801  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: November 22, 2022, 11:27:23 AM
I wonder if Dortmund will have to deal with any offer for Bellingham in January such as a pre-agreement to complete the transfer in the summer. I assume that they wouldn't like to discuss any terms for now because they would like to see Bellingham continuing to focus on his game during the rest of the season.
But I really think Dortmund won't be able to keep him in the summer. Real Madrid and Liverpool already seem the most interested teams for him. I think he will go to one of these teams with a solid transfer fee.

I agree that it is 99% sure already that Bellingham will leave Borussia Dortmund after this season. He completely stands out in the squad of Dortmund and yesterday in the first game of England in he world cup he also was a starter and showed a great performance. I guess that most of the very big clubs in Europe are interested in signing him. I also think though that it probably does not make a big difference if he would already sign a pre-contract now with another club or not. I mean if he would do that at least his future is already fixed and he does not have to think about that anymore. In the end it doesn't matter.

"I'm hearing through the grapevine that something important is about to happen. Please recognize the fact that my elite social connections to people who are early to know things make me cool, and please help me validate my self-image of coolness"
Your thoughts? Or Vitalik babbler?

I don't follow Vitalik on twitter but i don't think that he is usually the type of guy that is posting silly memes and meaningless messages on twitter. If you are looking at the comments of this post though then i think it becomes obvious that he is just making fun of some big crypto influencers that have probably said that they have informations that ETH is going down soon and with his post Vitalik wants to make fun of them. It even seems that those people have replied to him in the comments.
I don't really know what happened or where the rumors are coming from but in deep bear market times like this every rumor can cause another dump. So i hope it turns out to be false.
803  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: November 20, 2022, 11:33:25 PM
Truthfully it wasn't an impressive race. The first laps of the race was really intriguing but after that it was just boring.

I agree this was one of the most boring races of this season in my opinion. A big reason for that is obviously that the Championship was already decided some weeks ago and to be honest the fight for the second place was only hyped up by the media in my opinion in order to create some drama and excitement before the race but in the end it is just the second place and not many people really care about that in my opinion.
Also today was the last race for Sebastian Vettel and also for Mick Schumacher. For me it is pretty said that his contract by Haas was not prolonged but i think he will be back in the Formula 1 pretty soon. Today he made one mistake again but he still was ahead of Magnussen. I think he has the quality to be a permanent F1 driver.
804  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: November 20, 2022, 01:23:26 PM
I think after the World Cup the fans will have a big decline in interest in the secondary tournaments. It's one thing to watch the Europa League under normal conditions (after all, there are interesting confrontations) and another thing, having had enough of the super-important World Cup games, to return to the Europa League games. I think such sentiments will touch some players/coaches as well.

I don't know about that. To be honest for me the national teams and the national cups like European Championship and the World Cup have never been of the biggest interest for me. I just enjoy club football way more than national teams. I also think that the quality of the football games is way higher in the Champions League and Europa League then in the world cup for example.
Especially in the world cup there are some teams that are taking part that are at least 1 or 2 tiers below the best ones like Saudi Arabia and Qatar for example. Overall for me the world cup is not really the highlight of this football year. I will watch it though because obviously that this the only football that is going on during that time.
805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Decentraland recover? on: November 20, 2022, 01:17:22 PM
Decentraland was the first crypto I invested in when I started investing February this year buying at £2.45.
I have been DCA a lot since the June crash and I thought 60p was a steal but in recent weeks it has just kept falling and is now at 34p. My average buy is now only 64p but I am still 46% down on it overall.
This is my first bear market experience and I know altcoins being down 90% is normal but I thought the metaverse was supposed to be the next big thing?
I am still buying at these cheap prices just not as often now.
Would be interesting to hear any thoughts on this? Are you for or against Decentraland and if so why?

I think that the same thing is true for Decentraland as for most of the other crypto projects. As soon as the market as a whole leaves behind all those negative news and happenings with the drama around Terra Luna first and now the bankruptcy of FTX and starts to recover most of the projects will recover with the overall market. The next question is, if Decentraland is able to reach the price levels around it's ATH again.
Regarding that i am not sure to be honest. Play2earn and metaverse were two big trends of the crypto industry of the last 2 years or so. Now that the big hype wave is over only the good projects of those genre will survive. I think though that Decentraland is one of them.
806  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ FIFA World Cup 2022: Tournament Discussion Thread for Qatar 2022 on: November 19, 2022, 10:07:01 PM
The host nation usually play as though they have an extra man on the field because all of the support they receive from local supporters as well as from the neutral fans in the stadium who managed to get tickets for the world cup. That was the reason I edged Qatar over Ecuador. Senegal being AFCON champions would probably have progressed if Mane was in their squad but it has been confirmed he will miss out because of injury therefore their chances of getting past the group stage have dropped.

Even though it's their home tournament i don't really think that Qatar has a chance against Ecuador. The difference in quality in the squads is just way to big in my opinion. That being said i don't really know the players of the team of Qatar. I could imagine though, that Qatar did the same thing with their football team as they did a few years back with their handball team when they also hosted the handball world cup. Back then they "hired" some very good players to play for their national team instead. I don't know if the rules in Handball are less strict but in football a player needs at least some connection to the country that he wants to play for.
807  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The market will come back bigger again on: November 19, 2022, 10:00:51 PM
Hello guys,
With this ordeal going on it seems much-lost faith and bailed as if the whole market is going to vanish. This kind of thing happens more often in the stock market with inside trading, embezzlement, etc. In reality, it’s a perfect time to get in with everything dropping so low. It will come back and come back bigger than ever after this dies down and there will be improvements to hopefully prevent this from happening again. So do not lose hope and know that the bad time will inevitably pass, and you may not be able to make up for this opportunity again. Just my opinion.

Well there is not much that we can do about the current happenings and the condition that the whole market is in. So we just can endure it and hope for better time. I think times like this make very clear again, that the first and most important role for investing into crypto is to never invest more than you can afford to lose. And by that i mean if you are having 3000$ on your bank account only put 1000$ or so into crypto and not all of the 3000 $ because you still need some savings if your crypto investment goes completely wrong.
If you are following this rule, then you can be pretty relaxed even through markets like this. Of course it is never nice to lose money but if it is "excess money" than at least it is not that bad.
808  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: November 19, 2022, 06:27:13 PM
Bayern Munich will have no trouble maintaining its position in the Bundesliga. they are still very difficult for other clubs to be able to hold them. I see the World Cup being used a lot as an excuse because a lot of their players play for their national team. But I don't think so, physically the players who play in the World Cup will be more exhausted, but they also still have a few days to recover before playing at club level. I think that time is enough for them to recover their physical condition.

Well if the world cup is used as an excuse for the other clubs that their players are not at the top performance level then that is automatically the biggest excuse for Bayern Munich because they are the Bundesliga team which has the most players in the world cup as far as i know. I think in the end the difference in quality between Bayern Munich and the rest of the clubs is just to high. Before the season started a lot of people said that Borussia Dortmund has a good chance to become the Bundesliga champions this year because they got players like Süle, Schlotterbeck and Adeyemi. I mean those are good Bundesliga players but Bayern got playes like Mane and De Ligt at the same time, so for me the quality difference became even bigger this season.
809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in seed rounds on: November 19, 2022, 06:20:44 PM
Do you think that launchpad platforms and projects will return soon? We are already in a bear market and very soon new projects will start using launchpads again, I am looking into seedify at the moment but I want to ask the audience, do you think this is a good idea or it's over for IDO, IGO and other?

At the moment it is definitely pretty quite around those launchpads and community VC's. I still remember back in 2020 and 2021 the hype about those projects was huge. I am still part of DuckDao and Poolz which are both offering investment opportunities in private sales. Of course now in the very deep bear market the number of projects that is offered is way lower than during the bull market, but i still think that launchpads and community VC's are a good way to get into good projects very early.
For example DuckDao was offering a investment opportunity into the private sale around of Magicsquare a few weeks ago. That is a great project in my opinion with big investors like Binance, Kucoin and Huobi for example.
810  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: November 18, 2022, 09:56:32 PM
Even I have to say they have improved since Potter's arrival, but maybe you should ignore the results of his last 5 matches. The fact Potter managed to get Chelsea out of the Champions League group stage should be the reason why Chelsea have improved. Even so, Chelsea has only played 14 matches in the Premier League, it will soon improve even better in the second half of this season.

To be honest i have never really heard of Potter before he became the coach of FC Chelsea. Looking at the results i would say that his work so far is not really that successful. I think that Chelsea made a huge mistake by firing Thomas Tuchel as their coach. I mean he became coach of FC Chelsea when they were in a really terrible state and after he came he not only made them successful in the Premier League again he even won the Champions League with them, which was an exceptional performance as a coach. I think Tuchel is one of the top 5 football coaches in the world right now. The only thing is that he seems to be kinda complicated to handle sometimes for the club officials.
811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is DeSo a better Twitter? on: November 18, 2022, 09:09:34 PM
Do you think that decentralised social platform like Twitter is a good idea in crypto space? I am looking into DeSo Ecosystem where your recovery seed is all you need to sign into the network and you get paid for all good contents you create on the platform .
Users can tip content creators among themselves using DeSo coin, I am not here to shill this project, I just want to know what people feel about the future of this project.

To be honest i have never heard of the DeSo Ecosystem before. In the last few weeks there were a lot of news about big companies stopping to advertise on twitter now that Elon Musk has bought it. To be honest i find that kind of ridiculous of those companies, the only thing that Musk wants to do is to ensure that everyone can express his opinion on twitter, if it is not against the law of course, and now where Twitter might become a place for real free speech for everyone and not only for the woke left those companies already are afraid because they always want to be 100% politically correct.
I heard of Mastodon as a twitter alternative.
812  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: November 18, 2022, 12:16:30 PM
I was having a random discussion with someone at along the way and he said he's seen news of Qatar involved in corrupt act before the world Cup against Ecuador which is to be held on Sunday. That they paid some big money to seven players of Ecuador to rig the match and game, can any help me share a link if this is true, I would love to read the full gist on it. Checking the odds it's on the side of Ecuador which means they should win if they don't involve in corrupt ways

If that rumor would be confirmed, then those would be huge news not only in the world of sports but in probably every big mainstream news corporation, so i am pretty sure that those are just rumors and there is no evidence for such an action. Can i imagine that stuff like that happens or that it was at least tried to bribe some of the Ecuador players? Yeah i can. If i remember correctly, then there was a similar case back in the World cup of 2002 where the south korean team made it to the quarter finals somehow and afterwards it became public that a referee that was completely broke before had suddenly a lot of money.
813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance, BitMEX and KuCoin have delisted FTX Token pairs from their crypto excha on: November 18, 2022, 11:26:07 AM
All three exchanges have, as the headline indicates, delisted FTX token pairings from their cryptocurrency exchanges.
The FTT/BTC, FTT/BNB, FTT/ETH, and FTT/USDT trading pairs have been deleted off Binance's platform, according to the company, since they did not pass recent checks. The FTT/BUSD pair is still accessible on the market, the exchange stated.
https://twitter.com/binance/status/1592020929999159296
The perpetual swap contracts related to FTT have been delisted by all exchanges except Binance and BitMEX. Its FTT/USD and FTT/USDT pairings are included in this. The exchange explained their justification for delisting as a drop in spot trading of the pairs. KuCoin has delisted their FTT/USDT perpetual contract on KuCoin Futures, similar to BitMEX.

Well that makes sense to me. With FTX probably going bankrupt, there is a high chance that all the FTT tokens become completely worthless and therefore it is a good measure of those exchanges to just delist the trading pairs of that token. I mean even though they were warning not to buy and sell FTT token for a few days now at least people are still doing in in the hope of a quick profit, just like they do it with Terra Luna classic.
I just hope that the whole topic now slowly but surely cools off and that the rumors about other big exchanges also having financial trouble turn out to be untrue because if we see another big crypto company collapse then we are in for way lower prices than we are already having them now.
814  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: November 17, 2022, 07:52:18 PM
This time it is different for Barcelona. The Europa League is going to be very important for them because of their financial condition. They have made many signings and there is even a situation for them like they might not be able to sign new players in January.
Considering this fact, they need to make as much money as possible this season. Maybe they didn't play much good in the Champions League. But I still think that they will fight for the Europa League title. Their priority is of course the La Liga title but I don't expect Xavi to focus on only that. Winning both championships would be awesome for them.

To be honest though i would be pretty happy if FC Barcelona would be eliminated by Manchester United in the next round right away. If the club officials of Barca are so stupid to spend that much money on new players, that they have basically spent the money that you get from reaching the knockout stage of the Champions League, then this is definitely their own fault. Before this season i was already surprised and shocked how much money Barca was spending on new players, given the fact that they have 1,3 Billion € of debts and that they had to sell a lot of club property in order to not go bankrupt. They are just action completely irresponsible with their finances.
815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are crypto devs so greedy on: November 17, 2022, 07:39:11 PM
The majority of crypto collapse always comes from the centralisation part and of cos the human greed, what do you think is the proper solution for these? To avoid hurting crypto investors and how to guarantee that their funds is safe with any platform, either Staking, Lending or Trading.
What is the way forward? What solution do you think will be effective?

Well in the end i think you always have the risk that a project becomes to decentralized no matter what type of consensus mechanism it has. In the last few months after the Ethereum merge a lot of people were pretty negative about it because now the big ETH holders, which means the big exchanges like Binance, Coinbase and Kucoin for example have a lot of power over the network now. As far as i know though that was not that much different before the switch to PoS happened because before there were huge chinese mining companies that were in charge of big portions of the mining power of the ETH network, which was not better.
816  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 17, 2022, 02:16:33 PM
Other rumors, Chelsea have now signed a pre-contract with Christopher Nkunku (Leipzig). Be prepared to face the risk that Aubameyang can no longer be said to be productive to continue to provide encouragement on the front lines. Moreover, Aubameyang was unable to play for 90 minutes. The Leipzig striker was paid around £52 million up front. However, rumored to be absent from the 2022 World Cup due to injury, it's a shame that France has lost a player who has been in top form this season.

I first heard rumors that FC Chelsea is pretty close to sign Nkunku from RB Leipzig already a few weeks ago. In the meantime it became also public that the technical director Christopher Vivell was released by Leipzig and that he is already in talks with FC Chelsea about a job there. So this could mean that Vivell already talked to Chelsea about the transfer of Nkunku to them and thathe had to leave Leipzig because of that. Now it is very likely that he will join FC Chelsea together with Nkunku. This smells pretty fishy if you ask me.
That being said, Nkunku is a great player and it is only a matter of time until he plays for one of the absolute top clubs.
817  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is here to stay. on: November 17, 2022, 02:09:44 PM
Despite all of the drama with FTX:
-Apple pay added USDC support
providing  an easy on-ramp for 500mil+
-Gaming juggernauts like Riot games are building in web 3.
-Billion dollar brands are incoming to the space.

I am also pretty sure by now that the whole crypto topic is not just one of those trends that is only a hot topic for a few years and then slowly but surely fades away into meaninglessness. I first joined the crypto space back in 2017 and even though we are now deep in a bear market and might fall to even way lower price levels in comparison to now it is still true that the crypto market is now way more mature than a few years ago. Nowadays it is nothing special anymore when a big company, a celebrity or a website is mentioning a crypto project. Back in 2017 a simple mention of an altcoin in a big media was enough to make it pump, nowadays it is absolutely normal.
818  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: November 16, 2022, 08:43:56 PM
RB Leipzig is in excellent form, having gone unbeaten since October. After a poor start to the season, they recovered in October with a 4-0 win over Bochum, and they have been unbeaten in all competitions since. They are, in my opinion, the only team capable of competing with Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga this season is RB Leipzig, because Dortmund is not a strong opponent this season and Union Berlin is also not a strong opponent as their performance has begun to deform.

I also agree that RB Leipzig is the one team in the Bundesliga that can potentially be most serious competitor to Bayern Munich in the race for the Bundesliga championship. I even already said that, before the season started, because for me the squad of RB Leipzig is simply stronger than the one of Borussia Dortmund. So for me Leipzig can be the number 2 team in germany not only this year but also in the following years after that. If they would not have had such a bad start into the season then they would be way closer to Bayern now in terms of points. Freiburg and Union are playing exceptional seasons so far but i doubt they can keep up that levle up until the end.
819  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New technologies are going to replace every existing method✍️ on: November 16, 2022, 08:39:43 PM
With a lot coming into light about FTX, which will affect Solana indirectly, I think it's a market opportunity for Aptos Ecosystem as they're already tagged Solana Killer, even though FTX is part of the partners that funded Aptos, but Solana VCs are their major funders... With the controversies at hand, It's a matter of time for Aptos to move!
Also, a lot going on in Canto ecosystem... A lot!
I won't wanna miss this opportunity too, though it's not obvious now but Canto will shake crypto space just exactly Ethereum did!
The last ecosystem I'm so expectant about their inevitable success is Arbitrum!
🙏

I am not sure what to think about Aptos to be honest. A few weeks back when Aptos was about to be listed on the big exchanges like Binance, Kucoin and others, i already had some stablecoins prepared to invest into aptos as soon as the trading on Kucoin starts. During my wait for the trading to start i did some reading though, which of course i should have down way before that but i just wanted to throw some money at Aptos because everyone was talking about it, and during my research my enthusiasm for Aptos dropped and in the end i did not invest into it at all. I just don't like the fact that they have collected 400M $ from the big companies and that those companies are now owning a majority of the tokens. As soon as the price is in their desired range, they will massively sell off.
820  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: November 16, 2022, 11:45:43 AM
The World Cup in Qatar will kick off anytime soon and the teams and players are getting prepared and every player is planning to get their hands on the cup..
The two iconic football greats will be taking the stage of the World Cup for the last time and I think  that's the only trophy they as footballer have not gotten their hands on
Me personally I would love to see these legends perform once more in Qatar and it will a very exquisite end to their World Cup faith if their two had to battle it out in the final themselves

I am also quite sure that this will be the last world cup of Cristiano Ronaldo. I mean he is already 37 years old already and i doubt that he will still play with 41 years of age when the next world cup is happening, even though i also don't want to completely rule that out because so far he shows zero signs that he wants to retire soon. He also is a very professional sportsman so even if he is 37 years old he still has the body of an average 32 year old pro football player i would guess so we will see.
Messi is 35 so i also think that there is still a slight chance that he will also play in the next world cup but of course until then anything can happen. One big injury and the career is over.
