The price on Ash Barty winning the US Open has been falling all day over on Nitrogensports.eu  (I picked up nearly 7:1 now it's falling towards 5:1)

On the other hand - Jil Teichmann has remained at 67:1 all day even though she played Ash Barty in the final this morning.


I've also put a small wager on Su-Wei Hsieh barreling Venus Williams out in the first round

top players attending then the US Open.

There is a good chance now for both Medvedev and Zverev to reach the final at
least and to challenge Djokovic, Rublev and Tsitsipas have also to be considered.

Yes, you're right Busta is the higest ranked played there, there is Marin Cilic he is Grand Slam former champions but he has lost his best performance, all the top players are concentrating on the US Open.

For the Cincinnati Final, Rublev has not yet found the right formula to beat Zverev, but I though Rublev will able to get atleast 1 sets but not, my bet for Zverev give small win.

i think Rublev still can't be in the race to win a grand slam, he's still figuring things out, the final against Zverev showed a little bit of how inconsistent his performance is, and in a grand slam with three sets in each match, it will be hard for him to go far in it.

I knew I should have put more money on Su-Wei Hsieh and Ash Barty winning their respective games today:



All in all I'll put some more on Su-Wei Hsieh over the next few games and see how she goes.  (naturally I'm hoping Ash win's the US Open next week).

other tournaments listed though, strange.

I'm keeping a watch on whats happening in Winston-Salem, the only bet I have on
today is Carreno Busta to win against Kwon.

I thought a lot of the top players would be there but it turns out not to be.
The ones playing are all of similar capabilities and the odds are very even.

Either they still love playing and don't mind the defeats or they just want to gather more money  . It is similar for Kim Clijsters. She made an unexpected comeback (mainly for gathering more money as the chances she can win another tournament is very slim) but has been injured all the time...

It's because she has a hip injury, I think this is similar to what Andy Murray injuries as well.

And then she was diagnosed with "Sjogren’s Syndrome", so it's definitely a combination of injuries that really put a toll on her career early. She was really at her prime when this injury surfaces so she has to rest and occasionally enter tournaments. But the results are always the same.

And yes, she might be entering tournaments to get some money.

yes there are a lot of familiar names in the tournament but as i posted earlier its
really hard to pick winners. Carreno Busta won today, its the only one I did.

Likewise it looks like qualifying in the U.S Open has started and the vast
majority of the players are unknown to me.

Congrats on your win, I haven't put a bet on it, but Cilic has lost already and Bublik and Delbonis, so #6 and #5 and #10 is out of the tournament already.

But still a good tournament to bet with, there's money to be made as there are upsets here and there.

Maybe she can also start to focus on playing doubles, because at his age it is very difficult for her to cover all areas running and hitting the ball.
Martina Hingis is a player who is quite successful in changing her single career to double and even being able to win GS in the mix double, maybe she should have considered if she still hasn't retired.

Missing the last Grand Slam of the season is massive, its another year without this
famous 24th GS, I think we can safely say now that its not going to happen for her.
The older generation are fading out, time for the next gen.

Both of the Williams sisters have now crashed out of tournaments this week.  There are a new generation of players rising up through the ranks and older players should recognise when their time has come and bow out as graciously as possable.
