Yep tried that one also earlier when I was reading  gandalph's "how to" on his website.   Still something missing.  Ill try later tonight to get it running.

apologies about that, keep mixing opengl/cl up. The only other thing I did was to change the default word to a number eg 20000, 50000 etc

What do you mean with changing to 20000/50000? What did you change?

Cheers.

Also the version is working pretty well!

May I suggest a feature ?

I'd like to see the HBM temperature next to the GPU temp at all times. HBM temp is much more important on vega than GPU as that is what we're pushing to the limit.

Thanks.

Eureka.... I tried what you suggested and
It started to work.   --opencl 2 -G 0,1  Did it for me.
Beta Blockchain driver 17.30.1029 in use.
Core set at -4 , Clock 945 and power -10
She is running 1370H/s on gpu0 and 1372H/s on gpu1
Power at the wall is 474w

Now I just need to find out what else to tweek to get it up to 1900H/s per card

[update]
How hashing at 1950 per card after disabling the  “HBCC Memory Segment”

Thanks Fr4nkthetank

My personal best. 4 Cards PowePlay, fifth just stock 1025 mem. You need update your tutorial because able to lunch 4 cards 145W per card ~2KHS
After 24H mining:

[Hash Rate Avg: 9879.1 H/s]
  1996.0 H/s GPU0
  2006.9 H/s GPU1
  2002.2 H/s GPU2
  1984.6 H/s GPU3
  1889.3 H/s GPU4

One time miner freezed and needed to press S. Maybe network or team viewer stuff?

Q: Miner freezes if I put cursor to its window in Windows 10 until any key is pressed. Sometimes miner freezes randomly until any key is pressed.
A: You should make some changes in Windows:

  https://superuser.com/questions/419717/windows-command-prompt-freezing-randomly?rq=1

if I can run 11x Vega on ASUS B250   I can achieve 2 KHash/s on each gpu ?
(Windows with the latest updates removed cards limitation you can run 12 AMD card, but ASUS supports 11 AMD)

I personally was not able to get this program to run on my system using any of the --opencl # command.  I do have integrated graphics turned on and I use that for my monitor and the Vega 56's seem to run just fine without a monitor or anything plugged into them.  The miner doesn't seem to be able to ignore the Intel HD 510 graphics of the integrated graphics to see the Vega's so unfortunately, I'm unable to try out this miner but was looking forward to trying it.  Anyone else have another suggestion other than disabling the integrated graphics since that's not going to happen.

I finally got Cast to work using -G 4 -opencl 2.

Is there some way to determine what GPU index numbers are?

I'm only getting 1410 max hash/sec so far.  Freq -30%, memory 950MHz, power -20%.  What can I do to improve that?  I am expecting 1800+, that's what I've read I should get with xmr-stak and HBCC.  The Vega seems to crap out if memory is set to much above 975.

you should get 2kh/s with vega56 and 2.07kh/s with vega56 with right tuning. 150-160watt.

with current drivers - no.
you need to wait for fall creators update compatible drivers with compute option for Vega activated.

So I have tried several different pools and no matter what I do I end up getting roughly 5% rejected shares due to expired job.

2 KH - 5% = 1.9 KH

Sort of evens the mining software playing field if you look at it that way.

Has anyone solved the rejected shares problem yet?
Is there a fix in the works?

This miner totally outshines the RX 4xx/5xx series as the best of them could make you up to 700 Hash/s with modded Bios. Now this GPU which costs in Ebay the RX VEGA 56 in US cheapest price of 450-490 USD brand new gives us the hashing power of 3xRX 580 with modified Bios. Well done to the creator of such thing but why am I not seeing a fall in price of the RX 4xx/5xx series yet, they continue to be 300 USD or more at ebay ?
