Yeah I left justified the Uptime also (which is in your version) due to running out of space when it reaches 100hrs
My suggestion would be a ticker style display of the last line scrolling with the WU: in it also ... but I don't know if that is easy or hard.

I would like a change to the pool details if possible, all I see is stratum+tc if this line could be expanded or could be adjusted in the script to be user defined
e.g. stratum+tcp://stratum.mining.eligius.st:3334 then output = Eligius
This would be most helpful..
I love the work your putting into this.
I've now received my second PI so can play more once I have spare time. Have sort of been holding back for Neil to release the 0.2.3 though.

I saw on this forum somewhere an image of a mining rig with an LCD display showing its vital stats. Can this be done with MinePeon? Are there instructions anywhere?
As cardcomm mentioned in this thread
https://github.com/cardcomm/cgminerLCDStats/blob/master/MinePeon%20Install.md

I get his error when i run

Make sure we have all the latest MinePeon packages:
cd /opt/minepeon/
git pull

error: Your local changes to the following files would be overwritten by merge:
        etc/miner.conf.donate
Please, commit your changes or stash them before you can merge.

Thanks for the positive comments Smiley

This issue has been "kind of" addressed in the latest version of the code. I'm attempting to do some "intelligent" truncating of the URL line by removing certain pieces I think are never useful for display. For example, I'm stripping out "stratum.", so with the new code you will probably see something like "mining.el". I'll change the code to also strip out "mining." which should fix the issue in your case.

Without knowing a lot of pool URLs, it's hard to know what to strip out. Any suggestions on URL segments to always remove? I think the current list is "stratum.", "www.", ".com", and now "mining.".

Easily see your cgminer status with my cgminerLCDStats app:  http://cardcomm.github.io/cgminerLCDStats/

Well it does have a negative side effect that in this case doesn't matter.
Any changes anyone made to etc/miner.conf.donate will be lost.
But for that file, I'm sure Neil will prefer my fix Smiley

I pushed a few updates for the LCD display code to github. The current version hopefully fixes a bug where the incorrect pool URL was sometimes displayed. (Kano: I didn't code this exactly the way we discussed, but I think it's working.) I also updated the URL display code itself. If anyone notices an incorrect or scrambled URL, let me know Wink Note that the full pool URL will not be displayed.

Updated photo of the current display layout:

Thanks for the support and feedback, y'all.

Have you tried testing with a higher difficulty ?. 32 should be ok. I can't remember if 50btc lower the fee for using a higher diff ?. Excellent work BTW on your display.

I tried the new LCD program and now it needs to detect the ':' of the end of the pool's name:

Interesting that here, the HW value is the expected, not the one calculated by MinePeon.

I'm still running the original minepeon 0.2.2 release and I just got the little LCD display.

Should I follow the tutorial (https://github.com/cardcomm/cgminerLCDStats/blob/master/MinePeon%20Install.md) now (including "sudo pacman -Syu" and all the other updates) or is the next minepeon release imminent and I should wait a day or two?

When I do the minepeon update as in the tutorial, will it keep all my settings (miner, changed passwords, wifi etc.)?

If you can wait I would. I just got my second PI as am impatient. So on my B unit I have just 1 miner and am still finding a few issues.

Minepeon will not update anything on the settings page - am stuck in Africa killing kittens

Am not sure what I did wrong but am gonna let it ride as i want to see if i still have my previous issue with the donate period. (new PI and SD Card)

The screen is up and running, looking good though.

Note to Self : Do not do updates with 22 miners running. I believe this is the source of the problems I have had.

Disconnect miners, update, reboot, restart mining.

Seems sooo obvious now lol@me.

This might not be a problem with fewer miners.

Am gonna start again with this n mind tomorrow.  Grin
