoins. on: June 20, 2023, 09:57:08 PM
I Want to Trade My House for Some Bitcoins - An Innovative Idea or Unnecessary Risk?
.....
Is this because you've read in the news about someone who sold his house for Bitcoin and became successful? Will you really meet success later? Do you have a house other than that that you can live in? Is there anyone else who will object to your decision? Are you ready to take all the risks?
And various other questions that you will have to answer yourself (not to answer me or anyone else here). so, you must be aware that you are really aware of deciding this.

If it were me personally, I wouldn't do this. Even though the possibility of profits in the next few years is very high, for me, this is an unnecessary risk that I have to take. And I personally don't want to risk my family for this, for my future dream of success.

If he has other properties where he can live if all else fails, then, go for it.
But if it is his only property, then, don't. The success of anyone doesn't mean, you can also achieve such feat.
Everyone has their own path in this market. No one can guarantee your profitability in this market.
If you are really eager to invest on this market, just use extra funds or extra assets that you think is disposable to you.
You will thank yourself later on, once you see the market is not in favor of your expectations.
747  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will you invest in a project that might take years to outshine the market?? on: June 20, 2023, 09:40:36 PM
I would, but how could they convince me to do that? That's the thing, you can't just say "invest in us today and you will outshine the market in 5 years", I can say "no, you invest in me and I can outshine the market in 24 hours and give you a million dollars per day starting tomorrow", would you believe me? Just because yours is more believable, doesn't mean it's real, so saying "it might take a few years to outshine the market" is not the point, that is a good statement and if I trusted it then I would wait and invest, hell I am willing to hold my bitcoins 20 more years, so why not.

The problem would be convincing people that it would outshine, what if you fail? What if it doesn't outshine? Its not the waiting, it's trusting the statement, and I wouldn't right now.

That's the dilemma of most investors to a new project. As they usually have hard time sustaining their presence themselves.
Also, most projects have short lifespan because of their developers, as they want to just pocket money as much as they can.
Once they got a hold of their money, they seemingly don't want to push thru the project and eventually abandon it.
How could you trust these guys then? Let alone wait for so many years, you will likely end up holding worthless coins or tokens.
We have seen such catastrophe countless times, and I don't think there will be a change on this matter.
748  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Could the launch of EDX exchange, result in this FUD? on: June 20, 2023, 09:14:36 PM
Credibility of the exchange is built throughout the years of service.
So you can't tell what kind of performance they will bring to the crypto market up until they are already operational.
Right now, it is too early to tell what's gonna happen. Because it depends on how they will treat their customers.
Binance earned their reputation throughout the years, it is not an overnight task for the trading platform.
We can say, let's see if they will attract customers and offer competitive services. We can't make a conclusion yet as they don't have clients yet in the first place.
749  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will you sell Shib now? Am holding on: June 19, 2023, 06:55:35 PM
well its true that dropping in common, moreover the drops of shiba inu started earlier when there are many company and coins collapsed in the process, but honestly shiba inu performance has been subpar even compared with dogecoin which
also supposed to suffer the same thing like shiba inu.
I guess many just don't really favour this coin anymore though the trading volume is still kinda high, but regardless it seems the presence of newer meme coin like milady and pepe will definitely ate that share of shiba inu market capitalisation in the long run.
moreover the fact that elon rarely shill for it just make things worse, i'd definitely prefer to convert it to doge coin.
Why not convert them to some coin or token with actual utility and potential? I don't understand why people lock their money in tokens which are solely dependent on hype from either a celebrity like Elon Musk or the community and they have no potential themselves to get any organic growth, it is much better if someone buys another coin if they are about to hold it for some time because meme coins are not to be held for long.

One should only invest a very small amount in a meme coin and sell it immediately when they see they are in profit and if the token falls back, they should simply sell and forget about it instead of holding on to the tokens hoping for it to go up again which barely happens in meme coins.

Because up until now, a lot of people are jumping on this market for the idea of getting rich quick with their coins or tokens.
Sadly, most of these hyped up coins or tokens will just die without a warning. If there's no solid use case, better abandon the project.
Most developers of this kind are only looking for a way out before people finally realize they are holding worthless tokens.
It is hard to sell a project if there's no reason why it is in the market, hype is temporary, people can easily hop from one project to another.
If you are too late to sell yours, you are screwed. So for long-term purposes, better stick to the top alts with massive use case in the market.
750  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Luck is what you need in gambling but you have to get to work with trading on: June 19, 2023, 06:08:30 PM
The difference between trading and gambling is that if you have a losing trade and don't sell your coins, you still have a chance to make a profit. But in gambling, if you have lost and lost a lot of money, there is no guarantee that you can win several times and recover all the losses you have experienced.

If traders say that trading is the same as gambling, they haven't learned more about trading and trading analysis. But if they have learned about trading analysis, they have more opportunities to earn.

To profit from trading, you should learn more about analysis. Trading can be a source of steady income. Meanwhile, it is difficult to use gambling as a steady source of income. Many people have tried it but failed.

In short, if you will equip yourself with knowledge and strategies in trading, you won't rely much on luck.
And that means, you have a chance to do better in trading if you educate yourself and acquire more experience.
However, if you are talking about gambling and playing those luck-based games such as crash, dice or roulette,
then, no matter how many years you are playing with such games, you still have the same chance on these games.
And that clearly shows that trading and gambling is different from each other, you have better chance in trading if you
prepare yourself for this activity. But your chance in gambling stays the same for these luck-based games even if you know very well such game.
751  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How many advantages do you know about tron? on: June 19, 2023, 05:01:47 PM
As others agreed, USDT.
To be honest, I only use the Tron network when I am transferring USDT to several exchanges because it's the cheapest and most available if you want your funds to be transferred on some exchanges.
The only advantage of Tron for me is being fast transaction sped and lower transaction fees.

As many users know TRON, I admit that the fee is quite low compared to many other ecosystems, but looking at the problem of the ecosystem is too sketchy and there are not many special projects and more closely related. The connection with Justin Sun made me never really believe it, although I also use it for USDT transfers, I have no intention of investing in TRON or any project on the ecosystem.

The pump/dump process is also dependent on the general situation of the whole market, after many years since launch, perhaps the current position is built by them with financial strength, and today when many ecosystems While others are competing with the pros, TRON is showing a potential for a competitive setback in areas where people hype about trends.

With the years that I am into crypto trading, I guess, that's one of the most popular reasons why a lot of traders like Tron network.
They have very cheap fees when you transact USDT via Tron network and a lot of trading platforms are offering it.
However, investing the tron coin itself, for me is high risk as hard to gauge about the long-term plans of the dev team about this project.
But I totally agree if you will use this network in any of your transactions as they are quite cheap and fast as well.
I believe the Tron team should invest more on establishing the longevity plans for this platform for people to have confidence in holding this coin for long-term purposes.
752  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Smart Way to Introduce Bitcoin to Relatives, Spouse or Family on: June 19, 2023, 04:27:27 PM
I don't like reading a long post like this OP, sorry about that but my reply is going to be about your topic because I already have an idea where all this is heading.

I don't just introduce Bitcoin to anyone, that includes my family members too, I have to look very well before leaping, because some people in the family are not always welcoming, they are in a mood that only encourages them to shut you the hell up.

Some are disbelievers, they always want to talk you out of everything you have in mind and even your goals, so the type of people that I like introducing Bitcoin to are those that are looking for ways to make money online, at least they have something to do with the internet and they are not illiterate.

After that I always make sure they are ready for the risks, and the responsibility of blaming themselves if they lost their private keys or if someone steals their Bitcoin, I always make sure they are the ones ready to face the good and the bad side of Bitcoin.

I always prevent myself from helping them do the buying and things, they must be willing to do the readings and learn how to trade on an exchange and buy Bitcoin too, I will never put myself in the position of doing such for anyone.

And if you are really serious in introducing them to this market, get ready to send them some.
In that way, it would be easy for them to understand the value of this coin in your actual fiat currency.
It is also relatively easy to teach them on how to trade a coin if you have something to work on.
Because if it is all talk, it would be hard for them to grasp what is actually going on when you trade this coin.
But do remember, only introduce this market to only family member who is willing to listen and eager to learn.
Otherwise, you have no responsibility to convince each of them to get involve in this market, as this should be voluntary.
753  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Friendly Match is Hard to Predict on: June 19, 2023, 12:47:48 PM
Friendly matches are only like trial matches, so it makes it very difficult for us to predict who will win because all results can change and the pattern of play is also not very optimal.
I lost several bets in friendly matches so I decided to avoid betting on this match.
After all, the players only play as best they can and don't really optimize their playing performance.

The 3 matches that you are betting on actually I also see that there are quite high Odds but that is risky and don't take them.
This can be a lesson for you so that in the future you can be more careful in choosing matches to bet on.

That what I was thinking, as they were friendly matches, you can't expect all players to take their game on a very serious note.
Hence, if you feel that you can't see a very aggressive game, better sit back and relax, just enjoy the game, and don't bet for the moment.
But of course, it won't be the same on every friendly match. Some teams may want to take the game seriously.
What I can compare this kind of game is like exhibition matches in boxing, not very advisable to place a bet in those exhibition fights.
Or if you are rooting for a certain team, just bet a small amount so no hard feelings if the outcome is out of your expectations.
754  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul Vs Nate Diaz boxing Aug 5th on Dazn PPV on: June 18, 2023, 09:54:11 PM
In short, this is fight will belong to Jake Paul and that's without a doubt. It's not that I'm underestimating Nate but it's just hard to vote and bet towards him knowing that he will fight Jake inside the ring where he's not that experienced, he can make a difference in the first few rounds though because in those rounds, he is still fresh and strong but in the longer rounds, Jake will punish him and might KO him too.
There are reports coming from one of Nate's trainers that he is having a hard time with his stamina and this is going to be a big problem, compared to MMA where fighters can wrestle especially if the match is on the mat, it's not possible in boxing you have to phase yourself well, and Jake is so good at phasing himself, he goes to the body at the opening rounds invest a lot in jabs and do counter punches to save energy and hurt his opponent.
I know Jake can and will beat Nate I'm just worried it's not as bad as what he did with Woodley, well we just hope.

No wonder, Paul is the clear favorite of the bookies here so far.
We will know if the odds will change few weeks before the fight.
But if the Diaz couldn't work his stamina, that's for sure will be his biggest challenge here.
Knowing Paul is much younger and more active, Diaz may find it hard to last long in the ring.
Paul is still in great shape so that would help him a lot in conditioning his upcoming fight with Diaz.
But we don't know if Diaz' camp is just saying that he's having hard time, we don't know if this is just their strategy.
755  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC CHANGED MY LIFE - Crypto investor? on: June 18, 2023, 09:32:39 PM
The good news was that you never had any scam experience, despite how you started all by yourself. Some people get into Bitcoin without the help of any experienced Bitcoiners, and they end up landing themselves in some bad situations that could give them some misconceptions about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency entirely. Congratulations on being successful in the space, just as you have described. Bitcointalk is a place where you can get every assistant you need about Bitcoin and every other cryptocurrency.

I don't know how favorable it's been for you to make a good profit over short-term investors in Bitcoin, but you should also learn how to hold some Bitcoin for the long term.

Some people are here for short term because they though they can easily earn profits from this market.
Most people who were a victim of scam were the ones who usually jump on too-good-to-be-true promises.
But if you will stick to most established alts in this market, you will avoid a lot of these scam projects.
756  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Success or Fail? - Talking about Gambling as a major income on: June 18, 2023, 08:59:40 PM
*sighs* here we go again with people trying to justify gambling as a source of income when they can easily just fill up an application form and get themselves a regular 9-5 that doesn't put their entire savings and their family's future in the line.

First off, are you good at gambling? Do you win more than lose? Do you think you have what it takes to take on the pro scene and be pitted against people who have probably cracked the secrets to the game way before you did? Second, Are you really willing to put your stuff on the line for some strategy you saw on the internet, even worse someone you heard from? I'm not that belligerent and gullible but I sure as hell know people will fall for this kind of crap. I mean there are people who used gambling consultation services lmao.

Gambling is not a form of profit-taking venture. It is an entertainment method that you do when you want to wind out and experience the joy of spending money you don't mind losing. If you think of gambling otherwise, and you're not any of those two I mentioned above then you might wanna ask yourself if you're still sane or something.

People will learn quick that relying on this industry for their income as they will put their family in trouble.
Do remember, most gamblers are having financial problems, hence, the negative stigma when someone is into gambling.
The likelihood of failure is high when you put yourself into this habit. Very few persons can get out alive whether short-term or long-term basis.
So to make sure you are putting something on your table, better look for a stable job and not think that gambling will ever sustain your lifestyle.
A lot of people are getting trap to the idea of hitting big one day, but we all know, most of the time, such luck won't ever come.
And your family can't wait for such luck as you need to put something in your tummy to survive. Don't exchange it to the concept of hitting the jackpot.
757  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Explanation on Bitcoin Fees on: June 18, 2023, 08:29:36 PM
~
As I said in my first reply, OP paid only 0.0002 BTC as withdrawal fee and is confusing the withdrawal fee with the with the fee displayed on block explorers which is the fee paid by Kraken to miners.

I see. I thought kraken charged a transaction fee on top of their fixed fees, but it looks like they do not. Thank you for the clarification!

This is the same also with most casinos, they have fixed fees but if you try to look at block explorers, the actual fee varies
according to the actual activity of the bitcoin network. Sometimes they will pay higher or lower than what you paid for them.
You can check their actual deductions by checking your account itself as you know how much satoshis you have in your account.
In time, the OP will understand that if it is the third party platform doing the transaction, he can't control the fees used to pay the miners.
However, if the transaction is coming from his noncustodial wallet, he can easily adjust the fees according to his needs.
758  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you find it offensive to be referred to as an addicted gambler? on: June 18, 2023, 07:58:04 PM
Many people find it difficult to accept who they are and the bad habits that they have, accepting a habit is the first step that will determine if any help offered to you will work. As a gambler, will you find it offensive if you are referred to as a gambling addict? will you easily accept it or try to give excuses like some other people do, saying that they are not addicted to gambling when the signs are clearly there. Do you think identifying as an addicted gambler will make people stereotype you. The answer is different for every gambler here.
Anybody that has a problem and fails to accept that he has such a problem will not have the solution. If accepting that I am a gambling addict will set me free from this disorder, I will gladly accept that I have a problem. Gamblers in some cultures are seen as wasters and irresponsible people. A gambling addict will even be wrongly categorized as a criminal. This is why most gamblers hid their disorder from people even when they are aware that they need help. They prefer to suffer in silence than to open up about their struggle with addiction.

Until our society understands that you cannot help people by insulting or disgracing them. People that are suffering from gambling disorders should be treated like humans and not like animals. They should be respectfully counseled and not publicly shamed. I will be willing to tell a qualified therapist about my problems but it will always remain a secret.

This is why it is always best to open your struggles within your family or closest friends.
Because they are the ones who can truly understand your situation and want the best for your mental health.
The reality is, people are being judgmental to others. Thus, some gamblers are very secretive to what they are doing.
I can truly understand that. So if I think I am on the verge of being gambling addict, I can only show my true issues to very few people.
I may find it offensive if some people will say bad things towards me, but don't know actually what will I feel as I haven't been in such situation.
759  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to fight with FUD about Bitcoin on: June 17, 2023, 09:59:53 PM
In this scenario, it's best to address their arguments directly within the thread. Even if you were to engage in private conversation, it's unlikely that they would be swayed. It's more effective to present your counterpoints with accurate information in the public forum. By doing so, the general audience will be able to witness their misguided views regarding Bitcoin and hopefully recognize the fallacies. It's important to note that there are numerous individuals who actively propagate negativity and misinformation about Bitcoin. Engaging in the thread is an effective strategy to counter their claims and provide accurate information, thus debunking their falsehoods.

However, the OP said that the person is not replying on his arguments.
In this case, what he can do, is just continue what he is doing, educate the people by giving the facts about this market and bitcoin itself.
I don't think any legal step would do good here, because as time goes by, these people will also realize which is fud or not.
Because once they try to get involve in this market, they will learn the facts. But for those who are not, they will remain in the dark.
And with today's technology, everyone can basically search something over the internet, so it is not too hard to educate yourself for anything.
The OP should not be too worried about other people believing the FUD, because they will also come to their senses on their own time.
760  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Success or Fail? - Talking about Gambling as a major income on: June 17, 2023, 09:48:15 PM
I don't understand how some people see gambling as a potential income source. How could someone rely on gambling, when gambling itself is filled with randomness and uncertainty. Its like you being able to pay the bills also becomes an uncertainty in your life. Relying on it as a primary income source is highly risky and unstable, unless you are working as an affiliate and you refer others to gamble. You earn comission from that, and it might be good source of income for you, but still there is no guarantee that you will be earning forever. People should stop considering gambling as a job through which they can earn money and should see it as a form of "paid" entertainment.
They are being mislead by the adds of the gambling site and thought the process is easy at all especially on winning the reward. Well, they can easily realize it when they already started losing the money though some are still not listening and they still continue to gamble with a hope of making fixed profit. The golden rule here is to be more responsible and not to expect that much in gambling, luck is still the big reason why you are winning and that is something you can’t have always.
Definitely a very effective marketing strategy, and you could lose a lot of money if you are being deceived by such promotions. You’ll fail if you think gambling as your source of income because its not, not unless you’re rich enough to play big in casinos and still on a good financial status even if you already lose a lot of money. Don’t treat gambling as your source of income especially if you are still struggling with your finances.

I believe, most of the gamblers know already such fact that you can't treat gambling as your main source of income.
However, as a gambler, you hope that someday you will hit big that you can retire from your winnings.
But reality is, a lot of gamblers are getting broke as they can't control their spending once they are in front of their games.
Promotions are created to deceive players, but that is, if you will really believe that such fortunate events will be on your side.
