Those of you who were NOT credited, can you please confirm whether or not these were direct-to-app deposits or to the main MP wallet?

Mine was to main MP wallet.

Thanks

There appears to have been an issue during the move that broke some (or all?) deposits. It's being looked into and fixed asap. Will update here when more is known.

Kindly check the thread where you have posted this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0

If you want to get paid in BTC refer the above thread and see if any of the campaign have the slot free for your level. If yes apply and wait for them to confirm. Creating this thread will not result anything here.
Dude, he just told us that he doesn't want to be in a signature campaign.

And the other posts here are exactly why I feel non-spammers should be treated better than spammers. If fools like bitcoinisfuture spam and get paid the same as people that don't spam, all it does is promote everyone spamming. It's a destructive system. I mean, if you're going to say "I'll give you x to make a post. I don't care if you spam or not," there's absolutely no incentive to actually read/make real posts. Work smart, not hard.

I sent a deposit of 5 btc after the site was back up and was told it would be available after a single confirmation. I am showing at least 2 confirmations now and my funds are not available (show as unconfirmed on receive page), when can I expect to have these funds?

I sent a much smaller deposit (~5 mbtc) more than 1 day ago, while the site was down but before they requested we stop deposits/withdrawals - or at least before I noticed. The deposit has 205 confirmations and already appears to have been 'swept' into a master account, i.e. it has been withdrawn from my MP deposit address.

I'm not necessarily concerned or impatient. Like you, however, I am sort of waiting for the deposit to hit my account. For me, the site isn't really back up until it does ...

Thanks for your responses! Can you both please submit a ticket through the site so these can be looked into more thoroughly?

Everything should be up and running, as per the banner at the top: "We are in the final stages of upgrading our services. Our services are currently all up but may experience occasional downtime. Happy Betting."

Will be new downtime when they gonna add rbies?

Yes, but it will be a much faster one now that the server transfers are finished.

1309  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should I invest in bitcoin casinos? on: July 14, 2016, 05:06:10 AM
I agree with those who say it is quite a risk. But if you're going to invest than choose at least an old strong casino, because all these new things appearing a lot are very unreliable
My opinion it that it is not actually risky at all,if you can find good,trust-worthy bitcoin casino.
I use crypto-games,and it is really fine for me,i get decent money everyday,so i like it Smiley
That is pretty good to hear, it is good to have a daily income by investing in a casino but I think we need to put up a decent amount to be able to enjoy our profit otherwise we will be tempted to gamble our money.

It's like anything else, the more you invest, the more you can earn/lose. This should be obvious. If you bought 1 share of APPL and it doubled, you'd be up by 1xInvested. If you bought 500 shares of APPL and it doubled you'd be up 1xInvested. Your increase as a % is the same, but you earned more. Not sure why so many people still don't get this obvious concept.
1310  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I never spent any savings on Bitcoin and I'm not broke on: July 14, 2016, 04:33:37 AM
If I had invested my savings in Bitcoin would it be more likely to be broke? Cheesy

Do you keep your savings in a currency that loses value over time?

I love that question. I don't think most people realize that fiat is inflationary by nature. If you bought a brand new house in 1970 that cost $30k, it'd be $250k in today's money. So if you had put that $30k in a bank/cash, you'd have essentially LOST $230k, or 90% of your money. And this is a GUARANTEED loss because that's how fiat is.

why three digits added to my nickname in breakoutpoker client after update ?
was - casper77
thus - casper77221
Oh That's easy:
      7 + (7 x 2) = 21
      and 21 is 3 x 7 = 777
Can't get luckier than that.

(Really stretching for things to do since I am not playing poker.)

1312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Didn't know I can loss all without winning anything on: July 13, 2016, 09:00:24 AM
slots are brutal... at least you only lost .02 and not a bunch of real cash in a casino.
In reno my cousin kept going to the ATM and lost around $800 bucks in the night.  Just glad
I was playing poker and not playing slots.

I watched a guy playing blackjack.

-$600
*goes to ATM*
-$600
*goes to ATM*
-$600...

He repeated this a total of 5 times (-$3600 total) before he says "Well, I have to be up early tomorrow for work so I'm done." Was crazy watching him and the dealer said the guy comes in a couple times a week and loses a ton. He also has a rule on tipping: if he wins the hand, he tips $10. If he loses it, he tips $5. On every single hand.
1313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losing investment on Gambling sites on: July 13, 2016, 08:27:11 AM

Was planing to invest on a gambling site since they said its a gauranteed profit since the house can't lose but I'm still skeptical about it, i don't have much BTC so I have to make sure whether its going to be profitable for me.  What possibilities could happen to the gambling site i wanted to invest into and how am i going to lose my investment in such a manner?

Two big issues:
-site being hacked
-site owner leaving with the coins

Appart from those two possibilities, you should be perfectly fine Wink

True, the two biggest risks into investing dice-sites.

Those risks are present with literally any crypto business. Don't risk more than you can afford to lose and you're golden.
1314  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should I invest in bitcoin casinos? on: July 13, 2016, 07:52:01 AM
don't try it and i think better never trying invest at gambling site, it's like ponzi scheme, also the casino can manipulate total win and lost

I agree with you, although the casino has a house edge, which I believe homeowners should always prevail. but they could manipulate the investment fund, if they lose a lot.

It gets worse than that. I can't think of the name of it but there was a dice site around 2014 to early 2015 that launched and was personally tested by me to see the true results of investing. There was no play at the time (it was fresh) and I found that when you made a bet and won, 100% of the amount was removed from the investor bankroll. When you made a bet and LOST, 50% was still removed from the investor bankroll. Essentially, every single bet was removing funds from the investors. Owner ended up closing down the site as a result, but definitely something to be aware of.

Deal with reputable sites and you shouldn't have any issues.
1315  Economy / Services / Selling Signature Space on: July 13, 2016, 07:49:05 AM
Hey all! I'm looking to sell my signature space. Most of you who have been around a while are familiar with me. I've dealt with hundreds of people through the forums, but don't have a ton of "trust" (green) because I'm not a trust whore. That said, I've been a member of more projects around here than I can count and have genuinely enjoyed my time around here. And with that said, I'm looking to sell my signature (and possibly my avatar space).

Feel free to toss me a PM if you want to work something out. I'm willing to work out something weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly, but do not want anything that's tied to post count. I don't spam, and I think that promotes the complete opposite of engaging content since it pushes FOR spam.

Also, don't push me towards any of the current signature campaigns. Pretty much all of them allow spammers, and I don't want to be put on the same level as that type of destructive behavior.

I will not respond to any posts that are not directly related to the request. Read the post. Tired of seeing dozens off off-topic replies to things that are posted just for post counts.

Oh, and TO THE MOON, BITCOIN!
1316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should I invest in bitcoin casinos? on: July 13, 2016, 07:27:14 AM

Basing on past profit, I expect casino where I'm investing to provide 60% per year.

Obviously this cant be true and the amount depend on the amount that you invest on the site, if you have only around 1% of the total bankroll then there is no way that you will get 60% a year unless it is a site which is as popular as primedice and has around 10k btc wagered per week

Uh, your % per year is irrelevant of your amount. If you hold 1/100 BTC and it goes up by 100 BTC, you earned 100% (now have 2/1=100% increase). If you held 5/100 and it went up by 100 BTC, you'd have earned 100% (now have 10/5=100% increase). Basic math.

I really wish some of you guys grasped simple concepts. It's painful to have to explain this crap.
I don't really rely on ratios because I still believe in the end that investing in a casinos is profitable, I have a conservative projection of my investment and I would be happy if I can hit like 50% a year.

MP would have you up 100%+ over the past 7 months if you invested in December, :p.
That's great to hear, but the recent DDOS attack of the site makes some of the investors move, I mean does it affect the players as well to move out. Why Moneypot is so profitable to invest compared to other sites? I really don't get it although I have invested a little amount.

DDoS has affected nothing in terms of players OR investors. Its BR now tops 1.5k and it's been hitting the highest volumes it's had during that period. A DDoS only shows one thing: that there's true competition. If anything, it's flattering. Annoying? Yes. But it proves that the site is truly heading in the right direction.

Why is it so profitable compared to others? Can't really say on that. But it's constantly being worked on, enhanced, and expanded upon to bring the best possible experience to investors, players, and app owners alike. And technically speaking, the highest ROI one I know of (at least on a pure "you invested x and now you have y" is Just-Dice, where you'd be up over 500%, but CLAM, its supported currency, is down to 1/8 or so of what it was worth so on a pure BTC basis you'd be down).

Edit: I also want to stress that I'm in no way saying to invest, nor that any of this is representative of the future. It's how it's reacted in the past and everyone's personal situation (in regards to financial state) is different.

I have to say i don't like this so long maintence mode moneypot is having now. I am testing their investment option, see how much i can earn a day and such with some small deposits with the idea to go more aggressive soon. This period of maintence where i can't access my funds are not good at all.

At least i see some movment from moneypot side on this thread, i also sent an email before to their support asking some API question and never got a response back, it was not an important question but there was no response, i can't imagine to have a big investment on this site while they go into maintence mode for this long periods of time ...

hope it gets fixed but unfortunatly moneypot is going down on my investment site list as more hours without service pass.

MP is currently dealing with a 25GB+ DB, plus a full move from one server to another where there's a lot more control (old method could only do a DB dump and import, which is highly inefficient, at best). This is why it's going through the longer than normal maintenance period. This is also a MAJOR upgrade to the network/infrastructure. So it's not just a small update. MP is making huge strides forward, and you're more than welcome to join us on the journey!

Good news for seeds maybe?

Not quite getting the question. Please elaborate?

Oh typo I meant speeds of betting and such.

Ah, yes, absolutely! Was confused because when v2 is rolled out, it does include a change to the RNG algorithm (including nonce-based bets for much faster processing, akin to sites like JD and the like).

But even with the v1, the new setup is far more efficient and faster so it's a win all-around!
