If it doesn't work out, here's how to roll back per KNC: For those that experience degradation with 0.97 we recommend the following steps until improved firmware is available: Revert to firmware 0.95, Make a hard reset (see manual) Ensure poolsettings are correct. Apply patch “enableallcores” found on the support page. Restart CGMiner Please also check the following: Pool address and ports correct in mining settings Miners have a high quality internet connection that does not cut off. Test the miner

as long as you have already run enablecore.bin at least once and/or flashed 0.96 at least once you should not need to run it. /etc/init.d/cgminer.sh before starting cgminer go through all the cores and enable them. I don't rember where (and I don't have time know to look up for the post, pardom me if you can) but I read that one of the first fw (0.90 maybe) wrote the map of bad core on asic eprom and there was no way to overwrite it at runtime. that's the reason why knc release enablecore.bin.

Do we get pictures and a cake when it arrives? No, but you get the prize for selfish smartarse. Also..don't you find it interesting that Orama said after a chat with support (As he was sitting next to them) that Avenger was full of shit and didn't have an order? Me, I call that more than interesting. And less than honest. Buy yourself a cake. and try and STFU if you can't empathise with those who have had a raw deal. Could have been you, shame it wasn't. IMO

What helps, in case you have somehow trouble with cgminer's config file: remove it completely, start cgminer in screen session, enter pool details, save config to file via cgminer (type: sw ; then enter, enter)

The main issue seems to be fixed, thou.

My Saturn got delivered 3 hours ago at home, and I'm stuck here at work ... I can feel all the BTCBTCBTC walking away from my wallet every minute that passes... d.day (difficulty change) is today (approx. 8 hours from now). This sucks. Hope I don't run into any problems with the miner.

Two laptops have become non-functional. An RPi has stopped working, not accepting connections, another RPi running cgminer also isn't connecting, another laptop does ping yahoo just fine so it's not the internet - also this is getting posted....
