801  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is this not shilling but information sharing? on: November 03, 2022, 02:00:40 PM

Yeah this is quite common to some platforms that allows monetization like Youtube especially for some small-mid sized channels since large sized channels would not want to risk losing their reputation.
Not sure if people would call that size of a Youtuber as influencer already, but if project owners are willing to pay those users for promotion, they would do it anyway for the sake of getting attention.
802  Other / Meta / Re: We should have a "who is satoshi" subforum on: November 03, 2022, 08:41:57 AM

If you are really into it that kind, just make a subreddit in Reddit. You're just going to fill in the blanks on the fields needed to start such subs.
It is at least the thing that could meet your needs if you're really into it. Invite your friends to it so you could discuss 'who is satoshi' and all those conspiracy theories you could think of.

Otherwise, there's not much option you have since that is simply just a megathread topic like mk4 mentioned.

I forgot to mention this in my previous reply.
Way to hassle not gonna lie. I won't even consider having many wallets since usually I only have "few" wallets entirely for different purposes (can't mention how many for privacy reasons).

Even if I was using custodial wallet, I might forget one of these wallets one day. Cheesy

Hey, no problem! Good luck to your learning journey. Those two channels I mentioned always explains what the syntax does and not just "yeah that is the function you need to do this".

Sometimes Traversy Media also plugs other tutorials from other channels which would give you plenty of resources to learn from as well. When I learned Django (Python web dev framework) from his channel, I just found it was a tutorial from another channel (Dennis Ivy). Cheesy

Youtube tutorials will help you a lot. I've been watching channels like Bucky and Traversy Media when it comes to any languages/frameworks.

After you get a grasp in your picked language, try to build something out of it so you won't get stuck on the popular term we, as programmers, call it - "tutorial hell".

You can learn the core languages first then jump into frameworks, but when I was still self-studying I usually learn the language as I go with the framework and it works for me. Not sure how fast you learn stuffs, but feel free to learn at your own pacing.

Well whatever floats his boat anyways. Try to mention that there is no perfect security.
Just like what other mentioned in here, just get a hardware wallet and keep the phrase safe.

Would you mind asking your friend why is that his idea aside from it being a "good idea"? I am pretty sure he has own reasoning for that.
807  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The Unnecessary Pressure For Merits on: November 01, 2022, 11:48:58 AM
Problem is there are users that are treating/overthinking about merits too much like that is what they are going to put up to their resume.

If one is really pursued into joining SCs then sure, merits would be a problem/challenge for them, but we all know that this forum is not primarily an earning platform.
808  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk is one of the keys to be 100k$ per Bitcoin? on: October 30, 2022, 10:44:43 AM

Yeah for pure coins that have surely a utility and not a merely "a meme coin", it is not all about who shills it. This is why we have many shitcoins out there that are just staying alive from hypes and not from how it it utilized.

I can't imagine how many investors were really committed to such hypes and willing to bet their money into it. Elon Musk might have been one of the memorable influencers that managed to get into crypto space, but surely that's it for him. He is not the Satoshi 2.0.

Well not all the time. Users could entirely be out of the forum and learning by their own and would have more experience than other users in here.  The forum is not the only source of knowledge, but it is a great platform to share experiences and ideas by the many just like Reddit.

I currently am learning programming and I am curious if thwre are way many more forums out there primarily for programmers and not just subs from Reddit.
810  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is regulation really inevitable? on: October 29, 2022, 12:58:27 PM
I mean the regulation that they could do at most is just provide 3rd party apps that would somehow allow their crypto holders to buy and sell cryptos with a big BUT of needing KYC.

They can't regulate personal transaction which is somehow the method of some people to get and sell their Bitcoin under the radar.
811  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MY FIRST BITCOIN PURCHASE. on: October 29, 2022, 12:55:20 PM
Congrats, OP.
You know that everyone gotta start somewhere. You made me recall back in the days when I was still scared to get my first Bitcoin due to how volatile the price is. Regardless I still bit rhe bullet and then boom I just found myself trading afterwards.

All the best to you, Op!

Yup, you got my point. It is a pain that you won't get immediate answers from your superiors especially when you are all communicating through some software like Slack which is the common messaging platform that teams uses.

Also speaking of social interaction, it is better to have personal and physical conversation than just having it done via email or electronically.  Even though I am an introvert, I still enjoy some few physical conversation with people rather than eletronically.

I might be in the wrong side of the Twitter at the moment, but yeah I believe you. Twitter is kind of toxic environment in my own side maybe because I was on the wrong side for now. You would never stop seeing bunch of arguments there over and over.

This forum will surely sustain if you would ask me. We might have social media sites for these, but this forum would remain legendary to a lot of people. Surely there would be more OG Bitcoiners here than in other social media platform.

True and no more exhausting trip on the way home which almost feels like death for me everytine I logged my time off and cannot do anything else that I would love to do.

Sadly, many companies are now going back to onsite working due to post pandemic situation we have now and some workers might not see the benefit of being able to work remotely soon though there are pros and cons to both anyways.
815  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do the best out of what you can control on: October 27, 2022, 07:38:30 PM

I mean there is nothing wrong if you use this forum like Reddit, which is another social media by the way.

You're only required to follow the rules then you can do whatever the hell you want in here. Join discussion, learn something, read around, hangout with other people, etc. There is even entertainment in learning if you would ask me. It's always fun to learn something new once in a while especially after your usual 8-5.
816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shitcoins and Memecoins on: October 27, 2022, 04:48:31 PM

Truly the point. There is nothing much .ore to be defined from these meme coins other than being meme or being like the usual stuff you see in the internet. Investing in those is like walking in a broken glass anways. You won't likely see a profit or two from it maybe quick gains but not the usual long term gains that everyone wants.
817  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My Advise to Forum members on PMs offers on: October 27, 2022, 04:05:25 PM
.
Yeah, I understand where you are coming from. They do not want their project to be in the spotlight too much and that is why they are attempting to advertise their project sneakily through PM offers. I would not accept the same offer if I do not see a thread of their project even if it is a legitimate one. Either it is a fake clone project or just something that wants to waste your time obviously.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention them. Not gonna lie, that guy Jaani has some inspirational story after he changed his ways. I have not watched Kit and Pierogi together yet though since I believe they do not have the same "methodology" in disrupting scammer's time. Both of them are great still. Cheesy

ScammeRevolts is also worth watching, since we can see how he messes with the scammer's computer files and what usually these scammers are storing in their PC files.
819  Other / Meta / Re: The Reason why you chose your username on: October 26, 2022, 05:36:18 PM
~
So, why do you chose that username?
Usually I just pick out random username from the games I played especially those that I was a fan of. Not surprised that some would pick the same username as mine that is why I add some random numbers, lol. Who knows what game character will I pick in the next website I registered on anyway? Artyom, maybe? Cheesy

Really happy that some users here took notice of the reference like UserU, lol. Cheesy
820  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it important to have a niche in this forum or not on: October 26, 2022, 02:33:10 PM

Hundred percent true. This is why I do not really look towards the forum ranking that much when I answer someone else's question. I sometimes visit Mining section and knowing that some lower "forum rank" users ask something that I do not even know what is it all about just tells that the forum ranking just means nothing.

A user could be a newbie rank by chances due to the forum system, but the knowledge of the user might say otherwise.
