Cluster performance going down From 440 to 340, why?
Probably because many workers are no longer accounted...

I restarted for the third time now and it still doesn't show up. I'm on bfgminer 3.8.0..
I had exactly the same thing yesterday - after several restarts my end (always resulting in hashing normally and accepting shares) nothing was showing up under my account with last share 45 minutes ago (and counting)... Obviously a pool problem so rather than providing mining for free I switched to another pool overnight which of course was fine. I have switched back to Slush today and it now seems ok. Melb

just under 3GH/s and I am earning around 0.00022 per block, does this sound about right?
I'm @ 6.5GH/s and doing about 0.00034 to 0.00041 per round, depending on total Hash power currently @ Slush pool, so your figures are absolutely in the ballpark for the current difficulty. I run cgminer 3.8.4 under 32bit WinXP on an old but power-efficient Notebook that's idling along, never had any issues (despite that Notebook OS being quite old and not well maintained ).

Hi guys, I am in contact with slush since early days of this pool (actually since the pool was created 3 years ago ). You can check for example this post to see the graphs that I prepared to verify the scoring algorithm. I briefly talked with him today asking why he isn't replying in this thread (you can verify this by comparing the thread title: "100 TH" vs. the actual speed of the pool: 450 TH) and he told me that he has lost access to bitcointalk.org forums during recent hack, and that theymos isn't replying to his queries to reclaim the lost account. He asked me, if you - the pool users on this forum - would be so kind and contact forum admins to help slush recover his account? He promised me, that then he will post a longer message on what's going on with the pool. But meanwhile everyone should use the freshly introduced Knowledge base which you will find on the pool sidebar on the left. best regards

It seems some of the backends have a problem with it's DB connection and is not storing the shares.
Got this problem when connected to 192.198.107.178, but because of load balancing - not sure it means much.
Also, slush told me that this issue with 192.198.107.178 was fixed today, and that rewards for rounds 21095,21096,21097 are being recalculated and should be fixed soon.

He asked me, if you - the pool users on this forum - would be so kind and contact forum admins to help slush recover his account? Is there any reason why you should not do this for him? ISTM that it would be better for one to do it than for numerous members to contact Admin. I note that theymos is active and has logged in this afternoon.

I note that theymos is active and has logged in this afternoon. good point shame on me I didn't think of it at first. I am writing PM to theymos now, but I realized that slush didn't tell me what kind of medium he used to contact theymos. So that I could tell theymos to check old emails or PMs from that date. So now I wait for slush to answer this question

OK, I have just (8 december 2013 7:58:45 UTC) sent PM to theymos giving details who (those weren't slush, because he couldn't access his account, but his close friends) sent him forum PMs and when. Those forum PMs were sent several times, and theymos still didn't respond. Maybe if we have this documented in this thread, theymos will finally respond Or maybe you have some idea about some other forum admin that we should try contacting to?

what "4:35" means here? Is that a bet from http://bitbet.us/ ? OK, another update: slush will follow theymos' instructions as soon as he gets online, I will send theymos another PM in case if there will be any more problems.

hopefully someone could look in to this as it's still not recalculated 21091 2013-12-07 22:35:54 0:59:51 349285622 172 I don't bother posting my payments as the miner i got only does around 1GHash/sec BTC mining. the prob is with 3 USB ASIC they DO get alot higer shares per min than only 172 in almost an hour.

I just noticed that one of my miners found two more blocks. That is three total for me now. Fortunately i understand that if i had been solo i would most likely have found none. it is all luck.

Whats the best bang for 1500 dollars ASIC wise at the moment?
Just a thought, ASIC Cubes don't look to be good value.
Taa
Cubes? I have three jalepenos, basically mining dust at the moment. It's amazing to see what the damn things sell for on E-bay, if I was smart I'd put them on there. I'm not sure if mining is profitable unless you can afford a few tera-hashes. Don't quote me though, I'm certainly not an expert. If you can't make a profit at 15 Gh/s, then you can't make a profit at 15,000 Gh/s either Yeah... you can.. it depends on the cost of the hash Really? you're going to argue this one? This is like the old joke, " i lose money on every sale, but i'll make it up in volume." What ever happens at 15 Gh/s will happen times 1000. If you lose money at the low rate, you lose at the high rate too, times 1000. I pointed out it depends on the cost of the hash. If you can get fast hashing equipment for the right price, then yes, you will make profit on the high end than the low end. I'm not arguing in linear, because in reality it's not truly linear. If all costs were the same across the board, then what you're saying makes sense. But, that is not the case.
