I have added a second fan for pull the hot air from the machine. I use a fan with PWM, the speed is slow and cannot show the RPM in the web management page. Then I use a connector directly connect the fan to molex, the fan comes faster...
2 question:
even use a PWM fan, still cannot show the RPM?
the PWM function cannot work for second fan??
the second fan appears to be controlled by PWM in mirror to the primary fan (w/ regards to voltage, not RPM) and you wont see its speed in the stats. thanks reply. So, the PWM is still in function???

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Usually choose the second in 2 ways:
blow out CFM 〉blow in CFM
OR
blow out cfm = blow in cfm
if the given power of 2 fans is same..., only the second option can be chosen, may be i need to buy the second fan as same as the first one...

the orginial one is around 130cfm, 1.3A, buy a 120*120*""38mm"" one can hv lower rpm, lower noise...

I noticed that also. I just came straight off the power supply for the fun. Moves a lot of warm air out of the back of this machine.

I just received my units but the administration page for each and every one of them runs terribly slow. I can browse around, change some options but everything moves slow as fucked fuck and saving the settings is kind of a crapshoot. Any idea why it's so slow? Anyone else got this problem? LE - a lot of times pages just don't load at all, i get code.

Yeah, i a I put an 140mm Antec fan on the back. It does a great job sucking the heat out. The fan that came with it, matched with the Antec, is keeping it cooler than my upgraded jala.

This might be a stupid question, but i read that you need an Ethernet cable to connect from the antminer to the computer. How do you hard wire connect your computer to the net if you use that connection?

Wireless, or you don't while you're setting it up. It's a 1 minute job though. Plug your computer into the Antminer and change your computer IP to 192.168.2.50 (or something). Access the Antminer control panel and change the Antminer IP to something on your local subnet, then plug your computer back into the router and change it back to DHCP, and plug the Antminer into the router.

just got my antminer, there sure is a lot of info to take in, i guess a lot of it can be ignored
just wondering if there are any options for selecting the active pool? or does it just follow the hierarchy selected under 'miner configuration'?
does it just do a simple failover from pool1 --->pool2----pool3 ?
or can you do tricks like load balancing between pools etc...
cant seem to find this anywhere...
thanks
