Dunno what's the reasoning of the bot on cryptsy who sells around $0.1 worth of coins every now and then to my bid. Can't be a real person doing that can it?

It's great to see the new team motivated and making progress. I've had very mixed feelings about EAC as it was my first alt. Still holding what I have. Got totally killed on maxcoin to the point where I'm done putting any more money into cryptos for a while, but good luck moving forward and I hope eac becomes big success.

If I may humbly request that you hold just a bit longer... We're getting things sorted and rolling. We'll have a full report in a few days on what we're doing, what we want to do, and how we gonna do it Cheesy

An excellent picture I saw in MINT thread, which shows what all coins went through...

Ok now I'm at about 16M, almost at the 1% target of the whole currency! Smiley

It seems that it will be relatively easy so far to accumulate coins at a steady 20 satoshi price - and after watching my order history from the last 12 hours it looks like the next few persons to go after the 1% challenge will most likely be able to do it at 20-22 levels as well, but after that probably not.

EDIT: page 500, wow!

I'm waiting to receive my salary Smiley and then i maybe will buy 2BTCs and then use those to buy another 10M EAC, this coin is ridicules low, check how difficult it is too mine, check what it all offers....

I'm basically gambling that the 15 satoshi was the lowest point, and all I can lose is couple of BTC - and if the dreams come true I could retire.

So if there is 1% chance that the value will 100x, and 99% chance it will go to zero, betting any amount on that is a neutral ev bet.

@ATXsilver

Thanks (again) for your post, i am also really impressed about the BTC price stability.
do like you arguments about the value of EAC, these are exciting times.

I do have one question for this group, how about the maximun number of transaction for a timeframe? Read somewhere that with BTC you can have only 7 transaction worldwide every second.
That alone is a perfect reason why BTC can never be used in low & quick transactions like buy a cup of coffee in mu book. Maybe now with the current low acceptation but if crypto gets around 1 or 2% of the people actively using it, it looks like a deal breaker to me.

The transaction times of EAC (and many other alt-coins) are a lot faster, but how about that transaction limit. How many the world combined can send to the chain every minute or so?

Not a cryptographic expert, but to the best of my knowledge that isn't true. In fact, I know it's not because the last block that I was paid from on Eligius had literally hundreds of transactions.

Again, to the best of my knowledge (I will ask the more technical team members) EAC has no transaction limit, it just depends on when a transaction gets (a)broadcast and (b) picked up in a block.

What we do have is fast transaction TIMES, which makes it so that you could buy a cup of joe and not have to wait an hour to have it confirmed.

And finally hit 20M! Smiley

For now you can pretty easily buy quite large amounts without shooting the price up by just placing a bid just below the lowest offer and simply waiting. They will sell very small amounts to your bid every few minutes but over time it will add up. To buy 10M like that at the moment I would estimate it would take around 24 hours.

7 TX/second is a no technical Bitcoin limit. It is a current manual set limit as anti-blockchain-spam protection. It can be increased.

Congrats, double then my amount, waiting to dump some other coins so that i also can own 1% of EAC Smiley We will lock all the coins and introduce a perfect plan so that Earthcoin will be worth millions and millions Smiley

You do realize that its dropping like stone and will be 5-7satoshi max in a month?
Then would be good idea to buy 1% of eac but not at the moment, some people were buying the 1% even when it still was at 100satoshis,lol.

I can't be arsed to read every page of this thread so: Is it worth mining?

Input please

Cheers
mining? no.. just buy it. You will spend now exactly the same $ mining it in Electricity as you would be when buying them.
but buying it now isn't the best idea either.

It was all the way down to 15 a couple of days ago, and it's now at the same levels it was a week ago. It could very well go to 5 or even 0 but if there's few % chance we saw the bottom already then my bet was good. I'm not a trader at all, but rather a gambler who can bet even if the chances are < 50% if the odds are there. And as atxsilver said earlier, if enough people would do this, it would be a self-fulfilling prophecy.
