I have the following power supply:
http://raidmax.com/psu/rx_1000ae.html
Would it be possible to run 2 AntMiner S1s with it?

I think it has 6 PCI-E, 6-pin.  Can I use 4 PCI-E adapter 6-pin to 4-pin to get 2 AntMiners up and running?
Is there enough power if I want to overclock to 375M?

a quick search has revealed it may be hard to locate one in Canada at a reasonable price...

can I put a similarly spec'ed fan from another manufacturer on the front of the case?

what are the specs I should try to macth...what should I look out for?

The Delta AFC1212D-F00 would be a good choice.

Seems to be about 40$ - 50$

seems to be kind of steep, and still hard to locate, anything else more 'mainstream' ?

Evening All

I am not used to using cgminer as I currently use BFGminer.

Can someone walk me through overclocking the miner step by step using cgminer? I will overclock when the warranty is finished.

Much Appreciated!

Any fan with spec :
120 x 120 x 25mm, RPM: 3400, Air Flow: 113.11 CFM, Noise Level: 46.5 dBA - noise dont matter to a near deaf person like I Smiley

Size is absolute, rpm is negotiable, CFM is very important and is reason for noise.

Most old server fans fit this spec hit up Bay.

Why are people buying these? I paid $3800 for my KNC (560GH/sec) in July 2013. If you buy 3 Antminer's which equals the same hashing power that's well over $4800 now and consumes much more power. I don't understand?

Are you saying that your kncminer is for sale? If not, where do you find that price and performance that ships now?
How many BTC would you have if you had bought BTC instead? BTC30-40?

Hello,

Guys i having some issue with the discards. The seem to be almost half of the accepted. What do the discards mean and how can they be reduced?

accepted = 4938
Rejected = 14
Discarded = 2915
stale = 1
diff = 767
diff1# = 3697137
diffA# = 3617613
diffR# = 3110
diffS# = 801
LSdiff = 767

Temps steady at 47-48 C

Any ideas?

Interesting.  I have never seen a number in diffS#.  I'm curious

I stopped paying attention to all those numbers and just look at my pool stats.

Well, that is the thing. The pool stats show low hash compared to what i see on the antminer webpage. Pool shows the hash jumping from 112 to 155 ish. But i never see anything close 180 gh.

But can somebody tell me what all those numbers mean?

Then you have a real problem.  Your pool stats should be looking something like this for 2 overclocked miners.

Well for sure they are not like that. Any ideas whats the problem here?

Your temps don't look right....might be the calibration on the interface or it might be giving you good data.

Is your fan spinning?  What is the ambient temperature?  What kind of PSU are your running?

Well the ambient is around 26-28 C. The fan is running at time i can hear it go up in rpm and lower too. I have added two small 75 CF fans on the other side of the miner also.

PSU is a Hosiwell 750w 80+ Bronze

Anybody using Antminer S1s on Ghash.io pool?  Just wondering what difficulty numbers you are using?  I am using 256 difficulty, and getting some stales, duplicate, and low difficulty errors.

Tried it a few week ago. Ghash.io calculated the diff wrong. Rather low profit. Not sure if fixed now, search their support site for the complaint thread.

Ok, so it is you get it now thing. I got it. I remember my big smile when I first started hashing at 560Gh/sec in October and was making about .5 bitcoin a day. Just three months (little less) later and that has changed to .15 bitcoin a day. For anyone to get back up to that .5 /day you'd really have to spend several thousand dollars which right now may never see to get it back.

I think these AnyMiners are perfect for someone that doesn't have any rigs at all, but for someone that already has a little hashing power the price seems a little steep. I was thinking of maybe surprising my Dad with one for his birthday! For someone that has one S1, what are your BTC rewards usually per day? Around .04 to .06 right?

Ummm why don't you read the first post in this thread? It explains that very thing step by step.  If you still have questions after reading that, then you may get some help.  ;-)
