i'm getting the same shit at my saturn. disappointing. Both boards are marked with an "1"

here is what bertmod is showing...should i run the enable bin file or update to .96??? it's not bad but 100% for both would be nice but not sure if asking too much....

ASIC slot #1: 45.0 ℃
ASIC slot #2: -
ASIC slot #3: -
ASIC slot #4: -
ASIC slot #5: 40.0 ℃
ASIC slot #6: -

here are my saturn stats, on .95 firmware, any input would be greatly appreciated...especially my error rate which I am not sure how to figure out.

i'm getting the same shit at my saturn. disappointing. Both boards are marked with an "1"

shit ? what's the problem you are minting 251.7 GHs   Is not the best I've seen but not the worst either.

have u use bertmod aisc_status.pl to get the number of cores enabled on  yours asics?

if you have a lot of diabled core give 0.96 a try or use http://www.kncminer.com/userfiles/file/enablecores.bin (see support page for instaructions)

did you check this if this apply to you http://forum.kncminer.com/filedata/fetch?photoid=8379?

sickpig, I am somewhat happy, unit was late in my eyes, and was hoping more for like 275GH/s at the server...i think phoenix1969 has 3 saturns running like that....mine seems to top out at 235/240GH/s on the server side...although less than 1% error rate on the server side...so thanks for the input and will check it out...i did post a bertmod result too. thanks again.

is there a thread of PSU's hooked up pics?

do we paperclip the PSU directly or plug in the cable and paperclip the end of that?

im a bit dubious regarding the entire affair.

I've applied paper clip at the end of the cable. u can use also a more secure way: http://www.dimastech.it/EN/c/atx-bridge-24-pin-for-power-supply/

KnC Cooling & Bertmod temperatures (Saturn miner, 0.95/0.96)

Hi,

with a closed case my temperatures had been like 48/44C.
The die with the hotter temperature often had disabled cores.
Opening the case did help a little bit, the perfect setup for me ended to be like this:

Note the additional airflow by the two external fans (ugly setup, I know!).

Temperatures down to 41/42C and normally no disabled cores (at 0.96). Room temp. about 20-21C.
cgminer stats (20h): (avg):267.1Gh/s | A:4438784  R:72192  HW:218669  WU:3895.2/m  (Updated running time, UTC calculation)

Even for a Saturn you need additional cooling.

trepex

hi trepex thanks for sharing
don't be to harsh your own set up is not that ugly Tongue

anyhow I don't rember where but it seems that improving the airflow in such a wa to have a better cooling of the BB helps the overall perf. somone use a magazine to force the air from the intake to "stay down"... as soon as I get more info I'll let you know. it's a real pity that I have my machine in a colo distant from my home :/

it seems so but I didn't try myself since I've my machine hosted in a colo distant from my home and I prefer to do this kind of thing "face to face"

hi jelin

I won't be able to test it this morning (maybe tomorrow) but it seem that if you have a lot of diabled core 0.96  http://www.kncminer.com/userfiles/file/enablecores.bin (see support page for instaructions) should help.

Does disabled cores get re-enabled over time or does it mean that once they are disabled, we will need to install the enablecores.bin to turn them back on again?

i see them get re-enabled, but not sure if this is for all miners, i've heard of some locking and thats when this bin file comes into play.

I havent gotten bertmod installed but Im running 0.96.
Just hope they get re-enabled.  Or some new FW that doesn't disable them when > 10 HW errors.
The threshold should be more than 10 IMHO.

Looking at the rise in the bitcoin exchange rate I cant help but wonder if people are seeing that mining won't break even, or is unaffordable and are buying instead to a greater extent?
