961  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would you like to see on betting platforms? on: August 25, 2023, 09:38:50 PM
An alternative to KYC. That's what I would like to see. I understand the importance of the KYC procedure but I still do not feel safe handing anyone, especially hackable, centralised platforms my government issued documents which could be used for shady purposes or worse, identity theft.

Perhaps some form of special ID or a NFT ID could be used? A third party would do the KYC once and issue an NFT ID which is acceptable in all betting websites?
962  Economy / Gambling / Re: Thought's on many major fiat-crypto payment gateways ditching casino business's? on: August 25, 2023, 02:42:08 PM
Hey guys, so I've been doing some digging into fiat-crypto casino payment gateways specifically. Right now Stake.com and Bc.game use Moonpay for their "buy crypto" function, however after contacting Moonpay, Transak and a few other major fiat-crypto payment gateways I've learned that these providers no longer accept new casino business.

In the case of Moonpay they are upholding their existing agreements with casino providers (for now I guess) but new operators are only being accepted with casino licenses in the UK and USA (both of which require their own unique gaming licenses) as well as a reputable international license (e.g. curacao, malta, antigua etc.).

Transak on the other hand are just straight up removing themselves from the gambling industry altogether.

I think it's a real shame that new providers won't have access to reputable fiat to crypto on-ramps, it creates an uneven playing field as the big guys get treated differently.

I think it's a huge regulatory (and therefore very expensive) issue, therefore it's easier for them to stop offering crypto-purchasing services. Most people know how to buy cryptocurrency on a crypto exchange, such as Binance,  and then send the coins to their casino wallet. So it's a matter of casinos offering a small convenience for customers. Maybe they can no longer outsource the responsibilities which come along with offering such a "customer service"?
963  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can everyone in the world have bitcoin. on: August 25, 2023, 12:06:04 PM
As far as I understand it, there is no way to divide a Satoshi into multiple parts, therefore if the human population was a greater number than all the satoshis in the world, then it would not be possible for everyone in the world to own Bitcoin. But that's unrealistic if you think about how many satoshis there are. More realistic would be to say that not everyone in the world can own 1 BTC or more, since there are only 21 million that can exist. This is a good thing since the value of Bitcoin will keep going up and will never be subjected to inflation.
964  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much it cost to most ALL internet with your casino advertisement? $6.2m/d on: August 25, 2023, 11:56:37 AM
How much would it cost to most ALL internet with your casino advertisement? I mean just for one day?!

It is common to think that there is quite not much places to advertise your casino nowadays, right? Me and my team have found all accesible places to post your advertisement, and it is:

  • 3718 Gambling/iGaming Telegram Channels;
  • 1007 Gambling/iGaming Discord Servers;
  • 98 Gambling/iGaming Forums;
  • 329 Gaming & iGaming Marketing Agencies;
  • 819 Gambling/iGaming Media Outlets;
  • 1315 Gambling/iGaming Rating Websites;
  • 2461 Gambling/iGaming Instagram Accounts;
  • 1666 iGaming-related Facebook Accounts (1097 groups, 569 personal accounts);
  • 126 Gambling/iGaming Reddit Communities (with optimal posting times);
  • 2718 Gambling/iGaming YouTube Channels (with contact details);
  • 2505 Gambling/iGaming Twitch Channels;
  • 977 Gambling/iGaming TikTok Accounts;
  • 2152 iGaming-Related Twitter Accounts (for a comprehensive social media overview)

it is 19,562 places (actual on April 2023).

Lets try to count,

average Telegram post is ~$50, average discord post is ~$20, forum is up to $100, media outlet is $250, for rating-reviews site is about $800, instagram is up to $100, facebook is about ~$60, reddit comms is average ~$200, Youtube release is about $1000, twitch stream is about ~$500, ticktock is average $100, and twitter post is about $150...

so if we multiply everything on everything we will get.. $6,234,850.00 per one day.

Here is my calculation to check (and also list of about 200 top websites, discords, forums, media and twitters to check): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1BYc7otdNjCEUvBf8KWz72zjXDAEmVqGtSzCWPQCvKik/edit#gid=1996305011

well, not that expensive, after all Smiley

Interesting calculation! It makes me wonder how effective a 6 million dollar marketing campaign can become when talking about return on advertising investment. Although I am not sure on how correct youlr data is or where you got it from. I cannot imagine rating reviews to be worth 800 USD unless the rating person is someone really famous or something. How much of a reach do you expect with all these marketing campaigns?
965  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is copy trading a viable option for newcomers? on: August 25, 2023, 10:38:30 AM
Copy trading has gained immense popularity in the crypto industry since its introduction. Bitget, being one of the pioneers in this field, remains one of the largest platforms for copy trading cryptocurrencies. Many consider it an appealing choice for beginners, but is it truly effective for those who are new to trading?

I believe that copy trading is a bit pointless unless you are 100 percent sure that you want to trust a total stranger not to make losses more than profits. Personally, I would not trust anyone or anything other than myself to do my trading.

The best thing for a newbie to do is to practice with test coins on a testnet. There are even good testnets for derivatives trading, once you get the hang of spot trading.

Personally I prefer deribit testnet . But there are others.
966  Economy / Gambling / Re: My Take on iGaming Promotion Through Social Media on: August 25, 2023, 09:26:49 AM
I think that gambling advertising  on social media is ineffective and very expensive, since gambling is basically prohibited in most social media

From my own personal experience in working in marketing, I would have to respectfully disagree with you. Any talented promoter or social media growth hacker worth his salt would know how to navigate the bans on gambling advertising and create a decent marketing campaign using social media.

This person is en route to becoming the third-biggest BTC address in the world. Shocked It started accumulating in May and has not sold a single satoshi.

Just your above-average whale shark casually swimming in the Bitcoin sea.

https://dailyhodl.com/2023/08/21/mysterious-bitcoin-whale-accumulates-over-3087545354308754535-worth-of-btc-in-less-than-three-months/

Looks like institution investors are just moving their money around. I am not sure of the reason, but something is probably happening behind the scenes. As usual, the small folk will be the last to find out. But whatever happens, do not let volatile price movements spook you into selling your coin. Otherwise you will be playing into their hands, and they will gleefully gobble up your discounted coin.
968  Economy / Economics / Re: Which problem will you choose to solve? on: August 24, 2023, 01:53:22 PM
Solving the problem of one rich person can save thousands of jobs so it depends on who is that rich person and what is their problem.

If you see more replies that say to solve the problems of more poor people then its not a wonder because that is the right thing from an ethical Point of View.

I do not think it is wise to assume that by solving a rich persons problem, that this will automatically transfer to the problem solving of the poor people. In most cases, it will make the rich person richer, while the poor stay poor. The rich have no qualms about exploiting the poor, even when it is  completely unnecessary. All they care about are their own egos and money. Look at Elon Musk. What exactly has he done to further humanity? Only empty promises and ego-stroking on social media.
969  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best Cryptocurrency Casino in 2023? Share Your Experience! on: August 24, 2023, 12:44:08 PM
For me, good crypto casinos should be no kyc.

This year a found that Flush Casino is a good one, and the 2nd is LTC Casino.

Also, BitKong is a good choice for those who playing only provably-fair games.

Any no-kyc casino cannot be called "good". In fact such a casino is a huge red flag and probably a scam site. Every casino which is legitimate is regulated and kyc is a huge part of following the mentioned regulations. Of course there are exceptions to this rule but I think that it's better to be safe than sorry

This isn't true since the best casinos are no KYC. They don't scam you using KYC as the excuse. They don't freeze your account for months.

That is not a good argument. Although I am usually against any KYC, in the case of centralised platforms, which are heavily regulated and watched by governments, KYC makes sense. Furthermore, unless you break the terms and conditions, no decent online casino will bother "scamming" you. If you are worried about that, do your KYC before you deposit funds. Although if you are from a banned country, you will obviously not pass it.
970  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I can’t cope on my own. What do you think I should do? on: August 23, 2023, 09:35:55 PM
I have been into sports betting for a while now and i am not really proud of my earliest experience in gambling, i feel like i am the most unlucky person in the world i lost a lot of games and also i lost a lot of money. I had knowledge about football and basketball games and they were my most picked games and even so I kept losing all my bets and even when i try to play safe i still end up losing and whenever i ask my friends for games we still end up losing the bet then i got tired and in the end i gave up and tried to quit gambling and I left it for some months. During this period my friends made a lot of money gambling and i was envious of them but it didn’t made me change my mind to start gambling over again.

Some months later i came across a telegram channel and i joined, it was a gambling channel that posted free sports bets for its users and there is also a VIP section where users subscribe for some sure games. I am well aware of all these techniques used by scammers so I decided to observe the channel and follow up games posted and I discovered he won most of the games and had about 80% victory rate. Then after some time I decided to try my luck again so I played one of his games and i won i was so happy and it was as though the curse placed on me has been lifted and I tried some more games and i won again and again and since the beginning of the new season i only lost twice and i am now proud of my gambling achievements.

According to the channel free games are limited and we can only enjoy for a month and now the month is almost over and only VIPs will be entitled to games when the month elapses. I have been having doubts whether to join the VIP zone because I don’t want to be scammed that’s why i want to know your opinions.

 What do you all think i should do?

Gambling on telegram is a definite no.

You should trust your first gut feeling or "instincts". If something is too good to be true then it probably isnt. Furthermore you already know that telegram is a cesspool of scammers and shady services. They use psychological methods to lure in their victims. The fact that they not only caught your attention but managed to keep you interested is a big warning sign. Don't ignore it.

I've had the best luck, the fastest withdrawal and deposits from https://www.bitcoincasino.us/ they do require a 3x wager of amount deposit but the cash out immediately. What do any of you think?

Sorry but that casino looks shady to me. If you google their ratings, they have extremely bad ratings. And a lot of people are throwing dirt on the casinos reputation.

Before playing on any online gambling casino, it is always smart to first check what people are saying about it, how it's ratings look like and if there are any scam accusations against that particular casino website.

In any case, I will be staying away. I see lots of red flags...
973  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin negatives on: August 22, 2023, 05:54:32 PM
Bitcoin:

93% premine to anyone born today.

100% premine to anyone born in 2140.

Causes toxic waste material (even hal said this).

Waste of energy that could be used to solve cancer or feed people (hal said this).

1 person can be 50% of the network.

Fiat can buy all the miners and coins, Central bankers still win.

People have been killed for it and tortured (sure this happens with fiat but the blood is on your hands now).

Network fee only goes back to miners this leaves no funding for roads, garbage, schools, medicare or disabled veterans.

1-3 hour transactions

high network fee cost more than the coffee you are buying

Only 1 miner wins in the end then it becomes centralized, he can push all the other miners out. This will be the FED.
this simulation proves it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q41RW6bxpM4

All your arguments have nothing to do with Bitcoin itself. But I will try to go through your list with solutions, point by point.

1. A capped supply is a good thing, unless you prefer inflation because the supply keeps being artificially pumped.

2. Bitcoin does not cause toxic waste. Miners do. But so do personal computers and phones. That's not a Bitcoin problem.

3. Energy problems are rooted in how we produce energy. Blaming the consumers in how they use energy is backwards thinking.

4. 1 person could theoretically own 50% of the network. But thanks to POW, that's not realistic.

5. You can buy miners with BTC.

6. Network fees are not that high. See lightning network.
974  Economy / Gambling / Re: Help us build the greatest crypto casino on: August 22, 2023, 04:36:29 PM
Hi guys !

I'm following up on my previous thread "Opinion on crypto casino project". It's pretty clear that building a decentralised crypto casino isn't viable. Therefore, going for a centralised platform is the way to go. Now, in order to differentiate ourselves from the crowd it seems that providing a world class customer experience is the most realistic opportunity.

So the purpose of this thread is very simple, as a crypto casino player what particular challenges, problems, or complaints do you have ? Or what particular improvements would you wish to see in your favorite casinos ?

Thanks for the help !

I think the first and largest problem in building a casino from the ground up, whether physical or online, is going to be the amount of money which is required. Unless you somehow convince some very wealthy investors in joining you in this venture, I think you might be in for a rough road and a dead end.
975  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Serious Sportsbet problem, they paid 38.32 LTC to the wrong address on: August 22, 2023, 02:54:06 PM
Hello, sorry that I only registered to warn of this problem that I had today with Sportsbet.io I won a live bet of 38.32 LTC, I proceeded to request a withdrawal, which was pending for a while, until it was approved, but I was surprised that it was paid to an unknown address that did not belong to me, I wrote to the chat and they said that they cannot be held responsible because the money has already left them and the problem is mine, so is it possible that they can pay the direction they want and just wash their hands?

Unfortunately it is a drawback of the anonymity of cryptography, and it is your word against mine, I have been earning about $4000 in the last few weeks with withdrawals without problems, and there is no reason for me to want to trouble them if they have already paid me. I would like you to recommend a solution, Sportsbet has only washed its hands, and they probably believe that they are infallible by copying and pasting addresses, I only ask that they investigate it, I leave the transaction id and the LTC address where my money was paid:
ID: 29d6872171596eac7edf443da01a5b0e5fcd879c11655e11c83d738e82d32f5a

LTC address: MTiJxudm8tTcCrLwwNsykcRaUGoHjMFaAs

Sounds like to me that you most likely could have fallen victim to a clipboard hijacking malware, which was imbedded itself into your system, possibly from downloading files from dubious websites. The malware changes what you paste. So that it pasted a different address. You should always triple check your addresses.
976  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin does not provide full anonymity on: August 21, 2023, 09:37:56 PM
Bitcoin is commonly referred to as "pseudonymous" rather than fully anonymous. Although transactions are registered on the public blockchain, the connection between wallet addresses and individuals' identities isn't direct. Nevertheless, transactions are traceable and subject to analysis. Additional information can potentially link specific transactions to certain individuals or groups. It's worth mentioning that privacy-improving methods can heighten anonymity while utilizing Bitcoin, yet absolute anonymity isn't an inherent aspect of the protocol.

People confuse the word privacy with the word anonymous.

If you connect your real life identity to your Bitcoin wallet address then obviously someone will know who that address belongs to. And by someone I mean any centralised platform under control of an entity (who has to follow whatever regulations the government tells them to follow). In most common cases this means cryptocurrency exchanges which have your kyc.

Bitcoin was never meant to be anonymous. Criminals who want anonymous money, use paper cash. Roll Eyes

Bitcoin is private. Which means no third party can take it away from you without your permission. Not even the government.
977  Economy / Gambling / Re: MoneyPot - Crash with the lowest house edge on: August 21, 2023, 08:32:00 PM
Is there a link to your open source code? Since you mentioned your crash game to be probably fair, I assume it's an open sourced crash game?

Furthermore, with only a 0.1% house edge, how do you secure yourself from unexpected and frequent losses? Are there any amounts at which problems arise because of how much you can win/lose at once?

If you were to only use a non dynamic house edge, then from a mathematical standpoint it does not seem feasible for the casino to make a reasonable profit without an extremely large amount of players and a billionaire's bankroll. And since you use a dynamic house edge, why advertise 0.1%? It won't be 0.1% anyway.

Is it possible that the house edge becomes higher than that of other crash game providers?
978  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: August 21, 2023, 11:27:23 AM
I think that telling people who are susceptible to addictions, not to partake in habit forming activities like gambling is not very useful, as people tend to ignore the warnings of others, when there is something that they really want to do. The most effective way that people learn tough lessons is with personal experience. There is no way around it. Life is the greatest teacher.
979  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Altcoins with Risk/Reward Ratio of 10 to 1 on: August 20, 2023, 03:50:01 PM
Is there a platform that tells you which coins have grown the most in the last 5 minutes?

Knowing which coins have grown more in the last hour or last day does not help much...(many times those altcoins had a great pump but then they are in a sideways market or I do not see enough reasons to make the trading entry at the moment I start to trade....

Any other strategy or platform to know the best altcoins for scalping at a given time?

It would be nice a section in this forum to discuss the best altcoins for scalping/trading at a given time ... for example today August 19 from 16.30 London time SUI has been a very good option for scalping/trading with a Risk / Profit Ratio of about 10 to 1

From my experience, alt coins have a high reward to risk ratio in the short term but a higher risk than reward ratio in the long term. So you might find day trading much more rewarding than holding. With Bitcoin it's the other way around. But then again it all depends on how good of a trader you are.
980  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cockfighting? on: August 20, 2023, 01:14:44 PM
Anybody know of any crypto casinos that offer cockfighting? preferably vietnamese thai cambodian or filipino

As far as I am aware, cock fighting is outlawed in basically every country and I have no idea where you could find an illegal game provider. I would advise against it, either way. It is both cruel and sketchy.

Now as far as online digital cockfighting goes, I heard that it is difficult to find a fair game, as gambling games that are not 100% probability based can be manipulated. So nobody is willing to provide something like that, as the casino is legally liable in such cases.
