last found block was at 24.08 12:49:55 according to the stats. why is 50BTC better with lower Thash/sec? --> http://blockchain.info/pools?timespan=24hrs
Looks like you are new to bitcoin mining.

1. Blockchain.info's data may be wrong and usually IS wrong. They can only guess who mined those blocks.
Real stats can be found here: http://blockorigin.pfoe.be/chart.php

2. Block mining process is very random. Usually you get more blocks with higher hashrate, but short-term variance is pretty high, especially when difficulty is all-time high too. For last week we are doing much better than average/expected - see "luck meter" at our stats page.
Some blocks are found in short time and some rounds are very long. This is normal.
Even 6+ hours for a block is pretty possible, just as less than a minute too.

Welcome to my bitcoin mining pool: https://deepbit.net - Both payment schemes (including PPS), instant payout, no invalid blocks !

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

you did much more better for many weeks in the past but now it seems your luck is over. so my question was easy what did you change on your setup? I ask you what "DC" is and no answer from you. something changed no matter if it is at your side or in the bitcoin network. don't call me new to bitcoin mining, I can count one and one together. you had obviously problems this week and I ask for the reason of that.

Yes, we did "much more better" for a couple of weeks, and much worse in a couple of weeks before that. Sometimes luck is good and sometimes it's not. Usually neutral over long enough period.
I don't see where you asked about DC. "DC" is datacenter. The place where some of our servers are located had a problem with power - some servers and routers lost it for a couple of seconds and were rebooted, that's the cause of connection problems experienced while all those things were booting and loading. This doesn't affects luck in any way.

I would notice if something is wrong - like failed mining node, load balancer or something like that, we are monitoring our setup continuously 24/7.

Current round lasts less than 600% of D at this moment (normal average is 100%), and sometimes we had more than 800%, so it was frightening only the first time :)

Gysur, if you're worried about luck I'll insure you against bad luck mining at Deepbit. When Deepbit is unlucky, I'll pay you extra. Some miners like this - it's a bit like PPS but you're still mining prop. You can find details in my sig. Also, if you do not wish to use GLBSE I can arrange variance protection for you privately.

Tycho probably has to remain more diplomatic than me, so allow me to say this in his place: either you are indeed very  new to mining, or frankly, you are an idiot.

A pool that is having issues will have trouble producing getworks and accepting shares. So you can see miners that wont connect, dropping hashrate, high % stale shares etc.  Deepbit is not immune from such problems, but its rare, and its not happening now. But whether or not those submitted valid shares produce blocks or not is only dependant on one single thing: LUCK. There isnt a bloody thing a poolop can do to improve luck (yes, im ignoring orphans and stale blocks).

As you may know, our pool is offering PPS mode too, so we are very careful about possible bugs that may cause longer rounds because we are paying our own funds to our clients during bad luck periods.

For Heaven's sake, give Deepbit a chance! After all it's one of (if not) the best pools around. Seems some of you never mined with a pool that had about 4 or 5 days to solve a block. As per good luck and bad luck; everything is coming down to equilibrium in the end.  Keep it up Tycho. You're doing a great job.

It's in the same place it has always been.  Just click on the worker and change the config under worker payout method.

tycho typed cat /etc/resolv.conf on one of his nix machines and totally ruined our luck.

"no, no, we have no technical issues!" check your DC, dude!

EDIT: will switch to an other pool until you have solved your issues and have your same stable setup again as it was in the last months.

EDIT2: one hint! would observe your network connections and maybe switch to an other back bone provider. for me it seams something did changed with your back bones. check your ping times.

No, this setting was never moved or removed.

Actually it's all my fault. I only washed my hands 10 times an hour yesterday where I normally wash them 12.7 times an hour to ensure the world keeps turning. I should have never listened to my shrink who suggested I wash them just a little bit less to prove the bubble of a universe we live in doesn't pop, or change...

Obviously the shrink was WRONG..

I've washed my hands 14.3 times extra so far this morning so things should return to normal soon. I hope I've done the math right, cause the world could start spinning too fast if I've made a mistake and that would certainly throw the entire bitcoin economy off when we started solving blocks in 3 seconds.

Again, I'm sorry.  Please forgive me.

bullshit! pool has verifiable network problems at the moment! it seems there are sporadically issues with a network component or the backbone. OP seems not be able to give more detailed information about this or is not able to locate these issues.
