O.k. so after all the bad luck 46 of the last 47 shifts have closed at 8 or more....... Now... no pointing fingers if that changes... but we have also had pool speed above 9000 Th/s for a healthy portion of the time Shifts were bumped from 7b to 7.5b when the speed went back up, so it's now ~9.4 blocks for neutral luck instead of ~8.75. Of course that'll change with the next diff change in about 8 hours . So how many blocks for neutral luck now that we in a new difficulty?

Question: in the worker tab there is an option to set minimum difficulty. is this better to set at highest or lowest setting?
As I understand it, just be honest at whatever your miner power is, set it accordingly to the GHs power it is capable of, or mining at. If you have a 180Ghs machine, set it to 128, a 1TH machine that might consistently slightly under-perform ... set it to 512 ... a 1.4TH miner then 1024. eleuthria will be able to give the exact info/guidance I'm sure, although I believe if you set it wrong, then there are safeguards in place where the site automatically adjusts things for you?

Always use the closest recommendation, rounded down. The system will automatically increase your stratum connection's difficulty if you set it to low. It will NOT decrease it if you set it too high.

If you leave it alone then the pool will automatically set the difficulty level for you.

A big congrats for having 10000 TH/s, and thanks eleuthria for your great work. Still finding it hard to believe how much it has grown in the last 3 years. The entire network was only around 300 GH/s when BTC Guild opened.

The entire network was only around 300 GH/s when BTC Guild opened. I was hoping to see the same kind of growth with ScryptGuild. Considering the news of you shutting it down, it's not doing that bad.

Sorry to users who may have been having some problems connecting the last few days. The pool has been getting hit on and off for the last 2-3 days. For the most part the attacks aren't affecting the pool.
As in the past, the DDoS/attack filtering does a very good job at keeping users running stable during an attack, it just causes issues when people are starting new connections if they get disconnected for another reason or restart their miners.
One tweak that had to be added was a longer blacklist on invalid miner workernames on the eu-stratum.btcguild.com frontend. If you're having issue with your worker being rejected on that server, a temporary workaround is trying stratum.btcguild.com instead.

I've had success the last few days by setting eu-stratum as my first backup pool for failover.

If were going to use a two week Luck Chart with shift/time points, is it possible to include an asterisk or colored dot to indicate which shift network diff. changed?
