901  Economy / Gambling / Re: Seuntjies DiceBot -Multi-Site, multi-strategy betting bot for dice. With Charts! on: November 04, 2016, 06:22:56 AM
Hey, Seuntjie, couple questions:

1) Any ETA/update regarding BitDice.Me?
2) On the Stats window, can you make an addition? If a user has it set to stop at a specific amount, add this and the difference between current/desired balance in it. I see it working alongside the "Current Balance" text (there's plenty of room), such as:

Set desired balance 2 BTC. Current balance is 1 BTC. Text would show:

Current Balance: 1.00000000 BTC | 2.00000000 BTC (-1.00000000 BTC)

Or something along those lines. Easier to track progress that way, Smiley.
902  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🌟🎲🌟 MoneyPot.com on: November 03, 2016, 03:46:13 PM
Ok guys. I havent reply the last 2 days becouse this is all bad PR for MP and as i say before i love MP and the Community and dont want to put more Gasoline into the fire so i stop it!

There are 2 ways no. You creat a new Thread with all the conversation about the Investigation or you keep spamming this thread, what for new players they search for a page looks really good!!!!!

I say as lead dev you should not have a App and not gamble so high you have done at your app. You should know it better the house always win (ahhh wait you are the house Wink )
If there would be no app a few questions would be gone and never ask!

What difference does it make if I were to wager on my app vs other app owners or any other app for that matter. If you look at my stats, I have net losses just about everywhere on the board.

My app was created in a effort to add to the MP portfolio. It was my goal that another app could help increase volume at MP. It is that reason that I even offered partial ownership to the MP team.

The app isn't even finished yet. Why? Because I've been 100% focused to the development of API V2. Furthermore, my app will serve as an untitled dice variation for V2.

This is my personal feeling about it! It has a bad taste for me! If you think a bit more about it as i wrote down in the quote "The House always win"
What would you say if RHaver play at Bab? Yes of course he win he know the "outcomes" becouse he have the last Hash as Dev Cheesy this only as a tip.

But sorry i dont know you as Dev.
You can ask on every chat who i m and you will get a feedback and not only at moneypot.

My last comment about all this is, why do the Investigation Team doesnt see this 6dig seed on every bet?
It takes me 5sec. to see this!

And last as final word, please App owners stop attacking each other! At the situation we/you must stay toghether and not fight against eacht other!
MP is a big family. You see the most players on all apps and everybody know each other (the players they are online every day).

Edit:

I don't work for moneypot so I can't say anything about how the serverseed / raw outcome is generated.
But we just tried running the around 960,000 bets on our app through a script that split the bets into 32 outcome ranges and they are very evenly distributed.
No group varied by more than 1.87% from the mathmatical average which is as expected from a relatively small data set.

Nice that other peoples also check thinks!!

THX VegasCasinoBits

To be perfectly honest with you I don't really gamble online. I will play on occasion to kill time. If you and others are uncomfortable with me wagering on MoneyPot, I'll forfeit any further activity outside small test wagers which I will do on occasion for QA and app testing. I do not have an issue with this, there are plenty of places to play outside of MoneyPot.

I do the best I can to ensure that MoneyPot remains productive. I have done a lot to the infrastructure that may go unnoticed. I want MoneyPot to succeed just as much as you.

I completely agree that MP is family. I have expressed that desire before. A lead on one app could easily turn into a lead on another. App owners need to embrace one another and promote the platform together. Even before this investigation, there has been feuds between various app owners.

--

The question is would you invest on a site, where you see the dev playing, well knowing that he could always take some coins from you and you would have no way to prove it ?
It's one thing to know about the possibility, but another to see it happening.

Trust is the most highly valued good you can offer, so you should do everything to keep it as high/good as possible.

Besides that, I dont see a reason why you shouldnd be allowed to have your own app.
Maybe if you would show only your app as featured or something in that direction, it would be another story.

On that same line of thinking, the bankroll could also be manually decreased and you would have no proof, either. You either trust site owners or you don't. And this goes for every betting site.
903  Economy / Securities / Re: Anyone willing to stake me? on: November 03, 2016, 12:32:00 AM
If I don't place ITM then I simply pay them back out of my own pocket on payday. But again my stats are extremely high. I profit 1.2k roughly a month. I did have a bad month this month which is why I'm looking for the stake but that's extremely rare for me

If you had a stronger rep and were a much more known person in the community, I'd do this. But this is risky for two reasons:

1) You have nothing to lose if you run
2) If you lose, refer back to #1
3) If you win, refer back to #1

This is akin to someone on the street coming up to us and saying "bro, there's a tournament for 100k. Give me $10 and I'll give you 20% of the winnings. I'm good at poker!" while wearing a cloak and using a voice changer.
904  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] HYPER ~ Game Currency ~MMOs ~Poker ~ 20+ Servers~ShapeShift.io ~RPG +More! on: November 02, 2016, 07:20:33 AM
coin2 and hyper should join together really - double up on community

get some funds together and get a decent wallet for a combined coin with both communities joining as one.

coin2 has polo listing and hyper has a large community.

If we did this forged a new coin got rid of the old dev pot and had a new coin issue like clams did only with coin2 and hyper instead and also got a multi sig development pot that was released for milestones met we could do something. Right now both coins are struggling with no leadership and no funds to attract development teams.

However both have reasonable communities in place and listings on main exchanges.

Either that or take a vote here to get a new developer on board and allow them to forge a new coin with a built in development pot that is released to them only over time for continued support and development.

Be good though to combine coin2 and hyper and enable the new coin to be released as clams did but on a ratio to their market caps as they are now. Or an average of what they have been on the last 6 months.

This is an interesting idea combining two coins.   Interesting but scary imho.  What would Hyper gain from combining with coin2, other than a possible poloniex listing?  I am really not sure this is a good idea, but am open to suggestions and persuasion.

Polo can make all the difference. The communities of both are semi active (hyper is larger) however if we were to get some big news like joining into one big project and were to contact via pm all people that have ever posted in either thread (bot needed) then we could get some momentum and traction here. Perhaps null the hyper dev pot wallet if the dev has gone. Form a new coin with pos3 or posp or even a totally different code base.

It should not be difficult to find a developer who can

1. have a new dev pot we create from the new coin - multi sig - coins only released for milestones
2. gets a large old community ready from both coin2 and hyper. Both coins are old and quite established neither are new shitcoins that vanish in a fw weeks. It is sad King is gone I'm sure he would have been up for this.

Need to get on it fast though because at this rate both projects will be dead inside a few months if not.

Need a lite wallet for gamers...they won't wait around for full wallets to sync. Either that or there is a decent guy around here that runs a service of blockchain backups. Knows a lot about pos coins too.

We must aquire a developer. However will need incentive. A full coin swap process will be required of course unless we make a copy of the clams type thing where you can just put your coin2 or hyper wallets in and it will allocate coins.

I mean if we join together then it should be done on an average MC over the last 6 months. A ratio of new coin awarded thus.

Right now both communities are on the verge of collapse really. No devs no direction. However both have still a lot going for them if we can turn it around right now.
We have some good characters in these communites. Sad to see them leave for other communites if c2 and hyper fizzle out.

I'd be fine with a new coin and trade-ins moving forward. I support this project and will absolutely stick around and help out where I can if the communities can pull together and make things actually happen. I really can't take a lead role or anything, though, as I have a lot going on currently, but I can definitely help out with advisory and other things.
905  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🌟🎲🌟 MoneyPot.com on: November 02, 2016, 07:14:12 AM

I don't know what to make of this. Surely as site owner you understand how the seeds work. Why did you post that it would take 6 minutes to do something that would take less than a thousandth of a second in reality, and then edit your post when called out on it?

I'm sure people would be very interested to hear your explanation for this.

that means that my question was not that stupid and I thought it was stupid cause I got no answer
I need just to add now to my question if it was also possible on our Lottery and not only on bubbles
he used at Lottery the bot - would the split sec knowledge work when botting? I am asking cause I was wondering that he changed a few times to 10 sat bets and back to higher wager or to 5/25 and back to 6/49 but I am not sure if it was also on the day he hit the 6/6

but if MP or anyone ( I cant = n00b) can check his betting log on the day he hit 6/6 and he changed to 5/25 and did a 10 sat wager and back to 6/49 then I would have something to tell and it might be helpful

would you please explain what you mean and what was wrong with DD explanation

I'm not really sure, I don't really understand what he means. With knowledge of the server seed, it probably only takes a few hundred CPU cycles to figure out the required client seed to win. (let x be a random number in the winning range. Then use a client seed of:  (x -serverseed) % 2^32.   Or i mean, if you're lazy and want to brute force a client seed -- there's only 4 billion possibilities, and it's a simple range check, so you can scan the entire range in under a second. But you don't even need to scan the entire range, as there's probably at least 50 possible client seeds (if you're randomly searching) so it's an extremely fast operation.

I understood NotTardy was betting manually at bubbles. would this 1 second check you are describing be enough to know many sure bets or all bets he did? or would he fire some gamble bets with low amounts till he gets the next big bet right? is this a possible scenario?

thx

Technically, and this is purely hypothetical, a second would be enough time if the entire process were automated through a script (script would latch into DB, pull info, figure out client seed, then push a bet to your site or whatever site as if it were a bot). That said, I want to stress that we have found zero traces of breaches anywhere within any of the servers, nor the DB itself. The whole "could they come up with a valid seed" was just a test because we're trying to cover all bases.

Your second question, about doing bets until he feels like he's going to hit... this has done people a lot of good on other sites but is gambler's fallacy. i.e., I remember back in the day when people used to sell pre-loss accounts on JD (not sure if they still do?), where you'll, say, lose 10x in a row at 49.5% and then sell the account to someone who assumes they have a better chance of winning the next since it's more rare to get 11x losses in a row. It was a pretty funny thing at the time, and haven't seen it since it changed to CLAM, but worth noting as gambler's routinely have their own processes/thoughts/"lucky" methods.

I just bought 5m coins, how do i get my wallet to sync?

Hi ChinkyEyes,

You do not need a wallet, just create an account on https://poswallet.com/login.php, then deposit your coins there and wait. POS do the job.

If i remember correctly, by doing a deposit on this website, there are some % fee ( around 5 i guess). Just deposit, then forget your coins.

That's what i did some time ago, and i recovered the fee i paid.

If you have any other questions feel free,

B.

 Wink

Edit:

I would suggest you NOT use PoSWallet. They had a list of coins they were delisting. On the date they announced it, there were 2 coins. Two days later they added a third. A few days later they added a fourth. And then the day BEFORE removing all of the coins, they added another to the list, less than 12 hours after it was appended to it. I was then told I could no longer withdraw the coins in the 5th set because there was "ample time" to do so, despite having no warning up until less than 12 hours before they did it.

In other words, if they're removing VTC at some point, you likely will NOT have enough time to remove them, and will lose all your coins. Do NOT trust them.
907  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🌟🎲🌟 MoneyPot.com on: November 02, 2016, 05:46:08 AM
What we found was even with our own knowledge of the server seed, it would take us on average 6 minutes to find a match within the range that triggers the jackpot using both incremental and random client seed pairings.

Don't you just add the client and server seeds together? If so, to "find a match", all you need to do is subtract the server seed from the result you want, and that gives you the client seed (modulo 2^32 or whatever you use). It took me less than 6 minutes to type this. I'm sure you could do the math in less than 6 seconds.

The reason this is significant is because the bets that were placed while hitting the jackpot were on autobet and were < 5 seconds apart (which is an almost impossible time to both calculate a winning result and submit a bet while keeping in rhythm the timing of previous auto bets).

This indicates to us that the jackpot win was legitimate.

I don't know what to make of this. Surely as site owner you understand how the seeds work. Why did you post that it would take 6 minutes to do something that would take less than a thousandth of a second in reality, and then edit your post when called out on it?

I'm sure people would be very interested to hear your explanation for this.

Is this a joke or an allusion I'm missing?

I've no idea, but since you posted that he has edited his post to completely change its meaning.

Original post:

Just to keep everyone in the loop, we have conducted several tests today.

Most of them were an investigation into the big jackpot win from Jackpotracer which started the whole momentum of winning.

What we found was even with our own knowledge of the server seed, it would take us on average 6 minutes to find a match within the range that triggers the jackpot using both incremental and random client seed pairings.

Replacement post:

We understand that these type of losses make investors nervous (Moneypot too has a fair portion of the bankroll and absorbed building losses), so we are doing our due diligence and checking everything out that we can.

This however does not justify wild accusations against the player or against Moneypot themselves.  We are opening up as much information as possible and encourage users to investigate in case they find something (there is also a decently sized reward if an exploit is found).

"We are opening up as much information as possible" is inconsistent with editing old posts to remove inconvenient information. What's going on, guys?

The tl;dr is that we were overcomplicating it. Ray and Ryan already discussed this in PM and clarified it. What we were doing before that was taking the server seed and randomly generating client ones until one got the result we wanted. Keep in mind this is after hours of combing through other data, analyzing things, responding to numerous requests, etc. We're trying to be as transparent as possible.

Doge's post edit was due to the clarification that there was a better way to get the seed. It was nothing about hiding information or anything, just removing anything that may further cause confusion (being that it was incorrect) by readers.

True, he could also simply use a future server seed,r ight?

Server seed is generated on every bet so even if someone had direct access to the database, they would only know the next seed, not any past that.

Congratulations again to NotTardy who was firing off huge bets for a 45 minute stretch.

For public notice, we will be once again doing a quick investigation into the matter and will be posting a public log of the session soon.  If anyone has information that would assist in the investigation, it's highly encouraged to contact us.

Congrats again NotTardy

what information are you looking for?

JPR its just a normal investigation that we typically conduct for large winners.

ok thats fine for me and for sure for NotTardy

but doge' posting sounded a bit more troubled and not like a normal investigation cause he asked if people have info

If anyone has information that would assist in the investigation, it's highly encouraged to contact us.

imo very smart to do because you see all to investigate and me for example or others cant see what you guys see but others could have ideas and my tip is to check his betting pattern cause I watched it. not saying that he cheated or tricked but always nice to see the betting pattern of winners

We are simply trying to cover everything.

We have been constantly reviewing the bet logs and are doing our best to check all that we can for the sake of our investors.

We are not above asking for help if in the event we missed something.

Public log: http://pastebin.com/4cQik4uZ (too big to post in forum)

What exactly are the column headings for these logs?

Can you make the spreadsheet that lists investors public? Or even send in a PM if needed? There are four separate numbers given out in this thread now:

1) The latest report you gave
2) The addition of Cryptomerian's investment
3) The current investment breakdown on first post
4) The actual total funds on first post

This would be a great help in deciding what to do.

I've sent you the list through PM just now.

Thanks! That helped a lot.

Couple more questions, now...

1) Dividends are paid in BTC, correct? If so, how much of the increase in value do they encapsulate? Like let's say the value of investments in month 1 went up 3.4% (as reported). How much is paid out in dividends and how much is reinvested?

2) How do dividends affect things like Steem? Based on my understanding, the increase in value here would not be liquid, correct (as in held on the Steemit site)?

3) How can we liquidate our position within the investment? What are the rules for doing so?

4) Can we do DRIP (Dividend ReInvestment Program) instead of taking dividends?
