Time for some ASIC Porn. Case for 3 sats... access door inside house picture
inlet fan side... you can see the 3 naked ladies... no case fans inside picture
During the day, it's push-pull, using both fans at night, only the inlet fan on bottom is needed picture
the board separates the units from the exhaust picture
It seems the air given to the miners comes directly from outside. Aren't you afraid about humidity when it's raining ? thats actually a carport & greenhouse/shadehouse, well protected Labor of my life

100GH/s Mercury. Tried to save on power supplies, bought two 360watt 12vdc supplies and a BBB 5 volt wall wart then added a 4 pin Molex and brought in the 12vdc for the intake fans, which I found are powered by the 4pin Molex on the controller board and that 12 vdc isn't common with the PCIE 12vdc. Fired it up this morning and got lots of cores disabling. Thought perhaps if I add the second 12v supply in parallel, did that, same errors. Shut it down, went back to a single 12v supply and added two tantalum capacitors. It's back up again now about an hour. Seems to be settling in between 75-78GH/s. http://eligius.st/~wizkid057/newstats/userstats.php/18XUsmKnuPmGdNaPrtpwSr11iAXFUdFUysOkay, I'll need to spring for a decent power supply. If it turns out the hardware errors an disabled cores don't improve, I'll go back to this supply and put the new in my main machine who's supply fan sounds just a little loose as the home cools with the season. I have yet to try the 0.96 firmware. Also, I have the where with all to adjust the 12V in so I might try lowering that reducing the power and see if any cores enable. Lowered the input voltage from 12.2v to 11.9v. I note that I have a number of digital voltmeters but they do not agree entirely. It had been set for 12.05v with one, then I added an inexpensive 2 wire digital display so I could tell if ever there were a voltage down issue. The start before adjust could have been 12.2 or 12.05, but I adjusted it down from 12.2 to 11.9. Many cores were re-enabled, then some disabled again shortly. Now after some 10 minutes or so my total power usage as shown by BertMod is up 6 watts to 100 from 94 watts, my total cores are better on 3 of the 4 dies but worse on 1, hashrate up to 96.64GH/s avg reported by cgminer. Must try this lowering voltage thing again. Just lowered it again at 5PM. I use firefox but needed to go to IE for BertMod. Just tried Chrome. Suddenly I got an advertisement over my computer speakers for a phone service and there's nothing displayed!? Anyway, with the lowering of an additional 200 millivolts there is no corresponding slew of re-enabling cores. .....wait, spoke too soon, 5 cores just enabled. Interesting. It was around mid-90's. The top is off and I have two additional small fans pointed at the voltage modules. For the heck of it I placed a magazine inside taking the air pushed by the in fans and forced it down on the BBB and controller board. The realtime hashrate went up to 109. I removed the magazine and it dropped to the 70's and was falling when I put the magazine back. KnC 0: | 108.8G/95.68Gh/s | A:127753 R:283 HW:55150 WU:1436.3/m

WTF All The factory produced 280 boxes yesterday. This was the result of a few failures which have now been addressed We will be back to full production on monday and expect to get back to shipping over 400 a day from monday onwards We will keep you updated as we finsih our queue in the next few days Sam
https://www.kncminer.com/news/news-54Hold on a second i thought they said they were open on the weekends..... You are a liar, you have no damn sources, you haven't a bloody clue where in Sweden the facility is.
Fact - Factory is open weekends - the damn Asics were delivered on a Sunday by Johan on a commercial flight, and DHL with a hand courier. 24 hours later the first prototype at full speed was filmed working.
Fact - the factory does not close at 10pm or we wouldn't have spent several days in there 24 hours around the clock.
Fact - you talk out of your arse, and when called upon started your own self-moderated thread bashing KnC for all their hard work and delete comments you don't agree with.
Fun with you has to stop now. Ciao.
So why do we have to wait till monday?

Wish I had better access to it so I could put an IR meter to use. I have some stick-on heatsinks left over from USB BEs.

Got my July 1st order today. Both fans had come off the heatsink, but no biggie. Setup is pretty damn easy. Changed the password, ip address, etc. no problem. Upgraded to 0.96 firmware and it initially said 0.95, so I did it again and it was correct. Maybe you can only jump to a certain version at a time. Using 315 watts including a network switch and fan. I took the case off and used it at 90 degrees upside down as a base to allow the main case to cool underneath. No other mods done yet. Temps read max 100F near bottom of heatsinks. It's in my cool basement.

nice, congrats FiatKiller...
yeah, the update to the miner works right away, but the GUI update lags a tad after the reboot. that's linux...slow to initiate things... all my win 8 machines boot in about 12 seconds to the desktop. ubuntu took over two minutes in comparison. Initiating system startup apps & functions seems to be a bottlekneck on linux I doubt this is any different.

All I did was ask, and relayed the response I was given. Don't go shooting the messenger bud, and yes the factory is open weekends as you well know because a) the chips arrived on a Sunday. I was there. b) Markus was there all last weekend with production in full swing.

10 degrees difference between those two is some kind of issue.. not high temps to worry about, but do you have a die/48 cores off on one? A fan not seated right?

BTW... GUI reboot speeds still holding... I wonder what the deal is? all I did was change the passwords also on a strange note... Of the three units, the one with the LEAST WUnits is the fastest, and the one with the most, is the slowest. Isn't that bass-akwards as to how it's supposed to be?

Yeah, I looked and visually they seem ok. Not too worried if the temp is not beyond limit. What temp is the worry point for future info? Just like with PC/GPUs? The speed has stabilized to 245ish using EMC. Will worry about tweaks later. Just very happy I have it early enough and it's basically meeting spec. I'm using a 1200 Watt Gold power supply.

yep just saying that temp diff is a sign one isn't running as well as the other if the cooling is identical. They run cooler when they drop cores.. so that is a significant drop. Probably losing 30-40Gh
