801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] HYPER ~ Game Currency ~MMOs ~Poker ~ 20+ Servers~ShapeShift.io ~RPG +More! on: November 22, 2016, 07:57:16 AM
Is there any progress on finding a capable developer that's willing to do so though? And if so, what cost range are we looking at now?

I know of a couple people that can do it, not sure on the price yet though as I haven't asked. Waiting to see what the community decides for the route HYPER takes.

So far it's been pretty overwhelming to move to a new coin. As a new person to add to the dev list, this one has a good reputation: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=777604.0

Seems to be fairly affordable as well.

So it's been a while since either jackpot has been won... Which means that someone is due to hit them soon! So tough; I've been betting a decent amount the past couple days chasing these damn jackpots... And I feel like I'm close lol.

Good luck to whoever is after them, and congratulations (in advance) to whoever hits it!

I believe they're to the point where it's getting close to (if not already) +EV to bet when you take the JP into consideration. Would need to break it down and mathematize it to be sure though.

you will most likely win around 1% of your invested amount

It's 1% of the HE of bets, not whatever you invested.

I don't think that's right either is it?

That would mean moneypot is effectively taking a 99% commission and I doubt that's accurate.

Sorry, that was a typo. Should have been "It's 1% or the HE of bets." Which is also a simplification due to varying HE of different apps, but was posted simply to get the point across that you can't simply say "your investment will go up 1%."

What's up buddy?

What is the update of cube?

freestaking.com offline.

What happen?

iGotSpot where are you?

Looks like he's finally left. Only option is for us investors to take control of DigiCubes destiny.

Then someone needs to create services that rely on it. Coins have no value if they have no use. I'd love to see CUBE get to 5-10 sat but needs people behind it.
806  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🌟🎲🌟 MoneyPot.com on: November 21, 2016, 04:25:13 AM
What would happen to my invesment if I already earned a profit from winning against the gamblers? Would it be decreased or get affected once there's someone wons a bet? Thank you.

when you invest your money will be part of the bankroll so when a player losses it will be a win for you and if player wins it will be a lose for you. but in the long run since you are part of the house and have the house edge advantage you will most likely win around 1% of your invested amount

The amount earned for the entire bankroll is approximately 1% (or the HE of bets, due to varying apps) of wagered amount, not whatever you invested. So coming up with a % of your investment you'd earn is impossible, since it is entirely related to the volume, rather than an individual investment. However, your increase/decrease is related to how much you have invested and what the sway was. Just to illustrate:

BR is 100 BTC. You hold 1 BTC. Player lost 100 BTC. You earned 100% (1->2)
BR is 100 BTC. You hold 50 BTC. Player lost 100 BTC. You earned 100% (50->100)

It's estimated players will lose 1% of volume (or the HE of their respective app).
807  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: (JWL) JEWELS 🔷 HEROES LAUCHED 🔷 1ST JWL USE CASE 🔷 TRADING ON BITTREX on: November 19, 2016, 02:37:11 AM

Devs be devvin'.

We're currently actually uploading/editing the latest Jewels Talk where we focus on our monetization plans for the mini-games, Heroes and Rebirth. Once this is uploaded, I'll post the link.

The video also goes into our plans a bit on the notion of PR as others have brought up. Our first point of advertisement / awareness for Jewels will be centered on the mini-games we're developing as well as Heroes. While we currently do have things we can show for Heroes (screenshots/videos from in-game) we're really waiting on being able to demonstrate functionality from the mini-games so we can get the most out of our PR. It goes a long way to show relevant pictures and videos to what's being developed rather than abstract art that may look nice but really has nothing to do with the product being developed.

Also, when we were reviewing the video we noticed we forgot to mention how monetization will affect the burning of Jewels. To clarify on this for Heroes, it will be using a burn mechanism similar to what we have planned for the mini-games allowing all JWL holders to directly benefit in value-increase. In other words as the house wins, so do JWL holders also win Wink. We'll have specifics on this when the first mini-game is officially launched into production.

Love the update! Great information and a lot of transparency regarding the future. I'm really looking forward to seeing these things start coming to fruition!

I checked leader boards and I see that 1bigdaddy already wagered 5.62 BTC - so I guess XBOX will go to him.
This is the problem for me with 'top the leaderboards to win' type of promotions - only whales will get it and richer will get richer in the end.

I would love to see some other type of promos, not necessarily based on the idea that richer takes it all.

You don't need a lot to take a leaderboard position. First off, there's three places being paid. Second, it's based on volume, not amount in your BR. There's been people who wagered hundreds using 0.05 or less.

Pretty neat design. I like the simplicity.
I just wish the mobile view willbe the same as how the desktop view is organized. It's a bit confusing for me that it was lined up.
BetIDs is not clickable? I tried to click the betID of some users but it gives me nothing. Is it because I did not log in or because I was on mobile?
Bet ID is not clickable either when you login or if you use desktop.
Yes, I also checked it and it seems that it was really working that way. Maybe Dev forgot about it, but for sure he will fix it after seeing these comments. It is very important to be clickable to check the fairness of every bet.

Anyway @OP, the site is simple yet pretty good. Nice contest too.

As a temporary fix, you can use moneypot.com/bets/betid to look them up. So it's still provably fair.

I don't know, but I just pointed out one discrepancy between what's in the FAQ and what is actual policy. Wouldn't be that shocking to see another one.
Upon rechecking with the dev team, that is completely correct as it stands.

I made an error here:

Beginning December 1st, 2016, investors will share a 70% cut of the casino profit. This will change from the original 80%. This change is being made to accommodate the rapid growth of the site as more support will be required and additional administrative costs will be incurred. If you wish to divest your funds as a result of this change, please do so prior to December 1st 2016.

thanks for update. there is a question: does the casino share losses along with the winnings?
Sure, it player wins then investors loses and vice versa.

I think he's asking if investors, who only get 70% of the profit, only share 70% of the losses - with the house carrying the other 30%.

I believe that is not the case - I believe investors take 100% of losses.
Yes Lanzador, that's correct. Investors take 100% of losses.
We actually carry 20% of the losses as well.
Sorry for wrong answer and misunderstanding.

so in future u carry 30% or nothing? (just for my understanding)
From December 1st we'll cary 30% of profit and losses.

To tl;dr it, it's essentially just like you taking zero commission and simply owning 30% of the bankroll, right?

Someone added more to the 1 satoshi sell wall. It's now back up to 0.17 BTC, but still far below where it was a few days ago!

"Hey honey!"

 "What!?!?"

"I just scammed us $4.82 in bitcoins!"

"Hot dayum I luvz u! I'll call the meth dealer asap!"

Still a better love story than Twilight...

* high fives random *

D-d-do you think we should write a screenplay? Like right now? Right on this thread? I don't see anything else productive coming out of it.

Absolutely. But there's no werewolves or vampires. That's all been done to death. Instead, it's about a girl who falls in love with a boy, only to find out he's actually a human Bitcoin! And his family is at war with the Litecoins.

Ok but this has to appeal to the masses so when we mention bitcoin make sure that it's an evil connotation. So maybe he murders people in exchange for more bitcoins until he himself becomes a bitcoin? It's ok as long as it's negative.

Edit: and when they type a lot on screen make it really intense by saying things like "mainframe" and make sure every keystroke goes beep or boop. People love that shit.

The typing is easy enough. We'll just use this site and record while spamming keys. Problem solved!

We're also coming up with a new phrase: "Son of a Bitcoin!" This is what is going to take cryptos mainstream!

Anyone how I could possibly purchase a DSLR Camera with bitcoin?
I'm interested in purchasing a Canon EOS 70D. Are there any electronics vendors y'all know of
that accept BTC as payment, or do you know how I can easily convert to fiat?

OverStock offer excellent prices for Bitcoin purchases, and worldwide delivery.

I used it many times and was never disappointed.

My understanding is there's an issue with returns, though. Like you get the amount back in a gift card or something instead of BTC. I believe that was Overstock that does it like that (may have been Newegg).

Biggest Tab has been updated to show a players 24 hour wager included in the Biggest Wager past 24 hours spot

This was worded funny. To clarify, if your name isn't on the top 10, it will show your name at the bottom still.

i think spots gone for good

Yeah, this is irritating to me, to say the least. I thought he had vision, that he was really wanting to progress things and test new waters. It's why I supported him. I feel like he personally screwed me with this and the reason is just a cop-out for why he did it. The worst part is people warned me and I neglected to heed their warnings, because he had great ideas and seemed really anxious to test things.
