applied .98 to my jupiter, now hashing at 150GH/s instead of 500.

 Huh Huh Huh
It took my Jupiter 12 hours to 'get in the groove' after updating to .98.  Almost rolled back, but now it's a steady 15GH/s improvement.

Miner Received.   Grin

Shipped out Monday got to me Wednesday.

Although got some issues..
It came with 0.95 firmware. only getting at max 80Gh/s  Undecided

Updated to 0.98 Firmware,
Now getting a nice "404 - Not Found"
I got to my ipaddress of 192.168.1.2 and it auto refreshes to http://192.168.1.2/cgi-bin/get_status.cgi and gives me that 404

How to fix?

wow, also just noticed that after around 115 Million submitted shares I can finally say I am official and found a BLOCK for the BTC community. I was starting to feel left out....1 less on the bucket list.

Solo mining or pool?

Would be a losing battle if I was solo mining. I started on bitminter but most of my mining has been on BTC Guild.

Ya never know.. I've found 2 myself through Slush, kinda made me wish I was going solo lol..

Good mornin' all
Yep, 0.98 held better overnight than any other so far...good stuff for all 3 sats.
Temps still effect them a tad... they seem to enjoy 70-80 better than mid 50's for sure

Does anyone know when shipping begins for November orders?

I'm wondering so, too.

KnC has the pleasure to be wrong whatever they do.
When they start shipping Nov15th first batch customers are not happy, if they don't second batch customers are not happy.

Guess it will be a mixture of both. Those who have ordered and paid while Nov15th was still on the website should get it close to Nov 15th.
All others who paid when it was November only, should get their miners or a tracking IDs in last days of November.

So I assume a short break between Nov15th shipping orders and November orders.
Let's see..

..and Thou shalt spread the coin in the name of cryptography for eternity

I have a hypothetical question. If a 3rd party wants to rent a few days of hashtime on my Jupiter and I give him remote access including my password, if he changes the password without telling me is there any way to regain access without the new password or is the Jupiter permanently hi-jacked?

btw... of all the experimenting on the sats...70-79 seems to be the optimum temp
It takes about 1 and 1/2 hours to 2 hours to see the results on the graph, but looks to be a signifigant difference when you include several machines... about 40 gh/s for me... just by monitoring temps to 70-79 instead of letting them drop to 55-60 overnight. I use cardboard to block a bit of the airflow, and monitor the temps on the GUI, then watch for the results on the graph, and how high they peak over a couple hours. Well worth it for me.
When they said "Over-cooled", they weren't kidding!

Change the root password then you can always get in and change the admin password

Why in the world would you give him access to the device.  Just point your miner at his address at eligius and be done.

Thanks. My Jupiters are at Anotherhost so my VPN password would have to be reset along with the "front button" hard reset, but it is all doable. As to why a 3rd party might need access I can only speculate they may be switching between pools or between alt coins.

Someone with root access could theoretically do a 'rm -rf /' or equivalent - intentionally or even non-intentionally.  Then you would probably need KnC support just to unbrick the unit.  I would not give anyone I don't trust 100% direct login access to my miner(s).

Those are good points I guess there is no way to give access to just the web interface and block ssh access.
If not I guess the renter would have to prepay enough to justify the risk.
