A minimum of 13 more events will take place starting on July 19th at the Circuito de Jerez - Angel Nieto in this new 2020 MotoGP™ calendar

All dates, events and the eventual attendance of spectators are subject to the evolution of the pandemic and the approval of the corresponding Governments and authorities.

I don't have a clue why Austria and GBR races are going to be raced twice?
Are we going to see all teams racing twice and getting double points or we are going to break all teams into two groups and they are going to race separately?

Ross Brown has spoken and he said, "if we will have at least 8 Gps the Formula 1 will have a world Champion for this year".
So basically if they can't reach the 8th Gp this year we will have not a global winner but only Gp winners.

I think this is a great solution, Hamilton will not be happy .
Decreasing the number of races will increase the variance, anything can happen.

Lol.  Does he really want to break Schumacher's title that bad tho?  I don't get that kind of impression from him.

And I think the fewer number of races is good for my bet with LTU_btc:  Leclerc (him) vs Verstappen (me), who finishes the season with more points.

He probably can't say it because of the delicate situation of Schumacher but you know to be the legend you need to beat the previous legend.

About the fewer number of races, not sure about it, the plan is to do 18-19races if the situation on Americas will improve.

Oh, after this very long quarantine, I completely forgot about our bet. Yeah, less races probably open more room for surprises. Maybe even more interesting fight for title is possible.

F1 cancelled 3 more races - Azerbaijan, Singapore and Japanese. If Azerbaijan and Singapore was somewhat expected, because city tracks requires long preparation, it's sad news that there will be no Suzuka track this year.
Also, Ross Brawn said that additional tracks is considered like Mugello, Imola, Portimao, and Hockenheim.

@tokeweed I hope that this time round you won’t be jinxed since you have publicly revealed that you’re placing your money on Verstappen, and I have to admit that both the drivers have an excellent chance of winning, hence I’ll be keenly following these two to see who wins this bet. Furthermore I’m not aware if you’ll remember this or no but Schumacher had predicted back in 2008 that Hamilton will be the one to break his record, and it seems that this year Hamilton can finally break his record.

Speaking to the BBC’s Inside Sport program, Schumacher said, “I would say, absolutely, yes [Hamilton could win seven titles].”

Alex Zanardi had yet another terrible accident today, when he was hit by a truck while riding his handbike   He has severe head injuries and surgery was done this evening. He is in intensive care in critical condition now. I hope he will survive and is able recover afterwards, he won't lack any fighting spirit to accomplish this for sure. What a man, what a legend.

I hope he recovers as this man is for me a true legend having suffered accidents before which led to him being cut both legs.He still continued with the same spirit a sportsman should have and was active in motorsports.This new accident is truly a sad event but I think he will recover as always.

I believe they made huge mistake in controlling their finances and they overspend.
They had an amazing season last year and they had a lot of profits from this. On top of that when you are a competitive team you can achieve greater deals with your sponsors. I wonder why they failed so much.

@Naida_BR the article clearly states that their funds were hit due to Covid19, and this sale is a strategic move to prepare for next year budget cap of $145 million, and further the funds raised from the sales will allow them to compete with the top 3 cars that race in F1.

The main McLaren Group has been searching for extra funding in recent months having been hit hard by the Covid-19 crisis and resulting staff furlough. McLaren sees the introduction of the $145m budget cap in 2021 as an opportunity to be on a level playing field with the established top three.

@swogerino there’s a fresh update that his vital signs are stable, but he’s yet not out of danger hence we all should pray for him that he finds the strength to recover quickly from this accident.

Latest info on Zanardi accident from Italy if you are interested.

He is now in critical condition but he is in a stable condition and he will be sedated for some days.
He has problem with one eye, not clear if he will lose it.

About the accident, it seems it was a Zanardi error in the curve also for what we have now as information the race could be "illegal" race cause COVID law and was hidden.
The Mayor of the city didn't know about it.

Yes, I read that too. He sort of lost control and drifted to the opposite lane, where a truck couldn't avoid the collision then. The fact, that there was a truck on the opposite lane makes it very likely to have been an "unofficial" race, because otherwise the road would have been blocked or some safety measures would have been put in place.
Doesn't make anything better (just explains it better) and I hope Zanardi gets well again all things considered - "stable condition" sounds already a bit relieving. That truck driver must feel very bad too, although it looks like it wasn't his fault. But he will have lifelong trauma I guess

I read on press that he is in serious, but stable condition. At least it's not critical condition, let's hope that he will recover. Zanardi is such inspirational person, he returned to motosport after such fatal accident and also won Gold in Paralympic Games later.
