Here you are right Big-3 is main problem in ICC and cricket's better future specially Indian are doing dirty politics after introduction of IPL and having huge funds in their pockets.
But here concern is not IPL, and we are not talking why they are not allowing their players for other leagues and now allowing Pakistani cricketers in their league here is concern these all boards need to do some worth with ICC for having better structure and other facilities in countries where we can do some good for this game and youths can join this as professional cricketer which is increase its popularity, and we will be able to have some more good and quality teams in this frame.
I think all boards have accepted the dominance of big 3 specially India. No board is not willing to lose his IPL share thats why no one is speaking against BCCI policies. IPL aside, I do agree with you that all boards less big 3 must unite together to make icc powerful entity to safe guard there rights otherwise today Pakistani players are not in IPL, tomorrow BBL may ban WI players or so on. Only in presence of strong ICC, rights of small entities will be protected.

I think the reason why the BCCI does not allow their players to play outside leagues is that first of all, they don't want to raise any potential competition and secondly, they are paying a lot of money to a lot of people in power and in that way they are doing what they think is best for them. Obviously, if they let the players play in other leagues, those leagues will also rise in popularity and maybe give IPL a good competition but by doing this they are eliminating any chance of that happening. I think all boards have accepted the dominance of big 3 specially India. No board is not willing to lose his IPL share thats why no one is speaking against BCCI policies. I don't think that is going to happen. Because ICC is getting paid really well from these boards. And if the money wasn't that sweet I think I would have done something about this already. But obviously, this has to change because if this keeps happening the situation will worsen over time.

So where are the regulators in this case i.e. ICC? ICC stop cricket for IPL but cant stop such monopolies of BCCI. I also read here that BCCI never allow his men to take part in any other league but allow his female players to play WBBL and the hundred. If such thing continue to happen then rest of the world will never take this sports seriously. If we say that cricket should move to league structure like that of football then we must have strong regulator who can overlook matters like FIFA is doing in football.

But once the IPL got established, the BCCI has managed to move ahead and carve a place for itself. Now the other two boards are dependent on the BCCI for a large share of their funds. Even their T20 leagues (Hundred and BBL) attract a lot of revenue from India. When Shashank Manohar was the chairman of the ICC, he took some strong steps to reduce the dominance of the BCCI. But now everything is back to ground zero, ever since the useless businessman Greg Barclay took over.

One thing I recently noticed is that Australia has made it compulsory for its players not to miss national team series. For the very first time Australian players are going to miss part of IPL due to there tour to Pakistan. If all boards take such decision we can definitely see less influence of BCCI. Its important for cricket that all boards must be at same level and all leagues must have same importance.

Every player SHOULD give priority to their national team if selected. Irrespective of how much money they make in the IPL. It's not great news for IPL fans as they'll miss some top cricketers but that in turn could give a few budding Indian talent some chance to shine. Could be a win win scenario.

No, it's not ICC's duty to check in these leagues and try interference, it's all about every country and board's own decision who is coming and who is not coming. Right now if ICC can do then they need to settle things for better adoption and marketing which is very important and most chances in next few years we are going to have completely changed set up in this game of cricket. I guess this is going to work like soccer just very few events under ICC and all other enjoying their own leagues which is very good and fair for all because this will bring some better and strong system which helps these countries for having good funds for their domestic setup but sadly too many countries will be out of this all, and they will lose their all domestic system because they can't afford these leagues.

Given the right price for cricket, youngsters can join it as professional cricketers which increases its popularity and we will be able to put some more good and quality teams in this frame. I hope the ICC will keep a close eye on this. This will increase the interest of every person in cricket.

Disagree with this. Cricket is just another profession. The top players receive millions of USD every year from the IPL. They get less than 5% of that amount from the national cricket boards. So why should anyone be forced to play international matches against their wishes? If the national board wants that player to prioritize the international duties, then they should match the fees that is being offered by the IPL franchises. On one hand they want the players to play for such a pittance and on the other they want them to be available all the time. This will only result in players retiring from international cricket.

Also if they’re forced to retire to play in IPL then it’s indeed sad, but I’ll support their decision as they have every right to choose how they wish to earn for their livelihood.

If we go with this logic then players from there start should not opt to play for there country national team rather try to get inducted in IPL straight away. But we all agree that IPL only include top players from national teams not from domestic teams. Its hypocrisy that player is willing to obey all orders of board to play international cricket but once he become star player he is no more willing to follow board instructions.

But players need to know that if they did not get recognized by playing international cricket then IPL or any other leagues would not have invited them to play. And most of the reason why players want to play other leagues instead of international cricket is that obviously, the money is really great. And this is absolutely true that if the cricket boards want the player to play for them and be available at any time they need to give them a raise or else players will always want to play the league matches and tournaments more than the international ones. I agree with @Sithara007 the player’s salary in international cricket is very less, but IPL helps them to make money and secure their future plus they also have a short career, hence I see nothing wrong if they chose to play in IPL over international cricket. A player has every right to choose how he wants to go ahead in his career path but each and every player has a duty to their own country. But, I also think that love happens both ways. If the cricket boards want the players to play for them and be available at any time and listen to what they say I think they also need to give the players more money and something that is similar to what they are given in the leagues.

This logic is not going to be acceptable for any Board even they are taking some good amount from IPL every player is surely going to accept national duty as a priority because they have this just because of their country and money is never been a priority for many players just very few can go with this logic but mostly still will prefer national team on this IPL because here they have just one or two seasons and the national team is surely having some good long time for them. Hopefully, in near future, we will have some better laws about this because no board will give this acceptable even they are making some good money from IPL if we have any confrontation in this than most boards will try to ban their players from joining this IPL because with this it's going to be a bad impact on this game. Sometime back same issue happened in soccer then FIFA gives a ruling in favour of countries, so I feel most chances this will happen here as well.

I would say majority of players are after money once they get recognition by playing international cricket from there country. I do agree with you that there must be some laws for every player regarding his availability for national team and playing leagues. The one whose priority is league must not play for national side from the day very beginning and we will see which league will include such player.

Only in presence of strong ICC, rights of small entities will be protected. I think you are missing some important things here. Pakistan players are not allowed to play in IPL because of the political situation between both the two countries. As far as i know , the pakistan board will also not allow players to play in IPL. And why would BBL ban West Indies ? They will never ban them as every league wants good international players to come and play the league. If leagues start banning international players, no one will be willing to watch tournaments with national players only.

With too much politics involved in cricket specially between Pakistan and India most chances we will have no solid and good policy in ICC for many things and with this all BCCI will take some good advantage as currently they are very strong and having upper hand with the help of money involved in cricket. As many times few Indian and Pakistan members already post that there is no solution between these two countries problems in next one decade so forget about any positive link and BCCI is taking full advantage of their relationship with ECB, CA and CSA because now they are ignoring many other countries as well which are not profitable for their marketing purpose. Agree with this statement, BBL never ban any player or country as they need some good foreign players for their league, and it's helping them for having quality game in their league.

It could have been a better experience if both IPL and PSL allowed each other countries players but to be realistic, both countries do not need other country's players or support to make them successful. IPL is a successful league without any Pakistani players and similarly, PSL is a great league without the Indian players.

Pakistan and India both have produced great players both in the past and right now like Shaheen, kohli, Rizwan, Rohit and more. IPL is doing fine without Pakistan players but it will be more entertaining to see Pakistani players playing IPL. BCCI dominance in cricket can be seen from the fact that they never allowed there players to play any league. As long as politicians of both countries don't have a consent, we will continue to miss action cricket of both countries against each other.

Actually, I am ok with Pakistani players not playing in IPL and Indian players not playing in PSL. But what I want to see is India versus Pakistan international matches on a regular basis which is not happening at all right now. I am much more interested to see these two teams play against each other rather than the players of both countries playing in their own respective League. And obviously, this is not going to happen as long as their political situation stays like this. Not having many teams playing cricket is also a reason for this. The BCCI is basically doing whatever they want right now.

@jostorres, I think BCCI is getting too cocky now. They are taking absolutely every type of advantage that they can get from this situation. And they are just throwing money on the faces of the people who are even trying to talk against them and that is making both sides very happy. I think a League can be controlled by the BCCI because IPL is their tournament, and they have the right to decide what happens in it but the international matches or tournament should not be affected by BCCI in any way. But we all know that BCCI is a big reason why India versus Pakistan matches are not being played right now. And obviously, the situation or should I say political situation between both the countries are playing a big part in it. I think we can see why, because India has a lot of politicians in the BCCI, and obviously the prime minister of Pakistan is Imran Khan… I think you are missing some important things here.
