Gang,
Here's a little trinket someone may be interested in.
My dad used to be a master hand engraver and worked on many guns, knives etc that appeared in Hollywood films (mostly westerns back in the 70s). The last few years he's slowed down and does mostly automated commercial work.
He had a few spare business card holders, so we loaded in the Nxt logo, hit start, and voila.
Actually, the first attempt was bad -- .eps is notoriously wonky going between Mac <--> PC, and his CorelDraw didn't like my Mac .eps. For the second attempt (shown below), it's pretty good. Some minor flaws, but Winkelvoss or Cuban won't notice as you whip it out of your pocket at a conference.
If a conference ambassador wants this, let me know (Rickyj, Salsa, Mcjavar... I know there are more).
I opted to not put the logo tagline on as I wasn't sure how it would look. I can add it back. Also, my dad recommended putting someone's name below it (not sure if I'm crazy about that, I like the nameless/anonymous aspect of Nxt).
These holders are anodized aluminum. This one happens to be blue... I think he has one more blue, two red and two silvers. If I keep shoveling his snow this week, I might be able to twist his arm to do the rest of them.
Anyway, this is gratis for whoever wants it -- these aren't a big deal, but they may make Nxt look like we have our collective shit together (in a decentralized way, of course!)
Send me an address and I can mail it out today or tomorrow. If it's going to Europe, it'll probably take over a week since I'm cheap.
ALSO! My dad has some spare stainless steel water bottles (I didn't grab a pic but can take one today). Let me know if there's interest in something like this. Maybe we could put together a swag bag for schmoozing at a conference? I'm a little torn over this; it's kind of cheesy, almost as if we're buying favor (Nxt is strong enough to stand on its own). But if you've been to CES, E3 etc you know it's pretty cool to score freebies.
Anyway, enough babbling. Off to bed, then three days off from work to keep up with this thread.
